[ROOT] Root your G2 [ATT|VZW|TMO|KT|RGS|BELL|TELUS|OPEN] [Yay!] - G2 Android Development

Howdy everyone!
Here's another neat root!
What is this?
This is a very simply and easy to use root package for the LG G2.
For now I'm calling it IORoot, despite the fact that it's not really all that deserving of a name.
Which phones does this support?
Currently the following phones are supported by this root package:
AT&T G2 (D800) - D80010d
Verizon G2 (VS980) - VS98010B (Shipping ROM)
Verizon G2 (VS980) - VS98011A (OTA)
T-Mobile G2 (Shipping ROM)
KT F320k (Shipping ROM)
Rogers D803 (Shipping ROM)
Bell D803 (Shipping ROM)
Telus D803 (Shipping ROM)
OPEN D802 (Shipping ROM)
How do I use this?
Here's a video!
Or, in List Form:
Ensure you have the proper USB drivers installed, and your phone is in the proper mode (For Verizon, use Ethernet mode on the PC settings menu)
Enable Developer Mode on your phone and enable USB Debugging
Extract this zip file somewhere on your PC
Run root.bat
The phone will ask you to disconnect USB, disable USB debugging, then re-enable it and plug the phone back in, do so when prompted
You will then be asked if you would like to have a superuser package installed, which you can accept or decline
Why is it asking if I want to 'trip rootchecker'?
LG's phones come with some software loaded that detects the presence of root on a phone, and invalidates your warranty.
Rooting the phone, by nature, voids your warranty. You can put your phone in a special mode where ADB shell has root permissions, however your phone is not technically 'rooted' by app standards.
You will not be able to use 'root required' apps on your phone if you do not let the root script install Superuser.
Okay, where do I get this?

Here's another neat root!
This is confirmed to work for the ATT and Verizon variants, I'll add support for T-Mobile as soon as I get someone in #lg-g2 in Freenode who owns one.
Simple:
Ensure you have ADB drivers installed and USB Debugging enabled
Extract this .zip file somewhere
Run the root.bat file, and read the instructions
During the installation, you'll have to disable USB Debugging and re-enable it, then the app will ask you if you care about rootcheckerd (rctd).
If you don't want your phone to show "rooted" in download mode, or in settings, hit CTRL-C when prompted and you'll just have a root shell through ADB.
Personally, this is enough for me, but if you want full root, press continue and it'll install superuser and a superuser binary for you.
PLEASE do not mirror this! It makes my life easy if I can just edit the file on my server if need be instead of contacting all the mirrors.

First!!! Thanks IO and all the devs responsible :highfive:

Can you explain the difference between root shell (leaving it to say unrooted) and "full" root? Will this affect once we get a way to unlock the bootloader or get a recovery for roms? And is there a way to unroot? Thanks for this!!

Root shell allows you to have root only through ADB. Apps on the phone will not be able to use the root functions of the device if you don't let my script install superuser.

The other thread contained a link to a root that could possibly compromise your phone's security (and your desktop too, since there's all sorts of other stuff in those exe files).
If someone pops into the #lg-g2 chan with a TMO phone I'll gladly support TMO as well!
If you did happen to use the old root, I'd recommend restoring your phone back to stock with the TOT / KDZ files before applying this root.

You need to have the android sdk installed on your computer. I find it easier to use a distro of linux but windows is fine too. Find android sdk install and make sure adb is in the /platform-tools folder. Then run this adb devices cmd with your phone attached via usb and if it works you should have an rsa security pop up on your phone you have to allow. Then your phone is connected via adb.

how does one "pop into the #lg-g2 chan" ? i have a tmo g2 and i'm no dev or hacker but i'm clever and have been rooting and customizing since 4.0.
all i really want at this point is the ability to remove the bloatware and then possibly unroot

You will need to go back to stock, and then reroot with this rooter.
If you are on VZW ONLY, follow my guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448960
if you are on anything else, this guide is better to follow, but I had issues with the first section (which is why I wrote my VZW-specific guide) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476

