[Q] Sudden Odin problem - Galaxy S 4 Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok so i decided to flash another stock firmware via Odin but every time i click start, it gets stuck on "get pit for mapping..."
The box isn't even lighting up yellow. I tried using another OS and installed kies to no avail. I've even tried to flash cwm through Odin and still the same.
I tried different usb cables/slots.
Any suggestions?

Is your router D-Link? S4s have problems with these routers. Try to flash a new firmware for your router.

No it's a little black talktalk router. There's no fw update for it . I've tries changing the channel to auto down to 10,9,8 then left it there as not seen any change.
If it is due to my router then im sure I can pit up with it u guess.

Ye I got that too, ask them not me xD

I've got the same problem. On my 2.3.6 GB and 4.0 ICS devices the scroll bar is there (using the same YouTube app version as in the S4 mini).
Seems to be some kind of bug I suppose. Better e-mail the app developers.

Your right. Went on play store and people who own the a4 mini are complaining about it too.
Can't find the option to email the dev

I just tried it on CM10.1.3 and the scroll bar there working without any problems, no changes in the app version. It must be interferring with something from the TouchWiz rom.

New youtube update now it's back to normal

1st post updated to a new question...

You should start a new thread for a new question so that users who may be experiencing the same issue can see the solution for it.
As for your new problem, have you tried installing the latest Samsung USB Drivers? (Remember to uninstall the old ones using tools like USBdeview)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I should really.
Its ok. I forgot to update my post. All I needed was an official samsung usb cable and everything was fine.

Actually device memory is too low and despite having 16 GB external SD card, i cant install apps from Google Play Store, it says not enough space avaiable. I have selected SD card as Default Write Disk but it is not helping. I want to allocate 4-5 GB from my external SD card to applications so that i dont have to face memory issue while installing heavy applications. Also, the processor is 1 GB and not supporing Heavy games, can i speed up the processor with rooting and how?

Hi I'm thinking this info that phone provides is fake. Probably is some MTK device, which was named as I9500 for the app compatibility. Try if MTK Droid Tools finds the phone

[Q] Some questions about my Note 10.1 (2014)

Hi! So, I bought this tablet a couple of weeks ago from one of the biggest electronics sellers in my country (SCAN Malta), and I haven't been able to update to the latest firmware (4.4 Kitkat, currently I'm on 4.3 JB). I tried to do this both OTA and through Kies, however I cannot seem to find information anywhere if there are some specific region models who have not received this update yet.
My tablet is an SM-P605 LTE edition (16gb) Wifi. My second question concerns the fact that I cannot seem to record videos at 60fps I am sure that I didn't get a counterfeit, but is there a way to check the genuinity of my purchase?
Hi there
What is the exact rom that it is currently on? What rom have you downloaded and tried to flash? You need to specify further details.

Thanks for the reply. I did not download any roms, I am trying to update normally without rooting and it's telling me that the latest updates/firmware has already been installed. As far as I'm aware kitkat is already out for this device through normal firmware updates.
My baseband version is P605xxubmj4

I can't get 60FPS either even after the KK update. Either it's not enabled in the ROM or it just doesn't exist on the P605.
If it's running 4.3 and you are awaiting 4.4.2 then you just have to wait until the rom is released in your country of residence. KK has not yet been released globally, peple such as myself have flashed the rom to have the latest OS.

Just bought this thing hoping I could put a custom rom on it came with 442 and I wish it was an older firmware so I can use a custom recovery for a new rom. Pissed...I would be happy with 4.3 custom rom...

[Q] KitKat update? (Australia)

Hi all, would anyone happen to know the eta on the kitkat update for the WiFi version of the galaxy note 8 in Australia? Mine is unbranded and purchased from Harvey Norman.
Did you check SamMobile? - I know the 5120 came out a few weeks ago.

Australia is usually left behind, and sometime wont ever see an update. Just Flash another regions firmware onto your device its simple, easy and painless.
I usually use the UK version:
http://samsung-updates.com/region/?region=BTU
I have flashed mine with Cyanogenmod , its now running 4.4.4 love it. I recommend if you going to upgrade to CyanogenMod is to install CWM, just incase something goes wrong.
Cyanogenmod: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=n5110
CWM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860
But i have also flashed prior to using CyanogenMod - the UK Version Firmware for Note 8 - did the Kitkat, did it to my Note 8 and also Samsung S4.
Simple really, download Odin flash it with the new firmware

SGS4M from 4.2.2 to 4.4.2

Hello guys,
so recently if you haven't heard Pokemon Go was released and of course as a huge fan I want to play it. But it requires 4.3 or higher. So i want to upgrade my 4.2.2 to 4.4.2. I went to wikipedia to see if it has an official upgrade and it says it has but not in all regions,(The S4 mini got the android 4.4.2 'KitKat' update on June 2014 (though not in all regions), bringing some minor UI changes as seen on the Galaxy S4 and S4 Active.) and I tried from my phone to search for an update but it says there is not one so I guess I'm not from those regions . So is there a way to manually upgrade to 4.4.2 ? The model number is GT-19195.
Thank you.
Region is not important. You can download and flash official firmwares in sammobile.
Be sure that you have backup before flashing firmware. Because you can lost your data

I recommend to not update!
4.4.2 is the worst update ever for s4 mini
1.Terrible battery
2.Bad performance

After Root the Internal Storage went from 256gb to 16gb

Hey guys!
Can someone help me please ?
After a LOT of work I finally rooted my Note 10+ (N975F/DS), but when I went to see the internal storage of my cell phone, it said that the maximum was 16gb, and my cellphone has 256gb.
Does anyone have any idea what could be happening and how to fix it?
I followed this tutorial:

Had kind of the same problem on a different device which showed no internal storage at all.
After flashing LOS a 2nd or 3rd time all was ok.
Hope that helps.
I have exactly the same problem from yesterday on the same device. I'm fighting it. And you managed to solve this 16Gb problem after rooting?
