[Q] Bluetooth HID keyboard problem - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hello,
I've been using openSEMC for a while no on my Xperia S, and it works great.
There's only a quite annoying bug, which I can't resolve.
I've searched quite a lot but I cannot find a solution.
I can connect to my bluetooth keyboard, it pairs, and seems to be connected, but no input whatsoever is registered.
I just seems to be dead..
It's not the keyboard, because it works on other android devices, and used to work on mine before I flashed the openSEMC rom.
I found one more entry in the development section of the rom about this, but there was no reaction, or solution.
Hoping somebody can help me here!
Cheers,

Well opensemc is a beta(i think) so things may not work, and i suggest using the stock rom if you want everything to work
+ i personaly like the 96 firmware
Sent from my LT26i using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

even my personal opinion is use .96 stock or stock based rom.everything works and no problems.i used to use pac because ics seemed slow and laagy for me but now no issues so,its near abt perfect

[Xperia Arc]FXP 127 WLAN problem

Hey
Since I got the FreeXperia Project ROM 127 and the Kernel, i got one Problem after a nother.
For now it is the W-LAN. It probably connects to my router but dont load anything.
Now i found on the official FreeXperia Project page in change log version 128 but on their page aren't any downloads and i can't find another one.
got you a source for 128 or a Wlan fix for 127 ?
if there is no fix or a 1.000.000 % working ROM of FXP, can you advice me a better, really working ROM ?
??
What do you mean probably connects? can't I check ?
If u looked a bit u'd know 128 ain't been released yet.
WiFi should work just fine for me in127 and as far as I know aside from occasional disconnects ours not an issue
It connects to my wifi Router but there is No data stream, there is no Download Or upload. BUT it is connected i dont get this issue with any other wlan device

I'm guessing you already tried wiping all and fishing anew?
also may wanna try setting up static IP or deleting WiFi/hdcp
for others Re following this thread i have to say that i given up with this rom dont trying it anymore, im switched to JJ's hybrid rom. its much better than fxp.
bravia engine supportet, hdmi supportet, xloud, sony smart extras supportet but all on pure nexus AOSP experience!
but the biggest benefit is the battery life. with this cm9 trash my battery was emty after only 4 hours, i mean completle empty. now with jjs it does a hole day by power using the phone !!! only a tipp from me:
switch to arcknight kernel 3.3 and jjs rom 3.1, best stuff for xperia who wants aosp feeling with full supportet sony features excluding trash apps like fun and more or stuff

MIUI.us 2.8.31

Does anybody use MIUI.us 2.8.31 ROM?
The ROM IS working To your phone good?
I flashed (MIUI.us 2.8.31.) to my phone yesterday. Earlier I used a MIUI.us 2.8.10
I’ve found some bugs:
• Usually I’ve got a black screen after unlock,
• The soft keys (home, menu, back, search) doesn’t light,
• I use a HTC headset. The headsets bottoms don’t function. I can’t pick up the phone.
Earlier ROM (2.8.10) doesn’t was these bugs.
Other: How can I use the FM radio. It’s doesn’t work any MIUI ROM for me?
Please help me!
Thanks:
Lacika888
Sorry for my English.
I've been using this ROM since 3 days. It looks great and it's been working well. Very smooth too. I haven't had the black screen on unlock bug at all yet, though I keep hearing about it. I do have an issue of backlight not going off after screen is locked, but that's a bug in the CM10 nightlies that this ROM uses as base. Soft keys not lighting up I confirm. They don't light up at all. I haven't tried the headset issue because my dog chewed up my headset lol.
I started with 2.8.31, so I don't know about 2.8.10. But from what I vaguely remember reading in the OP, is 2.8.10 ICS or JB? If it's ICS, then it is based on aospX by existz, which doesn't have any of these problems.

[Q][Answered][Xperia NXT1.3][Locked Bootloader]Data Problem?

Hello,
I've been really pleased to finally aquire a Xplay, and couldn't help rooting and putting roms on it!
So I've tried Xperia NXT1.3 due to popular praise and so far I love it, it's very clean and although I was used to the plenty of extra settings from the CyanogenMod roms I used before on my old phone, I didn't want to unlock my bootloader and void my warranty as I just bought it, and some defect might still turn up. The rom still offers a bit more than the stock, wich is all I asked of a daily rom.
But here's the thing: although data through 3G worked fine on stock, I haven't been able to get it to work since flashing?
I was on firmware .42, so I flashed .58 Enhanced before putting the rom on there and everything, wiped cache and data, set my APNs, did everything by the book (or so I thought), but nothing...
I've looked but couldn't find anyone having trouble with that, any ideas what might be the problem here? I can still use the wifi but that's rather annoying to not be able to use WCDMA.
I would have posted this in the Xperia NXT thread, but I'm too new for the development forum apparently.
Any ideas?
TL;DR: My Data doesn't work with the rom Xperia NXT 1.3 that I'm using.
No one?

