Double Dip like case - One (M7) Accessories

I found a seller on ebay which sells different color cases seem to be real or a very good clone
every thing fits perfect and even has a HTC original looking packaging.
New Tri-color Double Dip Genuine Hard Plastic Shell Case Cover For HTC ONE M7 $12.88

Is it just a hard plastic case, or is it rubberized at all?

It's plastic but has a rubberish feel

taken with my s3

Mine hasn't torn off yet

I ordered one to see what the fuss is all about.
Most likely a fake, sad thing is the material is probably less likely to scratch the phone than the OEM one!

Anyone notice scratches on their phone?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium

Nope not yet

I ordered the same grey black grey one. Its ok and it almost feels like the oem one. I have the original double dip from htc and the only reason I bought the one off ebay was for the grey top so the colors are even (the red top was throwing me off lol). Phone looks sexy and there are no issues for me during the last 3 months of use.

LOL, thinking and knowing are two different things. I have the OEM and it will scratch your phone, almost any form fitting case without a felt lining will. I also ordered the black and grey and red for the top and bottom lol.

I just ordered this case (a genuine one... )

New case... Bad news.

http://www.igonemobile.com/product|p|26714.html
Just ordered the case above last friday, the case got here about 15 mins ago. All I can say is that theres a reason its so cheap. The case does not even clip sealed on the top of the phone. The screen protector included (which scratches at the touch of a finger) barely stuck. Lots of bubble near the edges, and yes I consider my self good at screen cover installations. Im sorry to be the barer of bad news.
Hope this helps guys!

I tried the same one from ebay and the top did not snap for me as well. So stay away from this one.
Replacement comes tomorrow...so we'll see...but I think the rubber coating is too thick for the case to click.sigh

Recommend a Case?

Hi I'm just looking if someone can recommend a case.
I was looking @ this one
and I've used this one for awhile
I just don't want a case that is like slippery and falls out of my hand, like another silicone one I got once

do not buy a case which covers the power/volume buttons!
had a case which covered them.. used it 4 about 4-5 months n it damaged my hardware buttons!
both volume keys n power button don't work properly now
get the official HTC ones . i'm using the black silicone one. its super slim and doesn't mess up your phone like the other a/m cases especially the flip cases
I use this one:
http://www.b2ctelecom.nl/PST7023/pu-lederen-flip-hoesje-htc-one-v-zwart.html
Its an awesome cover!
I have this case: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008HPAX4S/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And I LOVE it! It does cover the buttons, however the rubber is thin in that area so it is not hard to press down (and won't damage your buttons) like an Otterbox will (those are super thick and you have to crush your buttons to press them).
Excellent rubber case, nice grip and not bulky better then any s-line TPU and other silicone. I've bought one ready http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Amzer..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item2c6da63beb

Otterbox defender now $35 at amazon.com bestbuy will pricematch

Agreed. Considered it today at Best Buy, but it was HUGE.
Went across the street to the Sprint store and found this for $29. Happy and very sleek.

You should check your phone for any scratches. That case is know for that.
To the OP,
Thanks for sharing. I'm going to pick up the commuter series for $25. Not as bulky.

Anyhow, in all my reading it seems the one with the stand is at fault (i.e. scratching the camera, etc). This one is too? News to me.

Hilarious.
Didn't see that exat thread I guess. I have 13 days to return it, so I am not worried one bit.
So, the Otterbox is the one to get? If not, can someone enlighten me as to what case is "scratch free" and perfect?? They all seem to suck (or are being dissected by dorks).

Ya I bought one of the HTC cases knowing it was an issue. Thought I could just be careful with it. Lasted one day. Couldn't stop thinking about it. All I could think about was my beautiful black one being scratched up everytime I moved. I took it back the next day and ordered a poetic atmosphere case.
On the subject of the otterbox, I used a commuter otterbox on my evo lte and was very pleased with it. I hate the bulky defender case but the commuter really doesn't add much to it. Just an fyi and sharing my personal opinion.

How did you "pop out" the built in protector? I thought it was glued?
I'm using a defender, but have ordered the Tuff as Nuts model. I think I might go ahead and get rid of the external protector, since dust gets under there.
I plan to go commando, or nearly that, depending on if a thin TPU case will work with the "nuts" model - they are really stiff when new. I had one a while back for a different phone - great protection.

Thanks for the tip. I just removed mine. I don't know what they were thinking with that piece of plastic. It only served to trap lint and dust between the plastic and the screen.

Yeah, I really liked it back on my HD2, but it does need to be sealed all around to be effective. The odd thing is that they got it right on the top, but not the bottom.
If u r gunna pop the screen protector out why not just go with the commuter. It's less bulky, just sayin.
Edit: maybe u have to have the belt clip?

Has anyone tried to install a different screen protector on it? I want to remove my built in screen protector for the same reason of getting dust under. I still have the Zagg screen protector I got free from best buy but I don't really like the feel of it and the onion peel of it. I was thinking on getting a spigen screen protector, I wonder if the Glas slim protector from spigen will work with the defender? Let me know if anyone have tried this combination.

Belkin Leather Style Pouch for HTC One

I want to know if any one has ordered this pouch and tried it out. I am not so fond of using back covers as I heard from people that it leaves scratches at the corners once you remove it. Is any one having that problem from back covers ? I like pouch case but there is no official pouch for htc one.

I'd be a little worried that the bumper only protects the sides, but won't protect the back of the phone since it's curved.

You can always put a scratch protector on the back. For example a zagg or skinomi full body kit. That is what I plan on doing if I end up getting a bumper.

These bumpers look similar to one I had for my Note 2. The clear plastic and colored portion tend to separate after installing and taking off a couple times. It's held together by some shady glue. But I can't vouch for these exact ones. Just a heads up.
Any news on the poetic ones?
