Just thought I'd share in case anyone else needed some ideas. Stand is made from 3/8 and 1/8 hobby plywood. Noki DT-900 sits in it's holder and has access to the Nexus 7 without any gaps. Should work with a case as well, but will sit on top of the bottom stop.

I'm from the UK. I'm looking a metal style case like those available for the ipod touch. Something that will clasp together to cover the front and back.
The ipod ones are a type of steel/metal.

I have the same one and it is perfect with my Note, Tab 2 7.0, and N7 as well. Very easy to carry around, too.
