K860/i CM10.1 - Linaro - beta 1 -updated 19.10.'13 - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Versioning explained:
>>>>>>>>>|0.92*|>>>> alpha>>>>>>beta>>>>RC>>>>1.0>>>>>
*0.92 will be removed as an option once RC comes out
This ROM is a spin-off from Mr. Linscue's and CyanogenMod sources.
What makes it different is that it is built with Linaro toolchain, current 4.7., instead of Google supplied one.
It's a product of my curiosity, Mr. Linkscue's extensive patience with helping me to understand the whole picture and his work so far on our devices. This wouldn't be possible without him.
To be able to build with Linaro toolchain there is a lot of CM source editing and git cherry-picking to make code fit for Linaro's GCC so the final ROM can actually be compiled. Thanks to Open Source, Android, internet and XDA-devs, I have been able to make it real by collecting the info and conveying it to this ROM.
I have to remind you, this is my personal build, it was never intended to be released to the wide public, I'm not a programmer/coder and there is no warranty.
Few notes:
1
The build: This is a first functional build through Linaro for this phone. It's compiled with -O3 flag, so /system (ROM) side is 90% optimized. I' m continuing to find proper code snippets that will further improve the build.
2
Battery life. Kernel used is prebuilt Lenovo, therefore battery life should be similar to official ROM, bar the specific LenovoPower settings, however if you are installing CM you are expected to know how to manage your phone. Without Lenovo's updated kernel sources, further optimizations are not possible, either for performance or extending battery life. If you are experiencing poor battery life, there are two things, 1. You have just I nstalled the ROM, give it a few days for system to settle in. There are few things going on during first day or two that might deteriorate your battery life 2. You have an app installed that is keeping your phone awake, preventing it to go to deep sleep. You can install BetterBatteryStats from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 and find the offending app.
3
If you like it, use it. We are fixing general bugs as we go, and we know what those are. You may report them here but don't expect them to be fixed. Any app addition request or AOKP/MIUI/whatever port will not be entertained. As I said in the beginning, this is my personal build and I'm just sharing it with you.
4
Why name it SENNA: Ayrton Senna: “And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high. This rom was made possible thanks to:

Sharing is caring, so if you want to repost this ROM to other places, I don't care but I do ask you kindly to refer to http://bbs.lephone.cc/k860/t570716/
Since 99% of the work is by Mr. Linkscue, take your time and drop by his thread: http://bbs.lephone.cc/k860/t553805/1/ and give him some kudos.
That's all.
Two releases:
SENNA 0.92
Latest CM source
Reverted the codecs to official, now video is ok
Updated busybox binary
Special thanks to linkscue on his continued support
SENNA beta 1
Kernel is built from Lenovo old source and adapted for JB
Both kernel and ROM are built with Linaro at O3 optimization level
Samsung's gralloc, hwconverter, fimg and kernel mali drivers, readjusted memory use, replaced ion libs.
Bloetooth works.
Disable HW overlays to have video working in landscape mode
(Current result on Antutu is 21605) (I have to note here that I have noticed performance deterioration, the number you get varies and drops on subsequent tests)

Flash it as you would do with the ROM and then go to Settings/Advanced/K860(i) Install gms. Reboot. All should be there. In the same menu you are also able to lock the MAC address so it doesn't change on reboot.

I'm sorry, you are talking about transparent taskbar? That iis as much as I could understand from the pics you posted.
To put it bluntly, what is going on now is trying to build kernel from source to match 4.2.2 and then cleaning up of proprietary files. Any UI polishing/additions I might consider at later date. So far, it seems to be a very far date But hey, it is functioning so far and sorry, but no..

Phone board/bootloader recognizes several operating modes like off charge, on, off, test etc. Mr. Scue identified them and it is working, however there is a problem that when you boot the phone after charging it in off mode, screen will turn white around the edges sometimes. For safety of your devices this part of functionality is not included yet.
I'm not familiar with the USSD problem yet. Will have a look into it, but if it wasn't working in official release, it could take time to make it working here.

Ok, this questions now are going out of topic but let's chase this rabbit down the hole.
I am not familiar with the workings of youtube app (I assume you have successfully installed Play store and had it installed from there) so I am not sure what video/audio codecs it uses.
I can tell you right now one thing, related to video playback and Samsung's OMX codecs (the ****ty opensource ones) hw accel. video on this ROM is currently broken. I will soon reissue the ROM with files from official ROM to have that part working again, until I sort out what gets broken on OSS ones.
Currently I'm hands deep in kernel, I managed to transplant updated mali drivers into the old source to make it run on 4.2.2 and did some ugly hack job on HAL layer to have CM working, I have it at system stable level now. I'm tired and sorry for not being of much help, please google yourself and see what exactly are youtube app dependencies to make the videos run. If it uses on board hw codecs, I already told you what is the problem.
EDIT: try to disable GPU rendering for a test, in Developer options. just to see.

