The Verizon HTC One release date is August 22nd in stores and online, and the 32GB model will arrive with an attractive $199 price for users on a two-year contract.

Well I am picking this up just as long as it can be unlocked and rooted and I can get the 32GB version in Black.
So it's confirmed this is coming with 4.2.2. Im not on Verizon but I believe unread an article last week that said it was shipping with 4.2.2 . Hope this pushes tmobike , att, sprint to push the otas for those still patient enough to wait.

Just called a Verizon Wireless store (who I hope were wrong) but told me so far they only see this being available in the white/silver color (not the black) and only in 16GB (not 32) for $199 starting August 22nd.
I am praying this is not true.

Good point he probably messed that part up. But yea still concerned with color. I don't want to pay hundreds of dollars for a new phone I am not crazy about the color of.
I'd be happy with black or blue in 32. Hopefully comes with the standard retail price of $579
they have launched a dual sim version of HTC ONE 602d in india (unlocked) with 32gb internal memory + expandable storage upto 64gb and it comes with 4.2.2
you guys should also get the 32gb one with 4.2.2 since your version will not be dual sim + no expandable memory slot.

Disregard the 16gb guy just made a mistake.
Also concerned about Verizon locking down the phone but there is usually a work around.
This is great news for the Verizon users who have waited so patiently for this amazing device. So far it doesn't look like there will be a black version (at least not a launch) and no mention of a 64gb version either. I actually prefer the silver but I would take any color because it's that good of a device. Hopefully those who prefer black can tolerate the silver
I've decided since the ONE debut that silver was going to be my choice so no problems for me haha. Phone will be locked down for sure, but I actually like how sense 5 looks, esp with the 4.2.2 update so I can afford to wait for the bootloader unlock... i think..

People think I'm mad selling my SGS2 for the Galaxy nexus, but I've always been a fan of the Nexus phones (had a Nexus One imported from the US when it was released).

I will keep my SGS II for some time and decide which one I prefer, then will sell one. Had SGS II for about 2 months and learned that I don't care about camera, 16GB storage is all I need and that I don't really care about gaming.
I'm only worried I might find Nexus to be too big.

Price has now dropped from £740 to £600... still £100 more than I was hoping Amazon would have it for...
though they still have the SGSII for @£425 (excluding marketplace sellers).

Ouch amazon thats way too much for a phone I am personally hoping they will drop the price just before release like the nexus s to a more reasonable level.
Keeping my GSII anyway and might upgrade my contract with Vodafone around Jan to get the Galaxy Nexus as well.
At those prices I'll be waiting until the new year to see if there's much discount.

I was in the same boat. I had the order screen up, staring at the pay button. Finally I just effin pressed Pay now. I sold my GS2 and paid a good chunk more for this phone. It arrived today. It seriously is the most amazing phone I've ever used. I have an iPhone 4 now for work and a GS2 before it for personal. The combo of ICS and this beautiful device just make for an awesome out of box experience. If you really want it, if you keep looking up stuff about it and thinking about it...buy it. You won't regret it.
it doesn't help i've already bought a mhl adapter, 6" rt angle to rt angle 3.5mm cable, screen protector, tpu case for it and an otg cable.

well, canada is unofficially dec. 7. and verizon is unofficially dec. 8. i'm sure verizon has at least a 60 day exclusive on this. i just don't see the u.s. getting any love any sooner because google has failed to give us any details on an unlocked usa version.

I would say your best bet is to at least wait for the release in Canada and then import it from Canada. You'll probably get a better deal that way. The official release date in Canada is Dec.8 and that's just a matter of less than two weeks so I would say wait until then and see if there is any more news on the GSM version in USA, and if not, import it from Canada for a smaller price
EDIT: Actually, either way the unlocked Galaxy Nexus from Bell is $649 without tax so with taxes and duty fees etc. its probably going to amount to the same price. Lol, I guess that was no help after all

Ok, I'll play devil's advocate for this thread. I happen to be one that really wants this phone as well, however I am going to wait just a little while longer for any rumors that it will be available 'legitimately' in the US for GSM. A few thoughts Im having:
- Warranty. If I were to buy from Negri, Handtec etc, while they most likely would assist in getting my device fixed, it would still take probably 2-6 weeks and 9 months down the road they may not be as helpful to expedite it. Also, they may give you a loaner phone, otherwise you would have to provide that while you're phone is in the shop.
- I have a feeling the US based GSM phones will be $599 for 16gb. While its only $100 less than buying it right now, I figure its worth the small wait.
- While I believe everyone's opinion over this phone, I also wanted to at least see a Verizon version of the device at a Best Buy just to make sure.
I have gone through a lot of android devices lately and hoping to find the right fit for me. Assuming the Nexus is, I hope to own it for at least 18 months. For others, feel free to refute me and maybe I'll be suckered into buying now as well
I'm one of the unlucky Handtec people still waiting on my pre-order and I would still hit the checkout button even with the foreknowledge of this. It's one of the few phones out there where the hardware and software are working together rather than the multitude of phones that are indeed hardware powerhouses but have the OS slapped on seemingly as an afterthought.