[N10] CF-Auto-Root

CF-Root is the root for "rooting beginners" and those who want to keep as close to stock as possible. CF-Root is meant to be used in combination with stock firmwares, and be the quickest and easiest way for your first root.
Donate
CF-Root has been available for many devices and has clocked over 9.5 million downloads. This is not even counting custom ROMs that already include it. Don't be a leech, buy me a beer (and use the "Thanks" button!). Imagine if every CF-Root user has donated me $1...
What's installed
- SuperSU binary and APK
- Nothing else, that's it.
Installation and usage
- Download the ZIP file (see post below for link)
- Extract the ZIP file
- Boot your device in bootloader/fastboot mode. Usually this can be done by turning your device off, then holding VolUp+VolDown+Power to turn it on.
- Connect your device to your computer using USB
- Windows:
--- Run root-windows.bat
- Linux
--- chmod +x root-linux.sh
--- Run root-linux.sh
- Mac OS X
--- chmod +x root-mac.sh
--- Run root-mac.sh
- Follow the on-screen instructions - watch both the computer and the device !
Note that if your device had not been unlocked before, this procedure will wipe all your data !
Are you having fastboot driver issues? You can find fastboot drivers in many places, but the easiest way is probably just installing the Android SDK.
Did you see the red Android logo during rooting, but SuperSU does not appear? This may sometimes occur due to left-over files and settings, however, you can usually install SuperSU from Google Play at this stage and it'll just work.
Not included - adbd Insecure
As this CF-Root does not include a custom kernel, adb shell does not have root access by default (you can still get it by typing su inside the shell), nor is adb remount supported, nor will adb push and adb pull work on system files. adbd Insecure can be used to remedy this situation. (No idea what this is about ? Don't worry about it !)

No, this does not unlock the bootloader it only gives you root acess and installs the SuperSu app. To unlock the bootloader you must use fastboot and type the command:
fastboot oem unlock
I would suggest taking a look at mskip and wugfreshs toolkits located in the original development and development section of the nexus 10 forums respectively for a simple way to unlock your bootloader.

Good to see nexus 10 getting all this support from Android gurus here on xda ...but again it's a nexus device ...me glad I bought it ...extremely happy with my purchase thanks chainfire for this easy root method as usual it works
So if this doesn't unlock your device, why does the OP state:
Note that if your device had not been unlocked before, this procedure will wipe all your data !?
Does rooting/installing SU wipe this device?
His previous version didn't wipe the device, so I'm guessing this one doesn't either
Didn't need to unlock boot loader to root

Are you sure? The script in the ZIP in OP has the following command:
Code:

Does that not issue a unlock? Is it necessary to run this command?

Please re-download, I've included the missing file in the new package.
now its stuck at waiting for device
when i plug in my n10 on bootloader screen, i hear the bad connection to usb sound, the 3 note sound, not the usual 2 note sound when i the connection is good.
but i am still able to see my n10 when i boot it up normally and can transfer files etc
am i missing something?
Thanks for this tool, works perfectly.
I'm also stuck on "waiting for device" also. any way around this?
Edit: Downloading and installing full drivers fixed it.
Big thanks, I was stuck in a bootloop, but this got me out of it!

Root method

I think i saw someone post this method before, but can't find it. So i post root method. Currently this method work on the latest Canadian OG firmware (Both E971 and E973). i did not make this method, i just find it from a chinese web. Here is the link
http://bbs.gfan.com/android-5698914-1-1.html
Here is the instruction.
1. Unzip the zip file
2. turn on usb debug and plug in the cable to pc
3. double click the root.bat
4. unplug the cable.
5. Turn off the usb debug
6. turn on the usb debug
7. plug in the cable.
8. Press enter until it root.
9. Done.
So this work for the E973 on latest stock firmware...? e973H ..?
Be careful, this root is for "[Tutorial] F180 the series 4.1Root method"
That's the title of the other forums.. So this might not WORK!
Yes I tried on my e973 and it work
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
I can confirm it works on my Rogers E971
it's great.it works indeed.

