Fosmon TPU Case, flat matte back - Nexus 7 (2013) Accessories

Been using a cheap S-line case from eBay but I don't like the mix of matte and gloss back and the grip ridges. Didn't care much for the cruzerlite cases because I wanted a full matte back (akin to Diztronic cases) and the price was a little offsetting. Shopped around on eBay and found this one and it looks nice. glossy edges (eh) but the back is full matte which I appreciate. I'll have some more pics up once I get the case hopefully by the end of the week.

For $5, how can you lose?

Thanks for the heads up, definitely let us know how it is when you get it. The cruzerlite sline case is junk so I'm looking for a good cheap TPU case again.

Just ordered one off Amazon as well. Thanks for posting this!

Came in a lot faster than I thought, first impressions - WOW!!! For $4.95, this is hella good.
The fit is very tight and snug; the flat matte on the back mimics the soft touch of the naked n7, if you've used any diztronic case before that's how it pretty much feels. Cutouts are accurate and buttons are very easy to press, the glossy edges help with the grip. The case also is thin enough, overall the best TPU case I've seen and tried, this will be my primary case here on out. Also first phone/tablet accessory I've bought that comes in a paper bag haha.

Thanks for the review. Finally a case that doesn't have some sort of design on the back and doesn't look all cheap and glossy. Wish they made a white one but the black one in your pics looks pretty good.

Good looking out on this case. I couldn't press the "buy it now" button fast enough.

Instant buy.. thanks bro

I recently picked up a blue 2 tone (matte/gloss) case and really like it. I got it for $8.00 on ebay with a free screen protector, earbuds and free shipping.

Got mine yesterday. Fantastico. Really love it. Makes the tablet easier to hold and by having the ridge around the border gives you something to hold on to.

Just got it. Delivered in like 2 days. Case is fantastic. Feels real high quality and you were right it barely adds much thickness. Love it.

Received mine in the mail the other day. Only complaint is the flimsy packaging, but this is more of a USPS issues since ( I believe) the delivery person seemed to have laid some heavy packages on my package. The end result upon delivery is I have a heavy bend/crease in the case that wont go away and wont allow the case to fit over the tablet properly. I contacted the company and they are shipping a new replacement at no cost. Great case, and great customer service.

Does the case make the power and volume buttons any harder to press?

I saw them on EBay but I prefer the hard plastic snapon ones. Mine should be here anytime now.

the case is great
Have to agree, got mine on saturday and it is great. The fit is perfect, it is very slim on the rear, and the extra lip on the borders makes it much easier to hold the nexus.

Shame about the shipping cost (at least to my country it's rather expensive (over twice the price of the cover itself)) so ordered a Mumbi cover. Unfortunately with an "X" on the back but the majority is matte and it grips reasonably well.
Finally able to remove the protective plastic from the tablet, after owning it for a week. Yes, I know, OCD, but I like my stuff to be neat

cheap TPU case recommended

I ordered a cheap TPU material case from amazon for something like $7 shipped and its an amazing deal. It's a smoke colored diamond pattern and i chose it because i wanted something easier to slide out of my pocket than the regular cheap rubber silicone cases that get lint all over them and i didn't want to pay a lot of money. I also didn't want a snap on cheap plastic one that might scratch my phone so this seemed like a good choice.

I have grown fond of the tpu cases, especially the argyle pattern and it works well as regard to no lint and being non-sticky. I usually buy it for all my gadgets..xoom, Ipad, and thunderbolt.

I got mine off eBay for 4 bucks. I didn't want a glossy finish, nor the argyle pattern, so mine is a matte dark gray/black finish. It should feel better in the hand.

I put the screen protector on and gave it about a day and a half, 2 days before i put the case on (the put the case on carefully)
the case sits just a but on top of the screen protector, so far, it hasnt lifted, but whatever, lifetime zagg warranty
mine arrived in the mail, smoke grey colored argyle diamond pattern just like the pics posted. easy to slip on and off but would never fall off. MUCH better than the rubber silicone material yet still nice and smooth and almost rubber or gel feeling. slips in and out of a pocket easily yet feels a little better in the hand, it sort of grips slightly better than the actual phone surface, so better one handed use. very happy for under $10 shipped!

