I'll get it, if it has SVDO. Like having voice and data at the same time.

I'm still on the fence.
Assuming the Note 3 will have Sprint's Triband LTE on it, it's definitely on my radar along with the LG G2.
With the LG G2 having a 5.2 inch screen, it's more enticing to me than a humongous 5.7 inch screen of the Note 3.
Also, with TouchWiz on the Note 3, I'm leaning towards the G2.
However, the Note 3 is also more likely to get official CM support, just based on the Note 2's official status and the LG Optimus G not being official.
With official CM support, we get better AOSP kernels, so AOKP, SlimROMs, PA, and PAC-Man roms will be better.
My upgrade is in December, though. It gives me some time to think about it and hopefully see some reviews and other user impressions before choosing one over the other. And hopefully CM will announce official support for the G2, then it makes my life easier.

Me too. You getting the pink one freeza?

I was considering it. That creamy pink looks kind of neat lol. Nah I'll probably get a black one. Unless they've figured out how to not let the light bleed on the white version.
I may get a pink flip cover though. Awwww yeaaa!
As much as I'd love to keep SVDO, I don't think qualcomm will enable dual radios in their chipset anymore. :'(

Well I mean, there's SVLTE now...but Sprint is nowhere near being able to force their customers to all rely on good LTE coverage
But I doubt that the N3 will have SVDO, probably get bumped up to SVLTE

I'm tempted. Still debating whether to get a Note 3 or wait for the S5. I told myself that I'd never get a phone that big but everyone I know who has a Note 2 loves it.
Didn't like the faux leather back at first but it's starting to grow on me after watching a few hands-on videos. I still need to see and feel it in person though.

Moto X for me
Tomorrow....

i'm waiting to see what the HTC one maxx looks like if i don't like it Note 3 here i come. I have a upgrade that is burning my pocket

Definitely not me. Lol. I like my phone 5" and under..4.8 is nice, though I could hold a note easily.
Also having my nexus, I do like the nav buttons better akin to a nexus device. I know you can on custom ROMs, but nav and hardware buttons are just silly to me.

Jumping ship to the Galaxy Note 2?

I haven't had much luck in choosing phones. The best phone I've had has to be the HTC HD2 when i was with Tmobile as far as development goes! I guess that spoiled me. I like this phone but i don't love it. Slow development at first but it is picking up. I decided to skip the s3 and get the galaxy note 2. Although the S3 already has an official CM10 build
No offense to any devs.

I wasn't impressed with the specs at first...I feel like Samsung should set apart the Note and the S series....The Note looks like a beast so it should run like one...But I will be getting a Note 2 anyway..I'll sell my first Note
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
Any guarantee its coming to sprint... I would get the note 2 in a heartbeat if/when it comes to us

I'm very tempted, I think I will skip the SIII.

IM jumping on the note IM really digging it and yes it's coming to all carriers so sprint should have it, matter of fact I think the file system for the sprint version was dumped on xda by sextape.

Thinking about it! Dunno if I can handle the screen tho! Then again I thought the epic touch's screen was big when I first got it now its the perfect size!

I am very unsure on what I will be doing when my 2 year comes around. I will likely be switching off of sprint unless their speeds increase 10 fold in my area over the next 8 months. From there who knows what phone I will get.
Before this phone I had an HTC EVO that I really liked a lot. I am less than impressed with the Samsung radios so far, but overall this phone is absolutely amazing. I have had a decent amount of playing time with the GS3 and that is one helluva phone as well. If an awesome GS4 is out or a new shiny nexus device I'll likely grab that on ATT as they have nice 4G coverage in my area.
The note though.. It is just too big for me honestly. But I can definitely see how it will appeal to others. Just not my cup of tea.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
I'll be getting one...i can't wait to dump this pos phone (sorry to everyone that just loves the E4gt). With this many delays, wimax issues, weak modems, and unpolished roms put out by sammy, i think I'll jump as soon as it comes out, granted we have a lte network by then...

I think development is pretty good here. There are plenty of solid options for ics and jb. Regardless.. this has been an awesome phone. The best I have owned so far but I will definitely be on the note 2 pre order list as soon as there is one. It is too awesome... I couldn't wait for the gs3 but I am skipping it now.

5-inch screen?
Unless it's edge-to-edge, I don't want a phone that's any bigger/wider.
Samsung will lose my business.
Pretty sure the screen won't be bigger than it is now, Samsung isn't that stupid, that's why they have the Note series.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
I agree. 4.8 inches is perfect. If it were "edgeless" or "edge to edge" than yeah go ahead and bump that up while keeping the same size, but the current size is perfect for a phone boarding on phablet.
No reason to go any higher when someone can just buy a Galaxy Note. I can still unlock and use my phone with one hand for the most part. Yeah it's a bit difficult but it can be done!
It seems like they just released the S3

iphones are the creation of people with nowhere left to turn
I think this is what turned me away from HTC. it seemed like after the original evo they came out with a new phome every month. Instead of puttin out a solid device then taken time to ensure there next one was a true upgrade they just pumped out as many as possible

Has anybody seen the branding on the Verizon version? They actually put the Verizon logo on the home button and the logos on the back are huge. If sprint does this I won't get it, Verizon managed to make a great looking phone into crap. I really don't mind the back, but really on the home button?

Haven't seen it yet, I'll get it if there isn't any. Love that sprint is doing so well now, first to get jellybean and start rolling out 4G faster. Happy I stayed
I am in December. That's when I'm paying my ETF and switching to either ATT on contract(I actually might buy the phone outright from them) or t-mobile prepaid, where I'd still have to buy it outright. I'm just fed up with Sprint.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
sprint's been doing good with 4g rollout and 3g speeds in san antonio, so i may pick it up. 5.5" is huge though!! (that's not what she said)
Bigger screen with the same resolution as the S3, pass.
Bigger screen is nice in bed watching youtube and movies, but you could have a tablet instead, and keep a phone for calling and stuff.
Phone has nice specs but with S3 and a 7" tablet w/pen functions I don't need it. I can see how a device like this could really catch on in the business community though. Wish I could put it in the hands of all my field techs but the cost of data plans is still too high.
I want to see what the lower dpi screens about. Also probably won't get cm10 for note 2 and even if we do probably won't get the s-pen working. I might pass and keep the s3.

Not enough to drop big bucks when you can just upgrade when the s5 rolls around. The s3 is still a beast of a phone with plenty to offer, even more so now with multiwindow, so I would just stick with it. At least that is what I am going to do

Everything this guy said. I'm happy with my s3. Plus I just got into the rooting scene a month and half ago.
Yeah, I'll wait for the S5.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
I think it is worth upgrading, at least for me personally, since I had the s3 & my upgrade since Dec.1080HD 5" display, 13mp camera (for family pics), bigger stock battery, 4.2.2 out of the box & more. Besides, the google edition is around the corner so you can always grab that. Or the Note 3 when it comes out.
The point is, there's always something better. The important thing is for you to be happy with your choice.
There is a sticky for this discussion

If your problem is only with large screen then go for it! Because when I bought my S3, my first thought in mind after unboxing was "seriously, why did I even buy this huge phone" (saw S3 first time). Now I don't regret having large screen and I love it now. I'm sure you will get used with it also and start loving the 5" 1920x1080p screen.

My co-worker has it, so I have had a chance to play with it already. It's not much bigger than the E4GT, but I want a phone where I can reach across with my thumb without having my palm activating stuffs on the edge of the screen.
The other reason is the E4GT just start working well enough after all these years, so I'll wait for more stable ROMs first