I want to root this thing soooo bad!! But I want to have a backup of the official JB update, and I don't want something to prevent me from installing it via OTA. I'm curious to see what lg will do with jb. I'm really liking the stock ICS experience on this phone, and I think they'll just kill it (in a good way) with jb!

I really would have posted this much sooner, however, this particular method was being kept secret with the intention of the exploit still being available upon US Jelly Bean release. Since this has been outed, and is now public, i will share a more proper script of the same method. I actually kept the adb shell id command, as it is pretty useful for this operation.
Main differences in my script is that you don't need to ever disconnect your phone.
1. Unzip the zip file
2. Make sure USB Debugging is on, and your are in Charge only Mode
3. Run the CurrentRoot.bat, wait for the prompt
4. Change to MTP mode.
5. Wait for your computer to ask how to view files.
6. Press enter in the CMD prompt to continue.
7. Done.
This is a fully working method for the most current US/Canadian releases, and Jelly Bean releases. BTW, the current release does not install busybox correctly, includes SuperuserPro.apk (which I'm sure wasn't purchased by everyone downloading this). Also I have updated it to the latest busybox, su binary's, and Superuser.apk available.

I can't thank you enough.... I got my Optimus G in Dec. and I immediately found root method and was completely content with my new phone. Then came the dreaded OTA update that I knew would remove root. I avoided the update with determination. I shouldn't have let my goofy sister touch my phone... After our got it back from her I realized I wasn't receiving the update reminders. I panicked, checked root, root was lost! :crying: I began searching everywhere only to find that there was no root for zv9....For weeks it was the same. Then yesterday I found your method, fired up my laptop and within 5 minutes my LGOG ZV9 on Sprint was rooted again! Thanks again. I can't tell you how much I rely on my free wifi tether.
---------- Post added at 01:04 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:53 AM ----------
I re-rooted my LGOG after the OTA update to ZV9 robbed me of my original root. It only took about five minutes and worked flawlessly. Well tonight I tried to root my girlfriends phone (also a LGOG running ZV9 on the Sprint network) and although it ran through the process just as mine did, as well as stated root was successful, when I run root check to confirm it comes back negative. What am I doing wrong? Any ideas? Thanks
How do you unroot?

Every time I run CurrentRoot.bat I receive the error " 'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file" after every step.
Im on Telus running E97310g
confirmed working on LG E975 Singapore version
Afraid LG did something, cant get it to root.
I have an E975 with 4.1.2, software version E97510a-525-05.
I won it in LGs test pilot contest so not sure if its something they did to this or if they plugged the hole completely for the future also.
The guy I spoke to said something about them being flashed as we spoke, and it looked like the phone could have been taken from the box.
Should I wait and hope they send a update after the contest is over or can I use a KDZ and if so, what KDZ can I use to maintain same radio bands?
EDIT: Tried the LG sMobile Support tool and it said it found an update. So now its downloading that *holds thumbs*
EDIT2: Updated to E97510B and still no go, guess they did something to the euro version...
cant root
hi, i tried the CurrentRoot.bat and followed the instructions but couldn't root. it said phone now rooted and restarted the phone but there was no superuser after that
i saved a screenshot of it incase anyone can figure out whats wrong. just got the phone yesterday.... Best phone i've ever used.(from starhub singapore if it helps)

NOTE: To enter custom recovery shut phone off then press vol up+down+power at the same time you will see fastboot hit vol down twice you won't see anything happen on the fastboot screen hit power it will reboot to custom recovery.
8. Install zip from internal SD-card look for cwm6027touch_v14.4.6_geebus.zip in your main directory then flash it.
Now you can flash ANY Stock 4.1.2 ROM OR 4.01 ROM
Recommendation for Rogers use this Stock 4.1.2 Jelly Bean LG-E973/1/5/0 Canada / At&t / Int'l Edition found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2127346 Thank houstonn for this if you want to donate http://forum.xda-developers.com/donatetome.php?u=4852479
:cyclops:UPDATE: CM10 based roms will boot loop or just not boot due to a partition issue you must downgrade to shipped revision d not e kdz then full root/boot loader unlock then flash what you want. :cyclops:
FYI I bricked my phone once then restored it just to get this done.
After 10 hrs of playing around with all i could find in the forums i found this to work.
I have repeated these steps on 3 more phones for other owners and it works great.
Now i have no bloatware removed LG-Ui removed LG Email and Google Mail using enhanced email for faster push intervals Full nova launcher custom kernel and pimped with pimp my ROM for added tweaks and flashed g-now