Try flashing the ftf and reflashing the ROM. I had a similar problem but my service wasn't working. Flashing ftf and reflashing ROM helped. Also if you just got the xplay brand new I would advise you to change it. Its a nice phone but pretty outdated. You might like a phone with better specs. Only reason I'm sticking with it is because of the great devs we have for it though the game pad is also nice.

Thanks for your reply!
Which ftf should I reflash? The 58 Enhanced? I was going to try other roms today to see if that fixed it, and other ftfs with the same rom, but to be honest I wasn't really sure about that last one, is there incompatibilities issues?
About changing it, to be honest I had an X8 before, so this is a huge improvement for me! The dev community was amazing and it's a great phone though, I really loved it. I'm not one for big specs, I mainly use my phone to play emulators and texting/phoning/music, and none of these things requires any more than this phones offers. I don't really do HD gaming and videos, I have a laptop for that! And I absolutely love the gamepad, this is really the only way I could justify ditching my x8, this is to say how much high end wouldn't do much for me!

I have this problem with NXT 1.3 and DiXperia 2. I request the APN setup from my service provider few times but I can't receive the setup, manually set APN, not working also, so I tried create an APN, enter the first two section (APN name and another one I forgot) then save it, and surprisingly I got my data working! Mind telling me your device info? Maybe we have something in common and maybe we can fix it by changing something
> jeff7424
You're totally right! I tried what you said and it worked! That's just weird.
In the meantime I had tried gin2jb, and it was working fine, so it was really the rom and not the FW it seems. The thing I've noticed is that NXT doesn't have the pop up on first connection that asks you to specify your provider, maybe there's something like that...
What kind of info do you think would help? It's a R800i GSM, the FW is 58 enhanced, baseband 67, the rest is ROM specific I think?
I remembered it used to work, I don't know why lol. I was using .58 enhanced few months ago and after I reflash .58 FW and NXT it doesn't work anymore (weird). Then I switched to .62 and NXT it doesn't work also, after that I tried .62 with DiXperia 2, not working also, so I gave up at first. Then I tried this few days back and it worked I dunno why lol

This should really be in those roms Q&A threads anyway, that was brilliant. Simple and clean!
Simple step...just download software "tweakker" from play store and run it while wifi connected... then it will find your mms and data plan setting... that all
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
I wish I could test this... I'm not sure it would have, since I set it up manually with the values given by my provider and it didn't work...
Not setting anything worked fine though, so that's ok. It would be good to know though!

[Q] Does any ROM have a fully working GPS?

Ive noticed that in all the Jellybean ROMs listed for the captivate glide, there seems to be a problem where the GPS will only report any two given satellites at any time, and it also never reports how many satellites it has a fix on. Are there any workarounds? besides that, what JB ROM is the most stable?

did you do a search ? ..this has all been covered.. ics uclj3 has a gps fix..
Yeah I did a bunch of searches, and I didn't come up with anything. My Op wasn't specific enough. I was asking about jellybean ROMs with the fix. I have the official 4.0.4 update that you mentioned, rooted it myself and didn't like it very much, so i am looking for alternatives.

I didn't have any issues w/ pacman v18 .. you'll need to apply keyboard light fixes, bln fixes, .. some other fix i can't remember
As well, some apps will have to be copied to SDCard or they will vanish on reboot. (frozen bubble and pocketcloud were the ones that disappeared for me)
same issues apply (bluetooth audio on phone calls, skype audio).
ICS is the only fully working one next to jellybean.. the modded GB and ICS just aren't pretty as JB so I feel ya ... I ran w/ the ICS for quite some time before the new M2 and M3 builds of cm 10.1 came out. I used the rooted Dman's deodex, added 14 toggle mod and was rocking w/ stability for quite some time.

