Calendar App/Widget for Tablets - Nexus 7 (2013) Themes and Apps

Hello everyone!
So I've been searching for a good calendar app for tablets, but haven't had any luck. I usually use Business Calendar on my phone since I really like their month calendar widget.
However, the problem on tablets (at least from what I've experienced) is that the month calendar widgets usually don't scale well when transitioning from portrait to landscape mode (and vice versa).
What calendar apps do you guys use? Can anyone recommend one that has a month calendar widget that works well in portrait/landscape mode?
Thanks!

I use aCalendar because its widget simply works and looks great. It holds its resize settings on a screen and has multiple views. I use the 7 day / week widget view and it syncs perfectly with my Google calendar.

I use Digical on both phone and tablet. Widgets are wonderful. The month one does require the paid version.

+1. I love the Digical+ widgets, especially because they are transparent. The app is very good as well, although not necessarily required.

Task managing/ calendar app

Hi, can someone please recommend me a good pda type app that I can use for keeping track of appointments and other things such as daily task and just things in general that I don't want to forget. I'm a student and would like a way to keep track of my assignments and tests that I need to study for. Right now I have astrid tasks and use that but I'm not too happy with it. I would like it if it would remind me ahead off time of sn upcoming event but it doesn't have that functionality. I would also like for it to sync with a calendar app. What are your recommendations? I would also like a full calendar widget that lets me view all of the months events on there respective days right on my home screen. I have jorte right now.
again, here's what I'm looking for:
-assignment manager for school for homework and tests
-daily task manager with reminders before the task is due
-calendar app that has a widget that allows for viewing of the entire month and each individual days activities right from the home screen

I use gtasks, it syncs with google calender, well the task portion of google calendar anyway, has a coule kick butt widgets. It also has the ability to alert you, you can set time and date of task and how far ahead to alert you. if youd like screenies let me know. In the Market under GTasks by Dato, has both free with ads, (ads are only in the program not on the widget) and a paid version.Give it a shot it works great.

Thanks, I have GTasks but I was looking for a calendar app that will give me a reminder before the actual even is scheduled to take place like a couple days or hours before. Not one that I have to go and look at the calendar to see what's going on for that particular day.

My GTasks does that, on the particular task just click on "Due Date" its on the upper right corner of the task itself, gives you an option to add a due date and then a reminder you can set for whatever you want, I think the only limitation is that the reminder only lets you set a time for the day you have set as the actual due date. Sorry couldn't be of more help.
what about Pure Calendar widget? It syncs with my gmail calendar and allows for a ridiculous amout of customization

[Q] A few questions on the Juggernaut ROM

Hi all, I have been spending the last couple of days getting my SGS2 setup and I am very pleased with the Juggernaut ROM all except a few minor things.
I am coming from an HTC HD2 running an HTC Desire based ROM. I really liked Sense and the widgets it came with. I see a lot of alternative launchers out there to replace TouchWiz on the SGS2, but has anyone ever tried to put Sense on one of these?
What I specifically miss about Sense and my old ROM is
1.) The calender widget - It was simple and automatically integrated with Facebook so I could see everyone's birthdays in the month view. I was surprised to see that the calendar widget that came in the Juggernaut ROM didn't do this. I have been all over the market searching for a widget that would do this, but have found none.
2.) The SMS widget - It was simple and made it very easy to navigate message threads from one of my home screens. Beautiful Widgets Pack 2 has a widget that is close to what I want, but it is not the same.
3.) The SMS threading - The Juggernaut ROM uses an SMS threading system similar to the iPhone message bubbles (yuck!). I would really like to change this to almost anything else, mostly so my GF doesn't say my SGS2 copied her iPhone
Don't consider these things complaints, they are just things I would like to have changed to my liking and I was hoping someone would point me in the right direction.
Launcher pro has a calendar like sense, also SMS widget and other

Yeah, I tried that one already, but it does not get the birthdays for Facebook. It has an option to display birthdays, and I have it selected, but the birthdays still don't display. I don't care so much what the calendar looks like (that one does look nice though) as long as it is a month view and displays Facebook birthdays.
Update:
I got the default calendar working with Facebook. Even though I had my Facebook account setup on the phone, it was not setup on the calendar. Once I put it in all worked as I had wanted.
Android pro Widgets is the best way to get sense like Widgets. You can use it with any launcher that supports scrollable Widgets. Not sure about Facebook Calender sync though . Never tried it
I just tried this you can sync Facebook event calendars with google calenders. So that's pretty nice.
techbu.com/2011/02/04/how-tosync-facebook-birthdays-with-google-calendar
Also there are several SMS replacement apps in the market. I use handcent.
Like panda said these things you listed have nothing to do with Juggernaut and everything to do with touchwiz and samsung.
I would suggest the complete ICS theme on it. Biggg difference

What if I freeze "calendar" with TB?

I'm using Calengoo and syncing with Google Calendar. I was getting two audio notifications when it's time for a notification to go off. I've frozen the built in calendar function with Titanium Backup and that solved the double notification sound problem. Am I likely to see any problems after doing this? Are there any functions etc. that depend on the default calendar app?
Thanks for any info on this.
Can I ask why you didn't just go into the Calendar settings and turn off notifications?

On Stock ICS 4.0.4, I cannot even find my original calendar. I may have deleted it entirely. I use CalenGoo as well. But with TiB, you cannot freeze "Calendar Storage" or your dates will disappear. Other than that, you should be good.

I just unfroze it and turned off notifications so thanks for the suggestion. When I add an app that replaces a stock app (using Calengoo instead of stock Calendar in this case) I like to "get rid" of the original app if possible. I don't know that there's any kind of savings in memory or cpu cycles, but to me it's like taking the un-used china and putting it into a closet rather than wasting space in the kitchen for something I'm not using. Also it doesn't show up and get selected by accident. But there's always that chance that something else in the system depends on it so I posted my original question. I can say that while it was frozen, nothing else seemed to be affected. However, like a later poster in this thread, I did find that freezing calendar storage caused problems.
I tend to freeze any apps that do not need to be available to reduce ram consumption especially if the app is preloaded into ram at boot time. Also, this will speed up the boot process as well. Keeps my app drawer less congested too.

Homework task list

hey guys, i wanna know if anyone knows a good to do list or task list or whatever you wanna call it, for keeping in track of doing my homework. i want an app thats simple and quick, and have a nice Holo themed UI(optional), and also just work well in jotting down my homework assingments. Cos i really dont like carrying a planner around and using it is really boring and jus wastes time, as I use my phone for everything I want to keep my homework assingments on my phone too, so everything is organised and in one place and it'll be easy and quick to check my homework on my phone.
thanks

Synchronized calendars?

I'm looking for an application where my wife and I can synchronize our schedules on a Google calendar but with two different user accounts. For example she is working on a Saturday 7 am – 2 PM. She puts it into a calendar and then I will have it synced to my calendar is that even possible?
Never mind. I added her Gmail account to my phone and then I clicked sync calendar
Worked great

Can also just share calendar from the Google website. Can share with anyone and control write privileged without giving complete access.

Yes, what you've done is going too far and complete overkill. As stated above, just go to the Google Calendar Website, on your pc or Mac, and go to Settings and share your calendar with her. Then go into her Google account and have her share her calendar with you. It will then be visible in your calendar list on your phones to sync.
You are eating unnecessary resources on your phone by doing it the way you are now.

Actually it's not. I have only synced the calendar
There is another app Acalender that i like a little better personally and if your family is like mine Ourgroceries is a great grocery list app that can be synced. I thought it would be kinda dumb but it works really well. use it all the time.