I flash several times this rom and always the same 2 problems ! Wifi doesnt work ! Stays there it said "turning wifi on..." and the 2nd camera program ( i dont remember the name ) always force close !!! Thanks
Sent from my K860 using xda app-developers app

what a great rom !! i hope you can fix the youtube problem and others minor problem soon!! :good:

Yup tried with GPU rendering disabled, HW accel enabled disabled.. Not just with youtube, videos don't work on many video content apps like imdb etc..

Ringtones dont stick on reboot
if your having problems with ringtones sticking on reboot, seems to be especially a problem for custom ringtones, create a new soundset with the ringtone in and that will sort it
Clock / Weather App only showing country and not current location
Go to Settings>Apps>All and try clearing data for Clock Widget, Google Maps, Weather, Sync provider and Weather Provider.
Finally, refresh the widget and hopefully that will solve your problem.
Google Play Download fix 1
This is for download problem, caused by drmserver not running
Open Terminal Emulator
su
/system/bin/drmserver&
This is a Temp fix. you have to do it every time you boot.
thanks to antdking for this fix
Google Play Download fix 2
1.Go Settings->Aplication->All Aplications
2.Now search Google play Store.apk and tap on them
3.Tap on "Froce close" boton, then tap on "Delete Dates" boton
4.Now install this gplay aplication who i uploaded : http://www.fileshare.ro/79426910043 (Copy to SD CARD,install it)
5.Now open Google play and accept the google licence.
thanks to r0bocop for this fix.
Wi-Fi Teather Doesnt Work
This is a work around to get the function working.
Downloaded wifi tether app from the market, and check
Wi-Fi Sleep Policy
Seems to be a bug where the Wi-Fi sleep policy settings are reversed. Selecting "Never" sets you to "Always", selecting "Always" sets you to "Never". No fix for this but something to be aware of.
Can see Gallery pics but still cant set wallpapers
1) go into gallery
2) long press the pic you want for the back ground and set it to wallpaper
Thanks to stroobach for this.
3) If that doesnt help try disabling force GPU Rendering (if you enable this )
General SD card problems
If your getting general slow SD card, issues with content on there being read, backup the importent stuff like photos etc and format SD card, seems the old android files on SD card may be messing things up
If this didnt help and your still having prolems with slow SD card speeds download sd booster from the market and set the cache to 2000+
Wallpaper FC loop
It happens when you place a 3rd party app on the bottom dock. The Wallpaper that force closing is the lock screen, if you change to the weather lockscreen that will start FCing as well.
My phone isnt booting after first flashing the new ROM
First boot does take bloody ages, if you get to like 20/30 mins pull the battery and it will boot straight away, seems to be getting stuck for some people. for most when it works its 5/10 mins for first boot..
How to force Hardware Acceleration
1) Settings
2) Developer option
3) Tick force GPU rendering
After going into power saving for low battery my buttons dont vibrate!
seems sometimes u have to re-enable this after the power save turns it off, annoying i know, its located in the strangest place:
1) Settings
2) Sound settings
3) Vibrate feedback - tick it!
Reduce Lag - Force CPU1 Online
1) Install system tuner from marker
2) open system tuner
3) tweaks - cpu - boot settings - active tweaks - force all cpus online - on boot completed
4) now reboot and enjoy the faster experience
This will cause more of a battery drain, might not be a big drain though.
Some apps dont work
If your problem is some apps , try disabling force GPU acceleration, that should fix it.
Getting FC in Security Settings
If you have an exchange account that requires a Device Admin and use a pin it seems once removed, the security settings worked without a problem. Its a workaround at least.
HOW TO SEND BUG REPORTS
Hold down VOL_DOWN + MENU keys for 2 seconds, release when vibrated.
Wait 20-30 seconds, it will vibrate again.

DON'T TRY TO FORMAT any unformated external USB drive/key with OTG cable, it could format internal storage instead !!!