Sound problem

Hello,
I've got recently this phone and I kind of like it. The only reason was the qwerty keyboard.
The biggest problem I have with this phone is the sound. Every messenger app (skype, yahoo, viber etc) has the same problem. The receiving sound is slow and ununderstandable.
The current ROM installed CM 10.1 Kernel 3.1.10 android 4.2.2
I am a newbie in installing ROMs, but if I could I'd go straight to android 2.3.5
CM 10.1 is very laggy, with lots of problems (missing calls, GPS connectivity, maps, performance etc).
Anyone had this problem and solved it?
Thank you
P.s. I searched in the forum about this issue, but didn't have much luck.
Whos CM 10.1 are you using? Also CM 10.1 is no longer being updated,I suggest you use CM 10.2 by Bubor or a 4.3+ ROM
If you need more help please post back
The sound issue is with voice recording, any action with VoIP, dictaphone, voice dialing etc. will make sound playback distorted for some time. This issue exist in any ROM after stock ICS, so if this is very important for you, you'd better stay with stock. Here's the link: Stock UCLJ3.
If you wish a newer ROM, such as CM 10.1.3 or CM 11, there is workaround with VoIP sound called Tinyalsa stack, but it broke GSM call receiving sound. You can look here.
Also, I should say that CM 10.1.3 and CM 11 I linked have almost no issues beside this VoIP. GPS working great, no missing calls, no reboots, great performance and no battery draining. But I recommend to try and find what will suit you best.

Hello,
Yes I use skype calling a lot, I need this feature working. So you are suggesting me to install the android 4 stock version from samsung, but from what I red, there is an issue with the qwerty keyboard light. If this is true, it confirms my first idea to go with android 2.3.5
Thank you for your replies!
Samsung fixed the keyboard issue and a lot of other stuff in their 2nd release of stock ice. If you see those types of complaints, they are from the first revision.
I'm running stock and the only two issues I have is general UI laggieness (which is expected since its stock with bloat and not really optimized, also running on an older phone with no project butter). Along with messaging notifications failing to make any noise at random. I'll get a new text message and the screen will light up, but doesn't viberate or make a sound at random. Incoming calls still ring just fine though.
Other than those two issues (lag really isn't an issue for me), stock works just fine for me.

Yes, I recommend to install stock 4.0.4, it's the best way I know to have working GSM and Skype calling at the same time without needing to switch alsas stacks. j.asir here using new CM with tinyalsa fix and terminal shortcut - that's a bit inconvenient, but at this time there's no better way to go if you wish to have newest android and skype calls.
I newer tried 2.3.5 ROM on this phone, so I can't comment anything about it. If you try vanilla 2.3.5, please write about the results!

Hi @Makshow, have you considered using a 2.3.5 ROM? I have considered the possibility of doing so as I've heard that our device running GB has no issues at all... or so I've heard, but I honestly haven't had the time to test it. I was considering the possibility of using Inception (Back in black), but the download links are not available. If my Glide would work smooth and with no issues with GB I'd be glad to use it. If you decide to go for a GB ROM could you please provide me with some feedback? I would really appreciate it if you do so. I am not so cool with using ICS as stock is very battery & RAM consuming. And I was not so convinced using Litekernel or literom. Literom is really cool, but it has some issues and glitches that I found very disturbing. If you do go for GB please provide me with some feedback :highfive: Regards
I got this phone with new ROM already installed, so I won't try flashing 2.3.5 GB Android, I have no experience with this at all. Sorry. And I doubt that there weren't any issue with GB, one can search older posts in these forums and see that there were many bugs and bloat and troubles.
As for working download link for INC3PTION 2.3.5 ROM, there is one from Androide3 here. You can try it.

BTW is there a specific method to install this ROM? I ask since I have never used GB. My phone came with ICS already

Listen may i know it got really annoying with the sound.. but we have a fix now...
its a third party app which you can use.. its very easy to use and one time setup only
just get any kitkat rom..
its stable and only stops working if the app gets killed but otherwise i have tested it extesively
try it out and i would suggest omnirom to you if u prefer simplicity.

Finally I did it!
Finally I did it!
Ok, it was very easy and I feel kind of stupid  but as for the first time I'm still proud.
The major problem I couldn't install the stock rom was because of twrp. I had a old version, 2.4 I believe.
I managed to over install cwm v 6.whatever which was compatible with i927 and re-tried to install the stock rom and IT WORKED!
The stock rom is great! the phone is much much much quicker than with cm10.2. All features work! skype calls, voice recording, map, camera rotation, etc. Will see if I will lose any missed call.
The problem, I'm facing now is the sd card and internal memory which were inverted during cm10.2, but I am sorting things out.
I'm a bit disappointed that I lost all the installed apps with cm10.2. and I can not re-install them again. I have only the option to update it which won't work. Any idea?
