Root samsung tab 3 7.0 SM-T211 - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I read the rooting method for the samsung galaxy tab 3 7.0 SM-T211, but the firmware listed on that thread was a different one from that listed on my device.
My device has a firmware T211XXAMH1. (confused whether to proceed with the suggested steps or just wait).
Hence it would be very helpful if anyone suggests me to root my device step by step.
Also please provide steps to swap internal and external memories with and without rooting.
Thank you in advance.

Procedure is available in the development. As for me, I will wait for the method to root the installed firmware. Also swapping memory does not work even with root and also no CWM recovery and no usb OTG.... Thinking of changing to 8 version.....

Hello,
Any developments regarding my earlier post regarding the root method for my galaxy tab 3 SM T211 with Baseband version T211XXAMH1?

WHATS THIS?
This is my port of CF-AUTOROOT for the Samsung Galaxy TAB E.
You flash this at your own risk. Please ensure you have the stock ROM to hand downloaded from SAMMOBILE or a TWRP backup in case of problems. This will trip the knox counter.
Flash with ODIN 3.10.7 in the AP slot.
Load the respective file below into the AP slot and hit start.
cfautoroot_sm-t377p.tar
cfautoroot_sm-t560nu.tar
NOTE: ON SOME 5.1.1 DEVICES IT IS NECESSARY TO GO TO:
Settings -> Developer Options -> OEM unlocking
AND ENABLE OEM UNLOCK FIRST OR YOU MAY ENCOUNTER 'BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK' WHEN FLASHING.
STOCK TWRP IMAGE FOR SM-T377P
This is a link to the stock system, boot, modem image for the T377P in case anyone needs it. Needs to be restored with twrp.

FRP lock
Any suggestions on getting pass an FRP lock? My niece tried to root it but didn't turn on the enable OEM unlock. I just literally got it so don't have a back up and stock rom is no where I can find online even tried the Samsung Switch software and the T377P is not an option.

Isn't there a recovery mode in the SS software that allows the firmware to be reflashed?

That was my plan ...however they do not support this model number yet so its not available to be reflashed. I checked sammobile as well figuring I could download firmware and use Odin to reflash and same situation.
There's a chance the sm-t377R4 firmware may flash as it's practically identical to the sprint firmware just a different csc.
Okay....will try and find that one.
Hi, I had a question. The Samsung Tab E is my first android device (I am a IOS user, so i know how to Jailbreak, but I don't know how to root!). My friend told me to root it, but I don't really know how to do it. Can you post a step by step tutorial. Also, after i rooted can i update my device to a newer version or do i have to remove the root. Lastly, how do you back up your device? Thank you! I appreciate your hard work!

You can follow the tutorial below, it's for the Tab A but the procedure is identical.
Obviously don't use the cf_autoroot file in the tutorial use the one here. Also note the PDA button in Odin is now called AP.

You can update your device with odin anytime you want but not via ota.
To back up you device you need to install TWRP.
Search Google for info on using TWRP.

I tried the t377R4 firmware that didn't work. Any idea on where I could track down a copy of the t377p? Odd I can't even use the Samsung Smart Switch or even Kies as it doesn't recognize the model number. Or if anyone has a backup available they can share please let me know.
I have a US Cellular Samsung Tab E SM-T377R4 and I rooted it using the procedure below. The root process went fine and everything is working well except Recovery Mode does not work. It just boots to a black blank screen when I try to go to Recovery Mode. But that's no big deal to me.

Surprised recovery doesn't work, considering the 2 devices are identical specs.
Try installing Twrp, you'll probably find that works OK.

Rooting gone bad... Rooted my SM-T377P with KingRoot and there is an FRP Lock that comes up a week later. All of the custom ROM versions I have keep getting rejected by ODIN every time I try to flash them. The only other way I can think of doing this is to flash the stock ROM for the device.

bypass battery limit without root

Hi guys, could someone explain to me clearly how to get my battery level back to 100% on my galaxy note 7?
I would like to do everything without giving root permits. I have searched on the forum but sadly i couldn't find a step by step guide to help me.
Model: SM-N930F
Android version: 6.0.1
Kernel version: 3.18.14-9450328
Build version: MMB29K.N930FXXU2BPJ9
Baseband version: N930FXXU2BPJ5
Serial number: RFH8H91FDMKW
I think you have to root once the update is on your device as the only way to remove it once it is on the device is to change the firmware.

no that's not true, you do not require root to flash firmware via odin..in fact if your already rooted doing so will unroot your device. but yes you need flash the previous firmware in odin to remove the charging killing update
the important part is keeping the OTA from happening again. most of the package diasablers i know of have been updated and dont work now.
there is an ADB method but the easiest way to prevent it is rooting but the OP doesnt want to root so he is going to ha e to research the other methods i mentioned to find something that works.
short if that get used re flashing the previous firnware over and ovet to get back full charging capability.

no you wont lose anything at all unless you factory reset...that will wipe your device.
that said sometimes a factory reset is needed after flashing in odin so i would move anything you want to keep to your ext SD card just in case then move it back after.
your English is fine my friend no worries!