Put your Optimus G into Download Mode by switching it off, attaching the usb cable to the phone, holding both the up and down volume buttons at the same time and lastly inserting the usb cable into the computer; wait for the drivers to finish loading if doing it for the first time.
Run KDZ_FW_UPD.exe. Use the settings below
Type: 3GQCT
Phone Mode: CS_Emergency
Navigate to the folder which you have saved the downloaded KDZ file
Click Launch Software Update and wait for the flash process to finish
Your phone will restart itself when complete
If you get stuck on the lg logo perform a factory reset volume down power at the same time release power at logo hold volume until you see factory reset then power twice
This proses is the same for downgrade E97110D_00.kdz is the downgrade file and is necessary to flash and run any CM10 based rom because of partition settings and if you downgrade root and fregee is all that you need and i recommend the downgrade its more compatible with custom roms

My 2 Cents= "If you asked for free advice and got what you paid for ? don't complain."
1st. Never upload something to dropbox if you want to distribute on public. It will rape your bandwidth allocation and you will get a warning and your dropbox public download will be cutted.
2nd. You didnt need to include your own backup file. Freegee will do the backup anyway and this might be confusing to the user if it says it failed but still have the backup done. This will also decrease significantly the size of the archive.
3rd. There is no developement done here. it's simply a re-zip of multiple package already found in this forum.
thanks for the info on drop box
and i did not claim it was anything i created or developed other than a workaround and the back up is from the developer of freegee and has been removed.
Wow

Happy to report that I am rooted thanks to the info provided here!!
I am currently running an unlocked E971(Rogers) on the bell(E973) network.
Software Version: E97110e (latest 4.0.4 firmware for E971)
Thanks for the Thread!
THIS THREAD NEEDS MORE ATTENTION!!!!
QUICK AND EASY ALL IN ONE ROOT AND BOOTLOADER UNLOCK WITHOUT A NEED TO DOWNGRADE SOFTWARE, OR DO ANY KDZ WORK OF ANY KIND! (something I still am unsure how to do)
Thanks a TON kentek. I put off rooting this phone and unlocking the booloader because of all the software downgrading and different soft brick possibilities with OTA's and other things. This made things SUUUUUPER easy.
It almost scary how easy it was, lol. I think you should include a little bit more information in the OP however. Things like "USB debugging" must be turned on. Even instructions on how to boot the phone into recovery. Personally I use quick boot. Maybe recommend people root first, then install QuickBoot before unlocking with freegee, as an easy way to get into the CWM that freegee installs. Then you can use quickboot to get into recovery and update it to sk8ers touch recovery (the BEST recovery ive ever used across numerous devices.)
Anyway..... Thanks again kentek, and hopefully more people who were having trouble, or like me, hesitant to do anything, will see this thread and have their freedom granted as quick and easy as I did.
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTT!!!!!!!
ATRIXXIRTA I took your advice and did just that thank you for the props.
? Hows the weather up there still no snow here.
Re: Rogers e971 Root with update work around found and bootloader unlock with cwm upd
Ahhhh. Now THATS an OP! lol.
With the explanation so thorough now, nobody should have any issues. Just the more in-depth info about how freegee works. One of the things I was trying to find out was whether or not freegee replaced your recovery. Even the video on the freegee official thread doesn't explain ANYTHING. Just shows the guy booting into recovery, with no mention of the replacement cwm touch. You've pretty much made it fool proof now!
The weather here has been ridiculous. Its +12 one day, -10 the next. Its plague weather for sure, lol. Its funny, I'm literally on my way to Niagara right now as I type this. So I'll be passing through your neighborhood in about an hour, haha. I'll check out your weather as I pass through, lol.