Introduction
Here is my port of JB AOSP 4.3 for our Xperia S. This is a work in progress, it's currently missing few of the patches I used in 4.2.X and few things are completely untested.
Installation and downloads
You need unlocked bootloader and a working recovery.
Download installation zip from here, mirror thanks to @androidlover007 (I know, uploaded.net is not the fastest of the earth, multipload mirrors coming soon. I'm not against posting any other mirror).
Copy it to internal storage
Wipe Data/Cache
Install gapps for 4.3. Currently, we don't have "official" gapps from CM team, I used PA ones with good success.
Reboot and let the rom settle down a bit
Important: Current release has a recovery with broken offline charging, you should flash a fixed one after installing the rom to avoid any trouble. Check this post.
Kernel source code is here (branch jb-4.2-experimental).
Note: this rom flashes its own kernel that comes with TWRP recovery and last version of Boot Manager. Just use volume up/down to navigate boot manager menu and power to select if you want to go to TWRP. Don't play with Boot Manager options if you don't know what you're doing.

FAQ
Can I flash any kernel with it ?
No. This rom is using Nexus 4 proprietaries and requires matching video drivers. You must use embedded kernel.
Something is not working, crashed, whatever, how can I help ?
Please provide logs! Description is not enough, I need at least logcat and ideally dmesg. If phone reboots, go to recovery, get the /proc/last_kmsg file and provide it to me.
Dev options are missing ?
No, they're just hidden, it's now the default behavior in 4.2.x. To enable it, go to settings / about and tap multiple times on build number, menu will be enabled and stick after reboot.
* reserved, now you can go on *
Great And Fast Work.

Is there need to report bugs or it is too early for such thing?
Anyhow, I'm downloading right now, will report back with observations.
Log:
- Booting seems fine, some glitches but nothing to worry about...
- Font is kinda different, I like it, very much. It is even more close to Helvetica and for me it is very nice typeface porn
- Touch vibration is kinda shorter, more direct but weaker.
- Developer tools are updated with very nice features, everything mentioned at Google I/O 2013.
- Animations are smoother. It's not that "new ROM" smoothness, transitions between screens appear like constant 60fps, without that lag that sometimes occurs regardless on hardware.
- There are some differences in first time configuration, nothing radical but still...
- Google Play Store wont open, close it and relaunch and then it will show TOS. It lags a bit.
- Is it me or DPI is kinda different? Everything seems to be bigger. Icons in drawer, Google play apps... SystemUI feels kinda same. EDIT: 320dpi.
- AOSP keyboard icon is different. RAM usage is same, no lower usage or anything special. Available RAM - 622 MB.
- Touch responsivness seems a bit better.
- Texdroider DPI (DPI changer) doesn't work. On 4.2.2 it would work with OpenSEMC, but it's not the case on 4.3.
SuperSU does not work (no su binaries), this ROM is unrooted. To root it again do the following:
Download SuperSU 1.51 from here
Move it to your root folder on your phone
Turn your phone off, boot it into recovery
flash that zip you copied to your root folder "SuperSU 1.51"
Reboot to system.

Please do not make mirrors! If you need one, please post a reply here, and we'll make it happen. Thanks.
If you apply Interactive in Synapse, ALWAYS enable it for both clusters. Enabling it for only one will cause funny effects, perhaps even a solid chaos, batterydrain and other unpleasant things. You've been warned.

"The leak" - There are more leaks than either of us can count, some little ones here and there, and all of them hidden. Unlikely that there ever will come a time that there are no leaks at all
But I guess that you are reffering to the major leak with 5.0? That is in the Rom and framework afaik, and thus not my department to fix. I'm not even sure if 5.1 has the proper fix merged to be honest :/
Flashed on top of Alliance v3, a T-mobile based ROM. Everything is super smooth, call audio is fine, GPS test can't see any satellites. Will try some more stuff to see if I can get it to work and then report back.
EDIT:
Flashed the GPS fix from mythos in the international thread.
That post is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=60932260
Just flashed and rebooted, didn't even wipe cache / dalvik. Worked like a charm!

My profile pic, isn't it? Usually there are votings held in the english MIUI forum to decide which phone will (first) get an official port. By the amount of development and users on XDA, I'd put my bets rather on the edge-less S6. But since we can run their Roms too that should not be too big of a problem.
Then again the official 3rd party MIUI not always is a shining light at the horizon. I never liked it. If there are bugs, they won't always get fixed, very frustrating, but understandable - MiPhones do have priority. As to unofficial porting.. I have literally no idea, but it would be nice to see some CM12.1 and MIUI over here, altough I somehow doubt the latter..

thx for the kernel, @mythos234 . smooth as butter.
only one thing i've noticed, but it's not isolated to just your kernel. i've had this issue periodically in the past on nexus devices using aosp roms. it always came back to an issue in the kernel... not the rom. this issue is also present in another kernel in the forums for the s6 edge.
the issue is with google play movies not working. the app will open and you can select a movie, but a few seconds after hitting the play button there is a black screen and then it errors out. it doesn't matter if you are streaming the movie or if it's a downloaded one. black screen and then an error.
i've attached a log of the errors.
oh... i'm running simplrom btw.
thx, brosef.

