The stock ROM has always been the fastest. I have about 160 Apps installed. The trick to get the stock ROM real fast is to delete the thermald binary and then undervolt it to keep the temps down. I run 150mv undervolt.

Where is the thermald binary located?

Scores
first pic is current and the other is my record. Also is my record using quadrant but i heard it isnr as accurate so i dont use it anymore... both AnTuTu pics running nexOgen 1.6 and ZVC viper OC kernel, interactive Governor at 1.836 Max Freq. Tons of apps installed, and lots of tweaks/mods.

I got 18655 running Spleef's Pacman rom full throttle and 18509 running Neighborhood's Pacman rom full throttle. It only drops down to about 18000 when I make the numbers more conservative for battery conservation. Not bad...

This is what I get running my normal daily driver at 1.5ghz. Rooted, unlocked stock zvc using viper1.1 kernel. Performance is great even at 1.5 but I get anywhere from 24-30 hours of battery use on a full charge with moderate/average use.

Custom Tegrak Profile for Battery Life

Hey everyone! Just been tweaking my custom profiles for Tegrak and I came across one of my best profiles so far.
If you find yourself looking for battery life while still maintaining smooth performance go ahead and download my .oc from this link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?wz89mdg7gsgal9a
I found that I could get over 24 hours of battery life (sometimes nearly 40 hours with very light use) after a good calibration and 3 full charges. Just download the file to /sdcard/tegrak/overclock and set it from the profile selector in Tegrak.
I've only tested this profile on Blazer v3.7 with Rogue Stock EL29 but It should help on all ROM's
Sorry I don't have any screens to post, just updated to Blazer v3.8 today and I never took any screens of my last battery performance.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy this profile!

why did u do 700~950 mhz? dont u get more battery if u do like 200~950?
Sorry, the file is mislabled. The profile is 700MHz @ 950mV down to 150MHz @ 800mV. The frequency scaling is 150-700MHz
EDIT: Changed the file name to [email protected]

Wow that's a pretty conservative scale, although the voltages seem reasonable. No sleep of death or slow downs? Either way thanks for sharing your profile. I'll give it a shot on my UnNamed setup.
Edit - Yeah as I suspected it was a bit too conservative for my phone. Screen scrolling was a bit laggy and I got a SOD on my first screen off. Had to do a battery pull to resuscitate.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
I haven't had any sleeps of death yet and ive been running this profile for about a week. There are very few slow dows, the most common slow downs you will see are: large programs will open slightly slower, unzipping files will take slightly longer, moving/copying/pasting files will take slightly longer, and scrolling on loading web pages will be a slight bit laggier (Tested on Opera Mobile only).
Keep this in mind: my home screen is perfectly smooth and I'm running SPB Shell 3D with a live wallpaper. I've tested GPU voltages and frequencies and even the lowest of both will not slow down my launcher performance while using this profile.
If you'd like to know, I did encounter freezes and sleeps of death when I pushed the bottom of the scale down to 150MHz @ 750mV. So I bumped it back up.

Changing CPU settings for better battery life.

I am hearing a lot about cpu adjustment, over clocking and script stuff for some extended battery life. I searched a lot but couldnt find any nice guide on this. I am running Juggernaut 5.0 with darkside mainline karnel . I am getting 8 hours of battery life. Want some more; since i am heavy user
Please help me on that.

try beast mod, its awesome for battery life.
I'm running Slickmod 2.4 with Gideon's UV script (no setcpu or anything involved) and I'm PRETTY sure I'm getting better battery life than I ever did on Juggs 5.0, maybe try that?
Undervolting/underclocking is what you need to maximize battery life. With that said, I get 20+ hours running Warfare rom/kernel.

I tried synergy kernel with juggs latest and the animations get pretty jittery along with constant homescreen roughness while scrolling. It's not slow, but not smooth. Was wondering what the best ROM/kernel combo is that's buttery smooth with the best battery life.
I'm using adw ex if that makes a difference? Tried with touchwiz and was the same.

first you need root acces
then a custom kernel
then a app that can change cpu frequencies
tutorials for root are all over XDA, evencas the kernel installation, but that has to be specific for our gio.
if done that, you can overclock
I have giopro v1.5, px kernel for gio and I use no-frills cpu for overclocking.
Mine reboots in 5 minutes on 942 just like your, I use 864.
And what are those things?(noop, smartass, ondemand, deadline, cfq, etc)

Overclocking makes your phone faster. You overclock processor, so it jumps from 800MHz to - for example - 920MHz. You just feel defference in speed
Yes it increases the speed but the battery drains really fast.big problem for someone like me..

I tried re-flashing that kernel, as well as tried the one for the E988- no luck. I even uninstalled all my apps and did a factory reset. Still my phone would not really enter a deep sleep.. (stats showed it would hit deep sleep for about 4 or 5 seconds every once and a while.)
Broke down and flashed the stock image that includes the recent value pack update from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2361928 and NOW it will deep sleep.
Re-rooted and ran freegee to get a recovery...
Not sure what it was that was killing it so I will re-install my apps 1 at a time and check...

Update: so there is definitely something about the Value Pack that is causing me some serious battery drainage. I just went back to stock and said screw it. Like it better anyway. Been sitting at 100% for the past 30 minutes while browsing Facebook. Did the same test before on the Value Pack update and I would drop to 97% within 15 minutes of taking it off the charger, and that's not even using it.

I believe this was Jedi V2, and his kernel at the redline. I got my best numbers by letting the phone sit idle for a while, then testing.
Stock deodexed, Lean Kernel by Imoseyon and top secret settings and procedures.

I understand you guys are getting great scores but I thought the thread is about "how to get them" as well, lol. Please share if you can. Thank you.

Really dont bother posting if your not going to share "exactly how you got that score" it is not for this thread.

Ok, sorry.

How to get comparable scores? Try to OC the CPU and GPU as much as possible, increase the thermal precaution limit (Kernal w/ toolbox settings), and toss it in the freezer so it doesn't throttle from heat; BAM! Unrealistically high and non-applicable real life socres.

Linpack is the only relevant tool m flops is the only real cpu benchmark it should be added to your measurements