Thanks to your help, I think I can flash the old rom. Regarding the updates, I would like to use this app: "package disabler pro 6.2"
What do you think about that?

Hi, I'm having a problem downgrading back to before the update. I have the FD version.
If I try to flash the bootloader in Odin, it tells me unsupport dev type and crashes. If i try to flash the twrp, it tells me custom OS installation is locked. What do I need to do? I am noob, never done this before. Please let me know what I need to do to fix this?

Just start reading here from post #204:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-7/help/dont-update-package-disabler-pro-want-t3489243/page21
However, maybe it's not working for you, if you were already hit by an android security patch in the firmware you actually have. It differs depending from your country or provider specific version. But if you don't get the java.lang.SecurityException, all will be fine. Just try.

Lenovo ViBE p1 Root

Hi everyone. I am new and I agree that I am complete noob in this field. I have never did any update to my stock vibe p1 ROM because it runs very smoothly and I never encountered a single issue like other users had. Now I want to just Root it but I don't want any upgrades( in terms of version update). I know that this question may have been answered earlier but all the listed method is so confusing. Can anyone please just put the step by step instruction on how to root my vibe p1 and please share the link of the necessary files in this thread. I am sorry for wasting your time but I need to root it to gain access to my network settings. Thanks in advance.

You could tell this important information in your o.p. so we can skip this step.
Now... write here what your system is, like what is written in: Settings/About phone/Device information/Build number.
What you have to do is to read some articles from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/vibe-p1/development/qpst-flashing-vibeui-3-1-s272-rom-t3386650
I think, if you dont know what to do, go to someone who knows and can help you.

Thanks for reply. That is the exact thing I meant when i called myself noob. My build is p1a_42_s137_151028_ROW. I did mentioned I got confused though I know this is not a new topic. I think the process (in the link) is for upgrades and what I want is just root because I never got a 100% satisfied user after any upgrades let it be via ota(starting with 30mb patch) or custom Row. My handset works perfectly fine. No lag no heating , no battery draining, etc. I want to root because I want to tweak network settings which is not possible with non rooted mode as SQL is not accessable. Sorry i was not able to provide whole info but I truly don't use blogs or social sites so I lack the idea.

Tell me one thing!
When you tried to root your phone with kingo root tool, did you activated USB Debugging option from developer section ?
If not, activate this option from developer option and try again.
To activate this option you must go to : Settings/About phone/Device information/Build number and press fast many times on it till developer tab is activated.
Go to Settings/Developer options and activate the option from there.
Write here what is going on.

There is a bootloader lock on the phone. Applications is useless. The bootloader must first be unlocked, or root application must be installed on the rom. The best solution for you is to unlock the bootloader lock and install twrp. Please see the following page:

Well I can only say that with my rom 288 the process was If you have already unlocked bootloader is using QFIL and selecting rawprogram_twrp.xml put supersu zip on your sd card boot into twrp recovery and install supersu zip.

It probably works with the qfil file of your same rom. You need to add and flash bootloader files into the same rom(data can be deleted). ROM version is not important for the bootloader file. If the process is successful, you can install twrp and supersu.zip

Your mentioned method was for older Samsung devices like note 4,5 and the like
Rooting and twrp installing on newer Samsung devices is a bit different
Previously we used superSU for root but now we use magisk as root solution. Rooting with magisk is as easy as superSU method but the procedure is different. It not difficult by any means
The linked guides is the safest method for A70.
Read the forums and all comments. Follow instruction word by word.
If you encounter problem ask on the concerned forums
Still if you are too scared, maybe don't root and use the phone as such till you get confident enough to proceed with it.

if you updated to android 10 twrp won't work , if you are still on SL4 , you just need to patch grarak recovery.img instead of AP
(don't forget to flash a blank vbmeta.img)

I haven't since I don't feel the need to owing to reason this device is my 2ndary driver and not that much in use.
But whatever your confusion are, voice them at the forums and threads and people will reply back
A video tutorial is already on YouTube for A70.
Infact a50 method is same as for A70 so watch any a50 method

What is the best rooting method for A70?

Hello,
I've had the A70 for about a year now and I'm really itching to get this rooted! I can see a few posts that people are successfully rooting their A70.
What's the best 100% working method to install Trwp and rooted? I don't want a method that you have to mess about with pressing buttons just to make the phone boot I'd rather wait for a fully working method.
Thanks

there is TWRP guide, and for ANdroid 10 there's separate guide on rooting. Just read and follow it.

Possible for links and I just want to make sure it's a 100% method to work properly before I proceed.
Thanks

Samsung A70 requires following instructions to the word for successful root.
I for one had problem having stable root on stock Android 9 with twrp recovery.
I have tried lots of guides, none but the one linked in my signature which is not eve mine, actually worked for me