Did Synapse boot up correctly or did it say something like "Synapse boot cancelled" in the form of a standard toast message?
it does at first, but then it seems to get SU permission, and appears to load correctly...

Anyway, I'm downloading your ROM right now, review coming soon. Man, this phone is really lacking in AOSP based ROM that's works good, I'm hoping this is IT. Awesome work making this first ROM :good: !
EDIT: If I may suggest please don't include Gapps, that makes the ROM download size bigger, and usually xda regular already have their favorite gapps flashable zip lying around in their room... no big deal though.
EDIT2: That "everything" and "no bug" is pretty daring , we'll see...

Awaiting user review. One tester is not enough (talking about myself).
Reply to Edit 1) Understood. They were included in source. Not included by me.
Reply to Edit 2) At least I couldn't find any. Or maybe I just didn't test enough. Review will always have place on this thread. And yup, for the first ROM, those are daring words... Sounds good to read, hehe.
Btw, this is not my first port, though. I have worked on AICP 11, CM14.1, and LINEAGEOS too...
This is just the beginning :fingers-crossed:
Edit : Tron and daredevil kernels available.
Edit 2 : Devil IMG also uploaded

So far so good. Haben't used much but I didnot notice any bugs so far. If I encounter any bug I will let you know. I didnot face that youtube bug someone mentioned on fb. Even 60fps videos are playing smoothly. However battery backup seems to be average. Can you recommend something for background app management?

Use greenify and activate it in Xposed. Then select every so that you want to be killed until you start it manually.
Xposed is too good. Waiting for it on nougat.
However, can you post a screenshot on FB on that comment?
Also, try using Android-nify with latest build. I used build 801. It should work Damn awesome and fluid
As far as battery is concerned, I have uploaded both daredevil and Tron images. They both seem to work better than devil. Try using both and give a review please.

Will try daredevil kernel first.(It always had touch issues)
I always use Amplify , Greenify , Powernap , Bootmanager. Android-nify conflicts with Gravitybox QSettings tiles , other than that it works well.

Yes, some qs tiles from GB are missing. Try adding all tiles GB tiles first. Then remove all the ones which are missing. For me, if I enable "inject qs tiles from GB" option in Android-nify, then some tiles get detected (after rebooting).
Just flashed daredevil kernel.. I have to rush to college now. Will see how's the battery backup. Now battery's at 60%.

Listen. Only download this ROM if you have a device named "Lenovo A7000-a" and has code name "aio_row".
It won't work on "Lenovo A7000 Turbo". For that, you can go to needrom to get the original swift_aosp for k3note and turbo phones.

You did? Awesome. Really hoping for CM14 (LineageOS when it's up).. but since this phone doesn't have official Nougat then I have no idea whether it's easy or even possible :fingers-crossed:
Anyway, there's things I've noticed:
- During setup wizard, the screen where I need to connect to wifi is not skip-able (the skip button is grayed out, I can't continue without connecting to wifi)
- Haven't faced youtube bug, which is great!
- However there are some things I don't like, for instance the network activity indicator (those little triangles on wifi icon), they make the icon unable to turn dark when connection is active. Also another one, in ID, the download in Turbo Download is misspelled as "Donwload", oh the typo..
- No proximity sensor accidental wake-up prevention. Yes there's GravityBox but it messed up with some status bar/notification shade setting, and I still think it's overkill for a simple feature IMHO.
- Half a second lag when opening overflow menu (it's these three vertical little dots on various apps, for example when searching for apps in Play Store, in Messaging app, etc.)
- My memory is a bit hazy but I think offline charging screen is also messed up
(Now that I think about it, these problem also I experienced in Andromium and DareAOSP ROM, possibly you're sharing the same base?)
Will try the next build, cheers.