International warranty does not apply to usa. Check amazon reviews of many samsung international phones to verify.
My grandma beat me down and took my nexus. Sent from a jitterbug with beats by dre.
I had a unlocked htc touch pro 2 and the international warranty worked for me when i dropped my phone in coffee. They charged me a $28 international warranty fee + shipping to chicago.
I don't see why samsung would be any different.
I read on another forum that the website is known to sell black market items and one thing that they are know for is their long shipping time.. I think they are legit but it might take time for us to receive the phone..
ive purchased from them before they usually take a week to ship out the items and they always use ups and give you a tracking number if that helps

Hearing Sold Out @BB!
Wow, I was able to pre-order mine for Verizon on Thursday, this past week.
I've been waiting for them to open the pre orders on their website because I don't live near a bb but I would be willing to drive to pick it up to save $200. If I can't order it through bb I'm gonna be pissed. I really don't want to deal with uploading the receipts and all that crap for the other promo. If I have to I will, but I would much rather deal with bb. I am pre ordering by the end of the week no matter what weither it's from bb or verizon.
When I preordered the Sprint one there was issues with their site and store connections. I had to go back 2 days later to put it in. At that time there was a message flashing across the screen that the Verizon preorders could not be taken yet. Just keep calling until they are up, you have until the 16th to preorder.

I was in there Saturday also and was told all they had left to pre-order was white. When I got home and looked online even white was gone. Bummer because the employee told me that the tradein program was very lax and that they would accept pretty much any phone as long as it turned on and didn't have water damage/major cracks.
i went in to a bb to check out the note 4 as well. Phone is sick! but i asked the same about pricing and ordering and they didnt have a clue on both! I was like really!??
Wife and I went to 3 Best Buy's yesterday to preorder for Verizon, 1st said only White was available, so I hesitated due to wanting black, so we drove to the next BB where they said preorders at their store sold out on Saturday, drove to the next BB and was told ALL BB Verizon preorders were shutdown Friday night due to being oversold. Was told this by both BB employees and Samsung Mobile employees at all 3 stores. Was really pissed because the preorder hasnt even began on BB website for Verizon - has always said Coming Soon.
Ended up preodering at Costco - 1 black and 1 white.
I know the phone is much higher through best than what saw at Verizon. The AT&T version is $825 and the Verizon version is $699.99.

That's what I saw also. I preordered the white from Verizon for $699.
I had the same experience... not able to Pre-Order online so I went into my local store. They said pre-orders were sold out as well. I called the Best Buy Mobile store and was surprised to hear him say they could pre-order black or white still. Ran up.. pre-ordered the phone!
Apparently BB allocations for the N4 are tapped out. Verizon obviously got the lion share of allocations.
Anybody thinking they will get the offer for full price sales are dreaming even more now.

Are you talking about the $200 off deal for full retain purchase of the note 4?

The $200 deal is from Samsung so that stills good, just that Bestbuy is sold out with their limits so you can't pre order from them any more, but you could get N4 from Amazon or Verizon.
I had the same experience... not able to Pre-Order online so I went into my local store. They said pre-orders were sold out as well. I called the Best Buy Mobile store and was surprised to hear him say they could pre-order black or white still. Ran up.. pre-ordered the phone!

Well in our mall Best Buy Mobile is like a very small mini store. Also have been reading reports that this promotion will jot work unless you do 2 yr contract or edge plan... However I clearly asked and made sure that I could purchase the Note 4 at full retail and receive the $200 trade in value on my Motorola Droid X.
Employee said that it says clearly when activation 2 year contracts when they do promotions like this but this promotion had none of that wording. Simply towards any "purchase". Got it all in writing and had them sign it so I would have a "leg to stand on" if for some reason that went against what they were telling me.
BTW they said they had several in both black and white they could still pre order and their store hadn't reached they're limit

I ordered the G4 from Tmobile on the 27th, got the shipping number on the 28th. It should be at my house next week 2nd.
Cant wait for the sweet sweet sound of the UPS guys ringing my doorbell.

PO'd mine last night for Verizon, get it Monday! I got the grey version. Don't need any stupid leather since I use cases cause I'm clumsy and constantly drop my phone.

I just got boned by Verizon. I PO my order on the 27th and they are shipping PO today. BUT, for some reason they errored on my order and contacted me to say it did not go out today with everyone else who PO and will get on Monday. I will not get until Tuesday.... maybe :/
I PO'd on Tuesday from Sprint. I just got the email that it shipped today.
Edit: got my tracking number. Should be here Tuesday! Earlier than the 5th so I'm slightly happy.

So, question. I asked this at Best Buy and both the cell representative and manager told me I can just go online and find it, which it's not listed and they were of little help.
I want the International model as it doesn't come with carrier bloat. Does anybody familiar with Best Buys workings know if they can order it for me? Or are they limited to carrier versions?

As far as i know they don't. But if you manage to find this let me know. I would love to pre order this version instead of the att version from bestbuy.

I submitted my information for both as well. One is a T-Mobile exclusive offer and the other is for everyone. I got emails from both saying that they received my information and that I should get a confirmation email within 5 days.
My Verizon model should be here by 8 PM today. Woohoo!
