[Q] Oh that slow battery charge... - Verizon HTC One (M7)

Had a One on T-Mobile for a brief stint when it first came out. Got one on Verizon now. It's a little silly how long this phone takes to charge once you get up to 80% or so... is there any way to help speed this up? At this point it's slower than the Droid Maxx I've been trying out for the past couple of days...

windows mobile 6.1 shuts off

a weird thing has been happening to me and my friends unlocked phones we had t-mobile dashes running a version older copy of kavana 6.1 and our phones always just shut off ar random for no reason at all mostly when on the internet but the weird thing that got me thinking it was either microsoft or t-mobile was doing a remote kill was the fact my friend was over and they both went off at the exact same time anyone else experience this weird event? well anyways i update my rom to the newest one not really using it though have a g1 now so im just asking
You need a new battery. That is all.
I recommend getting a new batttery, when this occurs most likely it is a faulty or used up battery...
It is the battery was doing it to me as well until I gotta new one. Make sure to get a good battery. I bought a generic one on ebay and it works but its buggy. Freezes a lot. would recommend htc battery. Btw there is a thread already on this topic please use search option next time.

No idea and to be honest i don't think you will find an answer to why they shut off @ the time maybe they just share the love for more juice?
What do you mean?

Yah this is a weird event I agree with you 100%...
Had the same thing happen here, my wife's battery started going on the same day as mine. I think the batterys have a very limited lifespan.

Yeah they do not tend to last long, especially if they are the stock batteries the phone came with.
Mine lasted for 7 months before I had to switch it out, not very good! Then again my dash is my one stop source of entertainment so it was used heavily.
ok ill try a new battery where did u get yours from

phone hot and battery dies fast

Lately my phone has been needing charging a lot more often.
Also its getting hot even when not charging. I rooted the phone and removed apps months ago. I have done nothing different for over a month. I do not use the internet and don't realy have any programs running in the back ground. Can some one give me a little help or a link as to why this is happening just in the last week or so? I have done a factory reset.

[Q] Phone Problems

It's a few to list.
1)Light leakage from almost the entire bottom of the phone alligned with the 4keys. The search key also have light leakage.
2)Charging port about to go out. If I'm transfering stuff to my computer or usb tethering it I softly bump my phone it disconnects then reconnect and ask the four usb options. I stopped using my usb and use the external charger.
3)Forced to use Verizon roaming lol my data speeds were always over 1mbps but later went to .2-.56 max even around 3am when data should be tops. Verison i get great speed but don't signal drops a lot.
4) Today my phone randomly shut off on a 80-86% battery no led showed up on when I put the charger in. I tried my OEM battery and my Extended battery and still a no go had to let the phone sit for like 10 minutes then try again. This isn't the first time my phone has done this and I wasn't even using it pick it up to send a text realized it was off.
That's the main prob should I call sprint or asurion. Sprint tries to give me a hard time like when i called in for my blackberry and my first evo that had software issues before I rooted they keep repeating if we don't find something wrong with your phone your going to be charged and would you believe they charged me :-( $100 for a phone that I didn't root and had problems with they did credit me like $50 back after me complaining. That's why I'm kinda trying to make up my mind about sending my phones back. I guess its cause I'm young lol jk but what should I do and I'm tired of that blackberry the phone can be off the charger for 3 hours and die with network off horrible battery they even gave me a new battery and the thing dies faster than me evo before rooting. They keep telling me the same thing over and over check your settings and talking about it might be the battery knowing they just gave me a brand new battery and the freaking phone heats up. What would you do in this case?
Strap a fake bomb to your chest and go into the Sprint store demanding a new phone.
Worked for me last time.

Whats going on with peoples Evo???

Wondering what's going on with peoples Evo lately... Mine stopped working for 3 hours then came back on.... I went to sleep this morning and left it on the USB charger...Woke up and noticed that my supersonic was off and went through the normal routine of trying to get it back on..(battery pull, tried booting into recovery, pulled SD card, tried different charger) all to no avail.... Get to the store and the tech tells me my battery is deformed (even told me to feel the buldge, which I did not feel). Their solution was for me to by a new battery...they wouldn't replace and im covered with the TEP....just as I was about to purchase the extended battery cause they didnt have the stock battery, I push the power button and my phone boots... Walked out the store baffled but the phone has been working ever since...
I been reading similar stories and my simple question is what the hell is going on...

Probably something with the kernel, that seems to be the common denominator so far.
Almost all of us hack our phones in some way: rooting, flashing roms, flashing kernels, adding programs (like hulu, wireless tether), etc etc. Since our battery life sucks anyway, many of us charge our phones multiple times per day. Li-Ion batteries aren't exactly known for their stability. If you Google it, you'll find that they've been acting funny and blowing up for nearly a decade (the oldest news story I could find dated back to 2002).
Since we run our phones really hard, sometimes the battery bugs out for a little while, or dies completely. It was recently blamed on SBC kernels, but we're talking a very small percentage of users experiencing problems. However, it's the nature of the beast that sometimes the phone just has a mild heart attack and comas out for a bit. I would still replace the battery or at least take it easy on flashing things for a little while.
As our phone grows older, we have more and more options on what to do with it...and that's just super but over-flash too much and one line of code doesn't make it and boom, your phone doesn't turn on for 3 hours. Software is a fickle *****, so have fun but be cautious. Always check your logcats and battery monitors.
Thanks for this very logical explanation... Ordered new battery just in case....and will take heed to your recommendations..

Just saw you said your battery was deformed... yeah, that's why you don't use kernels with sbc. It's pretty stupid to honestly.
Check out a video on youtube of what they can do when overcharged.
And definitely get rid of that battery. That's not something you want to be using.

maybe you should enlighten him that batteries aren't perfect nor are they any where near invincible, they come and go, just like cars, just like power supplies, just like anything. Relax with the NAZI, "SBC OMGGGGGGGG" that's all, it's every thread and it's all opinionated. And no, I'm not going to argue with 4.2 charge full dangerous 4.3 read this site, then dip your oreo while doing a kickflip, no, just relax with the opinions that's all...

Just Venting

AT&T has done pissed me off. First year and a half of my contact I used a T-mobile note 3. Did all my root/rom/kernel fun and didn't think twice about it. Broke it and bought an actual AT&T note 5 and I went straight home to root it............been bummed ever since. The forums are dead and there is nothing to talk about, flash, modify or fix. I haven't missed a bootloop from flashing a unstable kernel so much in my life. I'm just bored..........and if you do the math, my contact is up, I just need to finish paying off the note 5 before I move on.........thing wasn't cheap so it will still be a few months...........and I will still need to buy a new phone with sprint/T-mobile. See!!!!! This is why I am over AT&T. I just want to tinker with my phone and it will cost me a crap ton of money to get the phone I want, on a carrier that let's me actually own my damn phone!!!!! AAAAAAGGGGGGGGG!!!!!! Okay, I feel better, not good but better.
If I actually had time I would try but now I'm married with a 1 year old and work 6 to 7 days week, back when I was single I would have sleepless nights working on roms and finding exploits, I will eventually get around to unlocking this bootloader, just have to wait till work flow slows down.

It's going to take some9ne very special to untether root the note 5. There is root but it sucks and you can't let your phone die and its super laggy and dies fast. We tired and we just can't get anything with our skills.