Yes. I ported cm14.1 and lineagos, and both booted up (ask other devs on out forum, they know). And you'll be really happy to know that both of these have got everything totally not working ...
Yup. That's is not a good news. That statement was sarcastic. Anyways, moving to your analysis.
1) I can easily skip wifi connection. Problem from your side?
2) Thanks for informing about YouTube.
3) Can't do anything about the wifi icon. Devs and themers out there, you can help. I think system UI needs to be edited for that.
4) Well, the original AOSP didn't have any intention to use dt2w or similar gestures. So, AOSP doesn't include the code to check for proximity. Now, since the choice of kernel is your own, this question becomes subjective. It is kernel-dependent. Kernel doesn't check for sensor, I can't do anything about it.
Also, GB makes things perfect for me without errors. Yours is a weird case with notification shade.
And yes, it is a really stupid bug which needs Xposed to be fixed...
5) That looks like it lags, but what happens is that the animation plays for only starting part and ending part. For the rest of transition, animation gets stuck. So it looks like it lags. However, if the animation worked completely, then also it would take the same time to open.
6) I need you to test and confirm. It is weird because I had already included the fix from source.
No, the Roms don't share the base, but they are indirectly based on pure AOSP. Just tweaked and modified for our devices
Edit : check out 3rd op.

Guys, the stability enhancement patch is already under development...
Meanwhile, if anyone amongst you thinks that I have answered their questions, or provided indirect support, then please consider donating to me. It can be any amount you find suitable.
My only donation medium is Paytm, since I don't have permission to use a credit card yet, because I am a student. If I think that porting is of any use to me, then maybe I can continue it. But if I feel the opposite, then I'm afraid, I might have to forget XDA and close all development.
Maybe, even the stability patch will come soon if I pay more time to it.
Here is my Paytm QR code... I hope I'm pretty clear and logical. PM me if you donate.
Also, news for users who donate to me :
Donating users WILL get benefit of donation too.
All the donating users shall receive the patch and future development news much earlier than the users who don't donate. This is totally fair, since no one is getting pushed for it. TOTALLY User's choice.

1) Probably it is? What I know is that I keep mobile data disabled, and when it ask for wifi I can't skip it. Well I have wifi so I just connect in then move on, just thought it is weird. Will test again in next build, clean flash all the way.
3) I see.. I don't think AOSP has that network indicator, neither does CM and its derivative. No white wallpaper for me then for a while. But yeah since you want to make it close to AOSP, there's no need for wake up prevention check I guess. I'll try to learn how to cherrypick feature form GB.
4) I didn't installed GravityBox, only assumed, since in CM, for instance status bar can be edited from settings, or from GravityBox, also button, also battery icon, it's a mess, because they override each other.
5) But none of CM and RR has that lag
6) Probably my memory is hazy after all
PS: What about the misspell of "download" to "donwload"???

Introduction
This is Unlegacy-Android kernel with some extra features that I added/enabled for personal use and decided to share in case someone else like them too.
I've done all I wanted by this moment so probably I am not going to continuously develop and improve this kernel if there will not be such necessity.
If somebody wishes to co-work or continue, I am all for it. Sources are open.

Features
Any bugs/features are the same as on Unlegacy-Android stock kernel except those listed here.
Color control
Allows to adjust display colors (really?).
You need to use third party app like "Trickster MOD" (Requires root) to edit it.
Touch wake and Proximity wake
Old cool feature reworked and improved by me.
Allows to wake device by touching screen and/or proximity sensor.
It's implemented with interrupts and no one wakelocks at all, that means:
No lags. It will always work and will be as responsive as if you pressed power button instead.
(If it still got lag than you would got the same lag if pressed power button at that moment instead.)
Power consumption as minimal as possible. It doesn't keeps device awaken like apps from market, so it can go in deep sleep and not consume power.
The only power is needed is to power the touch screen and/or proximity. It still consumes power but that is neligible.
See proof screenshot below.
You may say that 1.2% per hour is a lot but take in mind that I have 4 years old battery that doesn't work long any longer.
It has no timeouts. Why need them if power consumption is so low?
I've always hated apps from market that works while you play with them and don't in an hour.
But they at least had reason of big power consumption due keeping device awaken.
How to enable and setup:
Again you need to use third party app like "Trickster MOD" (Requires root) to activate and edit it settings.
The property "Delay" sets mode, not delay (I used settings from old version).
Touch - wake device by touching screen
Proximity - wake device by proximity sensor
LongTouch - addition to Touch. If long press screen than device will sleep again after finger released.
Example: Touch and hold, device will wake up you will see what you want (e.g. time), release, device fall asleep again.
1 = Touch
2 = Proximity
3 = Touch and Proximity
5 = Touch and LongTouch
7 = Touch and LongTouch and Proximity
Manually setting from terminal
enabling
Code:
echo 1 > /sys/devices/virtual/misc/touchwake/enabled
setting mode. multiply desired mod on 1000. e.g. 7 = 7000
Code:
echo 7000 > /sys/devices/virtual/misc/touchwake/delay

Prepare your current zimage or boot.img backup for case this kernell will not boot
Boot in bootloader manually or by adb command
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
Flash downloaded zimage with fastboot. Replace zimage-file with path to downloaded zimage.
Code:
fastboot flash zimage zimage-file
Reboot
Code:
fastboot reboot
Sorry for not providing flashable in recovery zip. I had some problems with it.

