[ROM][EXPERIMENTAL]P6-U06 B107 Repack - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK
I spent the last 3 days trying to get a way to flash roms, recoverys, etc. Finally, I managed to edit the B107 UPDATE.APP so probably can be flashed using the default recovery
This haven't been tested yet, probably the flash will fail, but we got a chance
You will loose root, this is like a B104 to a B107 update, you may experiment data loss so, backup is recommended
How to install
1- Download the edited ROM: https://mega.co.nz/#!7143GDxA!B5jM-A9FRYpsRs3vReeJSnbnirxLM22bUQt8YhCy8Ro (926.1 MB)
2- Extract dload folder in your sdcard (full route, /sdcard/dload/UPDATE.APP)
3- Go to, Settings->About Phone->Update System->Local Update
4- The phone will reboot and will start the flash automatically
5- Remove the dload folder or rename it
6- Report any trouble or if succeded
7- Thak you for try, it's done!
How to know if you really flashed the edited ROM?
1- Go to Settings->About Phone
Emotion UI Version will display: EmotionUI_1.6-Repacked
If this don't appear and the flash was sucessful, root your phone, and open build.prop, go to the end of the file and it should look like this:
Code:
ro.product.board=P6-U06
ro.product.brand=Huawei
ro.product.name=P6-U06
ro.product.device=hwp6-u06
ro.confg.hw_systemversion=P6-U06V100R001C00B107_SYSTEM
ro.build.display.id=P6-U06V100R001C00B107-Repacked
ro.build.tags=ota-rel-keys,release-keys
ro.build.user=android
ro.build.host=localhost#1
ro.build.id=HuaweiP6-U06
ro.build.version.incremental=C00B107
ro.build.description=P6-U06-user 4.2.2 HuaweiP6-U06 C00B107 ota-rel-keys,release-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=Huawei/P6-U06/hwp6-u06:4.2.2/HuaweiP6-U06/C00B107:user/ota-rel-keys,release-keys
ro.build.version.emui=EmotionUI_1.6-Repacked

I got a report that flash fails. Probably there's a checksum that prevents modifications.

No, that's not the point of the rom. It is only there to test if there is a possibility to flash on this phone and if yes, how. This is essentially just a step towards roms that have customizations etc.

Yeah, and, as i said, rom flash fails. I think there is a MD5RSA checksum in the recovery that prevents modification

Really very easy, just download the file from post 1 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2044645
There are two batch files: before.bat & after.bat. This method works to allow you to keep root moving from 1 rom to another. Just follow these steps:
1. Start with a rooted OS. Doesn't matter which.
2. Select UNKNOWN SOURCES from Security and debug from developer.
3. Plug the phone into the computer and select software mode. Run BEFORE.BAT.
4. Run app to install new OS of choice. (ie KDZ installer)
5. Wait for install to complete and when phone boot loops run AFTER.BAT.
6. Do a battery pull.
7. Hold down volume down while hitting power, keep held down till white text appears then release and press power button twice.
8. Welcome to your new and rooted OS.

If all you want to do is have v20f rooted but not install a custom ROM like cyanogenmod or a custom ICS ROM go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
But if you want to install a custom ROM then you must downgrade to gingerbread so cwm can be installed and to do so you must use the unbricking guide at the link provided a few posts up.

Trying the root method you suggested. I successfully back up my data, then restore, then after the restart, it says:
can't find RIC file in E:\My Downloads.
The RIC file is in the "stuff" folder AFTER being extracted, so why is it looking for it in My Downloads, and not My Downloads\stuff? I tried to copy the RIC file from the "stuff" folder to My Downloads\, and now it says:
remote object '/system/bin/ric' does not exist
Going to copy files to its place

Make sure of several things:
1. Put the UPDATE.APP in a dload folder on your sd card.
2. Make sure the sd card is formatted as fat32.
3. Make sure that no USB is plugged in while you try to update.
4. Make sure that you have more than 50% battery.