[REVIEW] Cruzer Lite Argyle TPU Cases

Recently picked up two different Cruzer Lite Argyle Pattern TPU cases...here's what I think:
This applies to both the Clear Argyle & Smoke Argyle Cases.
Please note, I'm NOT affiliated with the maker of these cases...just LOVE a good TPU Case!
1. It fits perfectly- nice and snug. Cutouts are just right. Easy to put on / take off. No "give" doesn't feel like it'll get loose on ya.
2. The volume buttons covered with two overlays, defining the buttons nicely. A little stiff at first, but seems to be softening a little over a few days.
3. Not overly slick. Easy to put in your pocket / remove. Seems to have enough friction to prevent dropping. Some of these TPU cases are like holding a wet fish, while your hands are covered in baby oil. This one's just fine.
4. Lightweight - doesn't add any real bulk...most TPU cases don't. Having such a slim, lightweight phone is something to show off...this doesn't detract from that.
5. Great packaging - most of these type of TPU cases just come shipped to you in a plastic baggie. This had said plastic baggie, with another layer of protection inside that...plus a cardboard cutout. (it's the little things that impress)
6. I love that the SGSII logo can be seen through the argyle pattern. This and the darker of the two cases allow for this. I like it!
7. The argyle pattern itself is sharp...I feel it adds to the classy image of this phone.
I'll say in summation, that I've had an overall pleasant experience with this TPU case...and the Owner that sent it to me. Seems like decent Customer Service in my interactions. Of course, in all honesty a TPU case doesn't offer as much protection as an OtterBox...but overall it serves it's purpose!

I like this case too. I posted a few pictures in another thread.
I didn't like how the volume rocker cover felt so I ended up using the cardboard mod that other people were using with the other TPU cases. I might consider removing that mod because I'm afraid it might damage the buttons in the long run.
I really like these as well. Looks like the smoke argyles are sold out at amazon and I cant find them on ebay. anyone know where these are in stock right now?

What color did you get?
Ordered the clear argyle case, just arrived today. The case fits like a glove, the only thing is that the argyle design is scratched and faded around the corners. Maybe I'm just being finicky. But I can't really argue with the price. Leaps and bounds better than the silicon case I had, oh and it's lighter too.
The way the cases are molded sometimes small defects can be found on the corners. I am glad to hear you like the case.
Other than those minor problems, I love this case. The case seems good enough to give me peace of mind while handling my phone.

Anyone finding any dark/navy blue cases?

I'm having trouble finding anything I really like, that is dark blue or navy blue.
Don't like medium or light blue colors much.
Any suggestions?
This is what I'll get if I don't find something better.

Already checked ebay. Thousands of cases and none that I like.
The Rock case would be pretty cool if it were dark blue.
This is going to be a "going out" case where form over function is the goal.

I have the Elago G5 slim fit in blue and I love it as a slim sleek case. Still looking for a more protective (maybe TPU) style case that is sleek and has a kickstand that is flush to the back.

I'm not crazy about this case. But it's not bad either.
Here are some plus's & minuses.
1) It's kind of slick feeling. Like it could easily slip through my fingers.
2) It always feels "dusty" even when it's clean?
3) #2 is probably because it has a "silky soft" feel to it. I'm probably just not used to the way that feels. It does not feel like any TPU case I've ever used before. It does not feel overly rubbery but instead, almost "cloth-like".
4) It's a perfect fitting case. VERY easy to put on and remove. So easy in fact, that you think the phone might fall out. But once the case is on, it feels like it fits perfectly. The case does not wiggle around like some cases I've had before.
5) The cutouts are all very good.
6) The USB cutout is large enough to allow all of my microUSB connectors to flush fit the phone when connected.
7) The blue color has a barely perceptible PURPLE tinge to it. Even though it's mostly blue. Kinda like the phone itself.
8) It has not gotten any scratches in the few days I've used it so far.
9) It has a blemish just above the volume rocker.
10) I missed it during the purchase but the volume & power buttons are covered up.
I ended up purchasing from a Verizon corporate store a glossy blue TPU case made by Belkin. The color closely matches that of the home button and it covers up the power and volume buttons. All the cutouts match up perfectly with the phone.
$20 seemed a bit steep, but the case should last the entire time I have the phone...