Thanks for your reply @Voron.exe
I build VoronK touch-wake from source but it still not boot on 7.1.1. so I applied your commits on the aosp-7.1 branch of UA tuna kernel and resulting kernel boots fine.
Let's me test how touchwake work (tomorrow).
thanks

Flashed the right version, and all is ok!
thanks!

None of them, you need to rebuild a permissive kernel to be able to boot 7.1.1. ATM all nougat builds for tuna from unlegacy site bootloops due to some selinux denials.
Plus, to successfully build a tuna kernel from 7.1 ua branch you need to revert these two commits, which borked kernel build:
http://gerrit.unlegacy-android.org/1151
http://gerrit.unlegacy-android.org/1153
Hope it helps.

Oh..
I've spent a day and finally got working version for aosp_7.1_tuna_2016-10-21.zip that I published.
For 7.1.1. no luck. You said that have successfully booted by own build?
I can add your version here if you don't mind, cause I get tired of these rebuilds and don't want to spent more time on version that I am not going to use.

No problem, PM me a way to sent it... I've fresh built touch-wake-7.1 branch, works on today UA build.
Just a bug report: during a phone call proximity sensor is active and if you have enabled "power button end call" in Accessibility menu it hangs call. Thus even if you have enabled only touch or touch and long touch....

It's working flawlessly in ua_tuna-ota-20170116 (aosp-6.0) build, but I haven't tried phone calls. Could you consider to implement, if it's not to difficult, double tap to wake instead of only one tap?
oh my god...new kernel for old Gnex, it is excellent!!!:highfive:

I've already done workaround for phone calls and some more fixes but not yet published.
As for double tab I will see what can I do. Wait a bit for new versions soon, current is a bit buggy.
UPDATE THOUGHTS:
I am currently thinking on implementing all this in kernel module instead of rebuilding kernel.
The PGM/TouchControl guy did the same, sadly he didn't open sources and abandoned development for few income.
If I'll succeed than probably I'll turn this project into an app.
Okay. I've done some work and have some success with modules.
I am planing to make and app that will allow to add this features (touch wake and color control at least) to any tuna kernel and rom and possible in future to other devices too.
The app will (obviously)require root and will be shared for free without ads/trial/limitations but with optional donate.
Does anybody interested in such app? Is it worth to continue?
Cause I've reached all features I wanted and there will be no sense to continue develop if no one interested in results.
Please tell me what you think!

As I understand AnyKernel2 is a script for flashing a kernel into ROM with any ramdisk (Am I wrong?).
If so I can't see any benefits of using it, cause there are much bigger ROM/Kernel incompatibility issues than just a ram disk.
What I do (and almost done) done now is a kernel modules that can be loaded in any kernel (almost) so I can no more care about building own kernel for each ROM version.
Instead I will care about compatibility with different kernels. On the other side users will be free to use kernels which they like.

Thank you too! Your posts make's me to continue developing, although it's not easy, cause I have to study also.
I wonder how many Galaxy Nexus devices still in use?
I fill like there about 100 in the world and I am one of them!
Hope that isn't true =D
You can use AnyKernel2 to flash over any ramdisk as well as any zImage if you want, check out my GN Synapse Injector zip. So if you want to add modules, etc. to any kernel/ROM AK2 should be much easier than an app I would think!
I cannot comment on technical issues, but I do think color control is mandatory in a ROM. And in any computer system, in fact.

One big release of CM13 has 9000 downloads, and a big release of UA 7.1 has 10,000 downloads. Maybe half or less of all current users would ever download these. Personally I have not downloaded either. So I think your feeling is not true. There are more than 100 Galaxy Nexus users.

With the app it's not hard too. It's like "insmod mymodule.ko". Only needs a root.
App can download anybody and no need to deal with recovery and manual flashing.
Anyway app will needed to control module settings. I think it's more user friendly..