To the OP, I wanted to thank you for posting all the information in an easy to follow manner. I can confirm that I am now rooted even though I had applied the latest OTA update from rogers prior attempting this method. Only tricky part was getting into recovery mode.. it should be "Hold the Volume UP & power buttons at the same time."
So will using this method to root and unlock bootloader cause me to lose the OTA function?
I'm on Rogers e971 with latest OTA update. I would like root so i can get back to using Titanium, but i'm not sure if i want to sacrifice my ability to run future OTA updates.

Can we relock the bootlader and accept an update if we wanted to? Assuming we were OK with the possibility that a new root method might not come

As soon as official updates are released, there's always a flashable .zip released within a week. Hell, were flashing the official update based on the Korean version of the software AND hardware, which are both slightly different. I wouldn't worry too much about ota's, lol.

will there be an update to the PurpleDrake method on the D851 with the new 10m update? for it to work properly?
YOu can still get rooted if u are on 10m. I did. It wont exit properly so u will need to pull the battery after it is done.

Correct. However, it does not install TWRP, nor the custom Boot.IMG to prevent triggering the root counter. I too would like to see an update to include these items.

I see your concern.. you can manually install twrp but i have no idea bout the boot.img
i did all except that. Someone mentioned you can flash back to stock and it will fix the root counter. If you ever need to send in your phone that is... but i do understand its easier if this would be one package kind of thing.
IDK how to even check that yet. LOL. I have already rooted and unrooted, just to familiarize myself with the process.

Yes, but as stated above, it will glitch. The glitch just freezes on the permaroot steps. Once this happens, removing the battery and rebooting still keeps your device rooted. With 10M, currently, you will have to manually install TWRP. I recommend downloading the IMG file online, and using Flashify to flash it.

Thank you for the response. Do you think its worth rooting since 5.0 is coming out soon? I still want to root but will I have to unroot in order to get the 5.0 upgrade? or better yet, will the LG get the upgrade any time soon. Sorry for these questions. And also, since this phone has the top notch camera resolution, will rooting affect the camera?

I unrooted to ensure I get the update. If you are rooted, and have not turned off OTA, you might get the OTA, and it might break something. I personally like the LG camera better than any other so far. Another reason I went back to stock. Rooting and keeping the stock OS, should leave the camera alone. If you flash a different ROM, your mileage may vary.
We should be getting 5.0 before the end of the year, officially. LINK

LG G3 D851: Root before or after Lollipop
My question is do I root now while on Android 4.4.2 or will I be safe to wait until after Lollipop has rolled out? I really want root but I'm afraid that it may not be an option after the update. Any guidance will be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I've installed the recommended drivers package, I've made sure it's in PTP mode, USB debugging connected, drivers appear to've installed properly: nothing. Just sits there.

No, perhaps I didn't. Is there a long and detailed explanation of how to use this rooting tool? The first post doesn't mention anything about a port change.

My apologies, that's for restoring stock... I see in your posts, you have it set to PTP... Mine was set to MTP. While "waiting for device" was on screen, I unplugged and replugged the phone. Aside from that, seems like you have done everything else properly...
Anyone else having issues making backups of AOSP ROMs? The backup folder is empty.

PurpleDrake issue
i was just rooting my G3 with purpledrake, and while it was doing the permaroot part, purpledrake closed on my computer and now my phone is stuck on a screen showing a red hand with a cross through it and a usb cord plugged into the side of a phone. What should i do?