[Q] Kind request

Guys, just a quick request.
I bought my P6 some weeks ago, got it already with the B120 firmware, installed Hyd52Rom V5 and TWRP for JB.
I think my battery is draining too fast, I can't watch more than 2 hours of some movie before dropping to 5% from 100%.
So, I came here hoping to install B125, allegedly more battery friendly, and KitKat + TWRP for KK. But the respective project pages are confusing on what I must have prior to the installations.
So, can I install B125, KitKat and TWRP on my current specs without any risk? As I said, my current specs are B120 firmware, Hyd53Rom V5 and TWRP for JB.
If so, whats is the correct order of install?
Thanks in advance.
So, no one?
Revert to stock recovery, update to kk beta using local update, flash twrp kk through adb, reboot to twrp and flash gapps

You have to get an unlocked bootloader first, which means you will have to get a Chinese firmware (B118CN, B120CN or KK Beta...). KK Beta is the safest way to go if you want to go to custom roms.

Ok, installed B125 and rooted. I was able to install CWM in order to install TWRP as it's required. Got into CWM and selected the package I downloaded from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2534420.
I downloaded the 2.1 and 2.0 versions. It installs fine, but when I select reboot from CWM it says my ROM may reinstall the stock recovery and asks if I want to fix it. First time I selected "No" and there were no TWRP, only stock recovery. Second time I selected "Yes, fix it", and TWRP is still not installed, so it doesn't matter what I do, it only reboots to stock recovery...
Tried this 10 times, 5 with each of the versions.
Any ideas?

Ok, everything is fine now. The thing is, the projects pages are very confusing, and I didn't see we must restart the phone pressing Volume+ or Volume- a couple times when powering up the cellphone to boot into TWRP.
Someone ought to organize the projects pages better...

[ROM][d802] Recovery Flashable d802 STOCK 80220B Open EUR (rootable)

Made this from the new 80220B Open EUR XX kdz. This is the 16GB/32GB version. Works well, no Bloat, no carrier logos or splashscreens. I'm on SIM Free UK version, for interest. But this will work on any European d802. 4G is fine.
This is the complete LG KK 20B ROM - nothing missing or messed with.
If you follow the method below exactly, no Audio glitches, no Touchscreen problems.
You can flash SuperSU and get root if you wish - your choice.
I provide this assuming you have an understanding of the terminology used below and appreciate that any flashing activity has some risk.
I strongly advise against using any form of restore from previous backups, such as TB or Nandroid.
Once the process is complete, custom recovery will be lost.
Method:
Download both the ROM zip file linked below and SuperSU zip file (if you want root) and copy to your SD card.
You need to be already on Rooted JB or PURE CM11 with either TWRP 2.6.3.3 or 2.6.3.4 (nothing else).
Reboot to TWRP recovery
Wipe: System, Data, Cache. Dalvik (nothing else)
Flash the ROM zip - ignore any "FAIL" warnings.
Wipe Cache and Dalvik (nothing else)
Go to the Mount page in TWRP and select System (leave the other defaults alone)
Flash the SuperSU zip - ignore any "FAIL" warnings
Reboot
Done

the rom files for 16gb and 32gb are exactly the same. so it doesn't matter so it seems. check: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51065312&postcount=4061
Download link on OP
Has anyone flashed this on a 32GB device?
Thanks for this
In guessing that if we want a fully open flashable system as before we need to install this ROM, then flash the patched Kernel, then reflash our custom recovery, all in the same recovery session. Is that right?

can u teach us?
File is 54% uploaded. I am currently writing up how to use my files and also how i did it for anyone that wants to do it manually. ONLY TESTED ON UK D802 16GB. Can't make guarantees on anything else although i've heard there are no 16/32gb variations for Kitkat?!

hi
i didnt get ur question correctly
if u have twrp/cwm installed on your phone then,only u can install costom roms
if u have stock recovery>>>if it fails then u gotta say which version of rom do/did u have
cuz u cant just install any stock firmware.if u have kk installed,then u've to install kk beta first,then install the other roms

Thats why everything is on chinese, thats the first kitkat beta firmware that leaked, if you want english you can upgrade it to B510 or B511 since those are the official english ones without the chinese crap. Now since you were able to install the beta you can install those ones without any problem.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/asc...m-huawei-p6-u06-android-kitkat-4-4-2-t2813187 like this one? i dont seem to understand the twrp part. do i need to plug it into a pc to put it on? sorry for the noob question i have gotten confused with all of this.
That installation goes through custom recovery, im suggesting that you do a clean install like the one you nade for B104 through the stock recovery.
