Battery Drain .. any advices - HTC One X

guys i have too much battery drain
Android System 20%
Android OS 10%
im on ARHD 31.2 Stock kernel and i installed it with all wipe types
and didnt activate the blinkfeed yet
any advices
cause i'v seen people says that sense 5 improved their battery life !

You don't understand what the stats are telling you. Firstly, the stats you cite are the percentage of battery USED, not USE. Besides, if you actually used your phone, you would see other factors recorded in higher proportion (such as Screen).
If you really believe you have drain, search for Best Battery Stats and install then carefully follow the advice in the thread dedicated to BBS. None of this is cutting edge stuff.

Apps like that close processes that are currently running before they are finished and then android starts them up again.
Then starts the closing restart cycle and it's bye bye battery.
My had advice would be to remove/disable apps you don't use.

Well the best option is to install a custom rom n a suitable kernel . tinykernel works best for me .

What apps are you running? Install Better Battery Stats from XDA. Look at alarms and wakelocks to figure out what is draining battery. You may also want to consider a new battery.
Screen brightness level?
WiFi on?
CPU governor?
Overclocked?
reception strength?
Running applications?
U said that u tried many ROMS had same problem,it should be battery problem

That is not showing a loss of 1% a minute. Google Now and location services, possibly GPS, are draining some battery; wifi may be as well. But it shows nowhere near the levels of drain you reported. Your battery may just need changing.

Kernels

Morning guys.
Just rooted and using omega rom. So far so good, no issues.
Was considering updating my stock kernel, was after some advice on which one? As a new user.
Cheers

We're lucky because all the custom kernels are really good for Note 2.
Personally I usually use either Perseus or RedPill, but Note2Core and NEAK are great too.
Best thing to do it back-up in recovery, download each kernel, and then use each one for a few days to see which one works best for you :good:

Cheers for the info pal.
I'm presuming (being new) I'd nandriod back up prior, and flash in the usual way?
Do the kernels have to be build number specific? Or do most generic versions work?

No probs
Yeah, Nandroid back-up via recovery first, then just flash like any other zip.
You do need to flash the kernel that corresponds to your phone model, yes. So if you have N7100 only flash N7100 kernels. If you have N7105 then only flash N7105 kernels. Should be obvious which is which in each thread though.

You can use them just how they come if you like, no harm in doing that.
If you've got some time to test the best settings for your cpu, you can play around with undervolting to CPU for slightly more battery savings, though I can't say whether or not you'll actually notice these savings in day to day use.

I used to dabble with this but I think it's now got to the point where the kernel devs do such a good job anyway that I don't feel the need to tinker anymore. For example, I get over 2.5 days from a single charge using Perseus, that's with light/moderate use and WiFi / mobile data always on.

[Q] Battery Issue, Never go below 100%

Alright, As the title says I'm having a battery issue. I just bought the phone used, unlocked it, Flashed CM 10.1, and ever since changing ROMs the battery hasn`t gone down below 100%. I've let the battery go flat, wipe Battery_stats.bin. Issue remains un resolved. I also tried to recalibrate using an app, still no improvement. Any ideas on how it can be fixed? Anyone out there having same/similar problems?
EDIT: Also, I`m rooted & have CWM installed.
let me get this straight
your battery is always full?
Try With Change Your Kernel. But Must Match with Recomendation ROM Kernel.

Actually, booting into recovery did nothing dude. I experience this problem just about everyday.
I think its the way the battery percentage is calculated. The battery is actually charged beyond 100%, but the phone will keep on showing 88 and move extremely ( or not move at all) slowly.
You just need to restart your phone once, and that'll bring up the battery count right up to the correct reading

[Q] WFS cyanogen-battery save-restrictions.

Hi all,
I'm new at xda and love to be involved with the devices. I searched something about my question but couldn't find anything that satisfy me. Thats why I made a post. If a made a mess, I already apologize for all.
I'm using Infrarom v0.3 on my Wildfire S and I'm very noob at android issues. So, could you please be clear?
my questions are:
1.What are the bugs of cyanogen 7.2? what makes cyanogen 7.2 better? or do you suggest me cyanogen 9 or higher?
2.What is the most battery-saver rom? cuz Infrarom is quite bad at battery performance.
3.Is there any restriction to get back in terms on kernel or something if I flash cyanogen or other roms?
King regards
Uncle

The only bug remaining in cyanogenmod 7 is the usb tethering. It drains battery faster than stock roms too but it is the best among cyanogenmod roms.

Thank you so much for the answer. it is so clear. I will try cyanogen mod 7. I appreciate if you give a link for best cyanogem mod 7. because there are too many and I lost myself among them
when it comes to restrictions, there was some limitations in iOS. For instance, if you update your iphone to 4.1 version, you can't downgrade it to 3.1 anymore. maybe in illegal ways but it was quite painful. thats what i meant there. I apologize for my awful wording

yes I did all. wipe,flash.etc.. But, I didn't like it. it wasn't faster than my old Infrarom. Only the visual things are good. Also, I flashed Gapps and it works but i couldn't download any apps. because it doesn't download anything. Just waiting waiting and waiting... no error or something...
whatever. I will try another roms. Because I have to solve my problems. I can't talk with someone because of my handset. Sound is too low. I can't hear anything when I go out. I have to use speaker on every call. Do you know anything that make my handset sound higher? not the speaker just handset.
One more, touch menu buttons are not working. I tought that it is realated with the rom. Now, I think it isn't. Because there is no setting about it. And I changed my rom, problem is not solved.

Yeah... Cm7 is quite old and the problem might be because of the gapps.
Does that handset problem exist in every Rom? If it is solved by switching roms, it is a software problem. If It's not solved, it is a hardware problem and it is advised to take your phone to the service.
Touch input is mainly caused by improper flash of gapps. Try wiping it and flash everything again
