Whatsapp "power intensive" notification - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

Since we've been using our P6 we keep getting a notification that Whatsapp is currently a "power intensive" app. After clicking on the notification it takes me to the "Bkgd power-intensive apps" screen under the "power manager" menu where we can see Whatsapp at the top of the list with a red battery next to it, and "power intensive" under it. It's suggesting we close the app, so we do. Obviously Whatsapp needs to be running to receive messages so the service restarts. A bit later we get the notification again. If we disable Whatsapp from running in the background we don't receive any Whatsapp messages so it has to be left to run in the background. Does anyone know how to disable this notification, or has anyone else had this issue...!?

I've seen an ignore sign somewhere...

Yes I looked for 'ignore' but there wasn't one. I've seen 'ignore' on other notifications but not this one. Just waiting for it to pop up again, maybe take a screenshot.,,

What I did to stop the "power intensive" notification pupping every time is that; After entering >Power Manager >Background apps Manager > Just slide the "All" switch to the left to turn of all applications. Since then i have not receive the notification. I don't know if my apps have all stop working in the background but after a while i will confirm that.

SMS notification

Is there a way to disable the SMS/MMS icon that appears in my notifications? I believe it's the default one because I have uninstalled all third party applications.
Even when I click on it and read any new messages, it does not disappear unless I click "clear" in the notifications drop-down.

Go into your stock messaging app. Find settings by pressing menu! Scroll to received Notifications. disable it now.... There you go, the little message icon shouldnt appear.

lol.. thanks for the help, but I've disabled everything on the stock messaging app. I don't know what it is that keeps making the little message icon still appear.

[Q] Whatsapp on GN

Hey, I can't seem to find a way to make whatsapp work with notifications.
When I receive a message, it simply won't show in the notifications bar...
It's all enable at the configurations of the app...
Anyone?

Have you been into the whatsapp setting? There isn't one for the notification bar from what i can see but there is one for pop up, check that and see if it works
I have been using the app since the phone was launched without any issues
Mine work but disappear sometimes, and sometimes Whatsapp crashes when I open certain threads, until they are deleted

Notifications

Hi.
Have searched around a while for this now, but cant find a answer.
I have a stock HTC one m8, and i cannot seem to get notification on Instagram to work. I have tried facroty reset, cache delete, re-installing the instagram app and so on, but nothing is working. This is getting pretty annoying.
Anyone here who has experienced the same issue? Or better, know a way to fix this?
Thanks in advance.
There's a notification setting inside the Instagram app, and also have you tried to long press the app and drag it into the "info" spot, and make sure notifications are checked in the system. Other than that there's no reason it shouldn't show as long as you receive other notifications.

Facebook app notifications no longer clear

This started recently. Probably a recent Facebook app update, but is this happening to anyone else? No matter how many times I look at my notifications and tap on them, they never go away. So every time I get another notification it just adds to the total and the number resets. I'm on OOS 3.2.7 with EX Kernel. What's weird is I tried the same version of the Facebook app on 7.0-based AICP and had no such issue. I also tried clearing my Facebook app data a couple of times but that made no difference.

I'm not getting notifications in my notification bar. I have those turned off. This is notifications within the app. Should have specified that, sorry.
Go to Facebook on pc. Open notifications. Click on mark as read. Do it as far as it can scroll. That should clear one old unread notification.

Anyone having a problem with alerts not showing on the Max 3?

I'm not getting the red dot appearing on any apps.
So the texting app has (on all other handsets) shown a red dot in the corner when there's an unread text. That's not happening here?
I've moved from MIUI to Nova launcher and still the same? Nothing on the built in messaging app or any other texting app?
I am getting a sound alert on incoming texts and emails, but nothing else. So I have to go and look in both the email and text apps to see if anything new is there!
Only had the phone 2 days so could be missing something??
It's the global version running MIUI version 9.6.6.0. Its the 4/65 model.
Thanks for any help...
You have to do three things in the app info section of each app you want notifications for:
1) Hold the app (Nova Launcher allows this), click app info. Turn on Auto Start.
2) Then, go to battery optimization below it and click no restrictions.
3) Then, go to notifications in the same area, customize with led notification, vibrate etc.
4) If the above three still don't allow it to work, then you must also lock the app in recents (lower right menu button), hold the app and lock it.
