ZVB is 4.1.2. If your phone updated to zvb then you were on zv9. And you should update to zvb before root and unlock.
1000's have used FreeGee and not had issues since zvb came out in March.
I just used FreeGee again yesterday to unlock ZVC, so it works just fine.
On phone now, but give me a minute and I'll post a couple links here.

ok so i just ran freegee and its correct special unlock in the settings menu o forgot to say i did make a freegee backup. as i was saying after the special unlock i perfored the unlock bootloader and it did its thing and it says device has been liberated yay! so as it went back to my home screen i had no errors pop up. witch is good i hope. so if i hold the volume up+power i should be taking to twrp recovery? as this should tell me if i have successfully unlocked bootloader correct? i dont want to restart phone till i know if this is valid information so please anser rather quickly cus my nerves are a wreck as i dnt want a hard bricked devise. thanks for the helps guys and i hope this thread sheds light to other ppl like me.

Take your pick. They are ALL very nice. If CM based, go with 4.3 ROMs.

LG-LS970 Factory(ish) Images

First, thanks to criptix for joining me tonight, being prepared and following instructions. He was a great help and hopefully these images can help make some noise around here. I will add the system image as soon as it's finished uploading. The system image is stock, fresh factory reset, with root.
Boot.img
Recovery.img
System Image ZV8
There will be a CWM flashable .zip available soon also, so you can fix yer junk if need be. Nothing fancy, but you can feel free to kang, theme or whatever you can do.
Check out my GitHub for some helpful tools and scripts should you choose to try your hand at making kernels.
Cheers and out!
Do you possibly have a ZV8 image unrooted and completely stock? I would like to include in my tool the option to un root. Thanks for your hard work.
great, we needed and still need some more noise
will try it out after finals. good work

No. But it's on my todo list and maybe we can write a script to unroot in the meantime. If I write it in bash can you transliterate into shell?
Great resource, thanks!
this is moving right along! I have a nexus s and when I upgrade it seems it will be an easy transition to a rooted, possibly rommed device!
ZV9 just dropped in the rdf page. If jelly bean pops up I would expect to see more people buy the phone and more developers coming our way. WIN WIN!

Just making sure it was not a typo. Depending on how complex your bash is, i might be able to help you out. Or i could write one in shell that erases system and replaces it with an unrooted stock image.

This is a ROM that supposedly allows multiple roms to be installed and allowing you to choose which ROM to boot up with. This is probably a port from nexus 4. There are many things that could go wrong with this and i suggest in my opinion not to try it till the dev officially claims and supports it to be working. But if there are any brave souls out there, u can definitely give it a go and report back haha

there are three files needed to flash this, the multiboot files, a recovery compiled with multiboot features, and another one i dont remember now, its something made originally for the Nexus 7.
theres only the recovery, so idk if it will work.
tho would be awesome to have that, devs should check into it, as would i if i had my computer, but it got stoled when i moved out home.. so, good luck to the testers. lol.

Since you advocate, pls try it out and report here if it works. Also make a detailed post on steps to get this up and running and also on how it works. I know u r not the dev, but at this stage I am not confident to give this a go.

[Q] pacman rom.... android phone stopped running help

A few days ago I flashed the official ls970 pacman ROM on my lgog. Up until today I have had no issues with it. I keep getting an error message that says process android phone has stopped running.at first it popped up I pressed OK a few times and it would go away for hours now it seems to be stubborn. Lol .I have read that other people have had the same problem. I know there is a file that needs to be deleted but I'm not sure which file and where to find that file to delete. If some one could please help me out it would be greatly appreciated....

Yea for the most part. Earlier today I had a string of them. I ended up rebooting and havnt had any since. So let me ask u here since I can't yet post on the PAC ROM thread. Will multi window ever be intergraded in PAC ROM. And how useful is it in vanilla Unicorn. My girl has a note 3 and I am so jealoise of the multi window. Pacman ROM was my first ever flash and I love it. But now I know how easy it is to flash with the right amount of reading on the ROM. Would it be worth checking out the vu rom?

Port Lg g3 notification window

Found this and wanted to share. I have not tested this with e980 but wanted to leave link for others to at their own risk. It is the new lg notification window. Looks pretty sweet. I am not rooted yet or I would try. Recommend back up first.