Just so you guys know the Otterbox Commuter is on sale on Amazon US for $22
Do you find it bulked up the phone much? or does it still feel slim & lightweight?
I can vouch for this case. Fit is awesome. Its also very light and I wouldn't consider it bulky. My only complaint is the plastic outside shell could be a little less smooth to provide more grip.
In facht Im holding a brand new Commuter right now.
Yes the back is a bit slippery and yes the buttons are hard to press. But it was well worth its money, really good fitment. I believe this is proper protection.
And no, i do not find it bulky or heavy at all. (<- Personal matter)

I would love to get that case, but do you get any discolouration on the case? you know it being white, I have a "cheap" white tpu case which is starting to go dark on the edges, does that happen here too?
I highly doubt it, the white part is the hard shell in any case the Grey silicone would be the one to discolor, which I don't think it will either, we'll just have to wait and see, I've had mine over 2 weeks now, all is awesome, buttons broke in and no discoloration at all.

Took the words outta my mouth... the plastic part could be coated or something cuz when my hands are dry the phone can very easily slip outta ur hands... other than that its awesome... hardly any added bulk and screen protector is holding up to daily wipes and cleans no with scratches... screen protector also does not discolor the screen. i found a leather belt holster that fits with the otterbox... buttons were pretty stiff but they are loosening up as time goes on. Wish i had seen this offer b4 i bought mine lol... oh well still love it
I have this case. Yes, the buttons are hard to press. I think it makes my phone too big. Went back to my Spigen Neo Hybrid for now.
I love the way that looks...if I buy another case my girl will throw me out of the house.

Spigen Ultra Thin Air for HTC One

I've seen a lot of thin cases for the HTC One but they all cover the beautiful design!! Spigens releasing a clear case for the HTC One! Anyone pre-ordered?

me is ordering right now. <3
We are going to order one to review.
Thats a damn good looking case!
Its a shame that it wil cost me about 73 USD for the cover+shipping+tax for shipping to Denmark
I want this but I worry how easy this thing will scratch. Awaiting review for further decisions.

Do they take payment now or in the 1-2 weeks it's expected to ship? Gonna work out to around £25 to get one to the UK but it's definitely tempting. I'm not usually one to use cases but this looks very low-profile. I hope it fits in the car dock. Very much doubt it though.

No by the looks of pics that I've seen, the phone can only fit in the dock with no case. That's the only reason why I'm probably not going to get a case for this phone as I intend to use the dock on a regular basis.

I wonder if this is prone to turning yellow like most clear cases. Just a heads up that the crystal clear is a fingerprint magnet whereas the soft clear isn't :good:

Case looks nice. Looks like they have two choices. Frost/Soft and Hard/Clear. Almost tempted to get both.
I already have 4 cases now before the phone The Rock Thin Case in Silver and White and the Nillkin in Black and White.
This one looks even thinner. Have the case early helped me get a real feel for the phones dimensions. I really like the size of it.
I would like to have a very very thin aluminum case with the same aluminum finish. So it looks like the back of the phone. That way I can scratch it and not feel bad and keep the same look.
I think they should check their description box. They still have iPhone 5 instead of HTC.
Spigen cases are beautiful. I have an ultra capsule (soft rubber case- i dont think it is tpu) on my SGS2 which works wonderfully. The only problems i have with this case are:
a) no front lip which leaves the screen/screen protector prone to scratches when face down.
b) its a hard case which means no impact absorption
My brother had this case on his HTC One X, and when it fell on its side, the screen/digitizer cracked straight from where the charging port is (on the side for the one x) as it is an exposed area. SGP steinheil screen protectors have unmatched quality. I have had them on 5 android phones throughout my family, but i think ill be going for a cruzerlite tpu case because of their impact absorption, and just getting the steinheil protectors. I look forward to AFN's review to see if anything has changed with this particular case, but my hopes arent high. Sadly, Spigen informed me that they have no plans for an ultra capsule for the HTC One.
Just my thoughts...

Can you post up some pics? I didn't know they were already shipping it out.
Does it feel slippery?
yeah i dont think they shipped it out yet.
Just ordered mine along with the Poetic Atmosphere.
$29 for cases, $31 for postage.
Seems legit
Figured that I wouldnt be happy with any other case though after seeing it so may as well just bend over.

Will do. I won't have them for nearly a month though going on the delivery times. But if no-one else beats me to it I will get some pics up as soon as they get in.