lg g4 root issue

hello guys
need yout help, tried searching google for sulotion but came up empty.
ive rooted the lg g4 h815(android 6.0-V20c-SEA) before via iroot pc but after factory reset its returned to be unrooted.
when i try to root again its keep failing because of debugging issue (the software keep telling me its not in debugging altough it is)
i think the problem is when i do usb debugging - connecting to pc the option is checked in the check box but it turns gray.whats the problem is? how can i fix it ?
thank you in advance
If you mean the USB debugging option is checked but gray when your phone is plugged in, that is normal, you cannot change that option when you're plugged in via usb.
I'm not familiar with iroot personally, I could take a look if you need though, but maybe revoke usb debugging authorizations through dev options then accept the pc's key fingerprint once again to "kickstart" iroot.
If you've rooted before through iroot on the same software version you're on now, it should work again without too much effort. Also maybe try switching to MTP (Media Sync) or PTP (Camera sync), or between the both until something happens.
That's all I can think of ATM, I'll probably go check out iroot right now, and think a little more and come back, but I wanted to give you a quick enough response. I wish you the best of luck though!
Edit: Forgot to mention that sometimes SuperSU may get uninstalled from factory reset, if the the G4 Factory Reset protocol deletes the system partition, and then reinstalls it, then this would explain why/if you lost root, I do not know if that's the protocol though. If iroot roots and injects SuperSU as the root manager, try reinstalling it possibly.. unless you are 100% positive you are somehow completely unrooted. (Use a root checker to check if you still got it)
I recommend wiping Data, Cache and Dalvik from TWRP next time, if that's not what you did this time. :good:

No problem at all, I really do hope to fix this for you. Are you on the same software version as you were when you first rooted?/Which version is that?
Another thing I thought of, is your computer. Is it the same one that you used the first time? Do you have full admin access on it? Do you have all the LG drivers on it?
Do you have ADB/Fastboot fully installed on it? Obviously these are the first things you probably think about when you think about root, but I'm just making sure nothing is slipping by, you know?
Depending on what software version you're on, maybe we should try another root method if nothing works.
The last thing I'd say is to backup all your data/internal and flash the firmware you want to root on, but I really don't think we need to go that far.
P.S. I own a VS986 (VZW version of the G4) so I can only go to certain extents to reproduce/"debug" the problem you are having. Keep me updated!

Sorry for forgetting the whole reason you're in this problem is because of a factory reset lol, of course you have your data backed up. And trust me, I understand about the brick, I really messed up my G3 2 years back. Thanks also for the device pictures, could you post a shot of "About Phone=>>Software Info". That would be great!
Funny thing I just did that same phone rotation thing very recently XD

Well, it seems that the factory reset must also have deleted the system partition, then reinstalled it with the most updated version.. which is not good for the current situation.
Notice Security Patch Level is "2016-01-01" and you're running Android M 6.0, means that the software you're on is very recent, if not the most recent. I did some looking around just now, but I couldn't turn up anything that achieved successful root on "V20c-SEA-XX", which is what you would need.
Technically you could try the stock firmware KDZ for your device, which should be 5.1.1, then flash it with like LGUP, but I seriously don't recommend that unless you find a thread that confirms a working downgrade from V20c-SEA, because if the qfuse does not match between firmware versions, you could easily end up with a hardbrick.
Here is the link to your stock firmware, in case you find that it is safe to downgrade from 20c-SEA to 10b-SEA:
http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G4/H815/
You could try this: http://developer.lge.com/resource/mobile/RetrieveBootloader.dev?categoryTypeCode=ANRS
I'm not sure it will work, but I can't imagine it'd harm you, since it's LG official.
You could also try to fill the checkbox "OEM Unlock", and then try to unlock the bootloader via fastboot. I am not sure if this could possibly cause harm if it does not work properly, so try this at your own risk.: http://oneplus.wonderhowto.com/how-...all-custom-recovery-root-oneplus-one-0156099/ (It's all the same commands even though it says for OnePlus One device. If you happen to unlock the bootloader using fastboot, do not go on to Step 2 on that page)

Here's the LGUP software if you ever need: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/lgup-install-kdz-mm-lp-t3249803
I know alot of the links and such you can do by yourself, and may not be super helpful yet, but it should give you the information you need. And if root is not achievable yet on your software version, be patient, even on Marshmallow devices are being rooted even with locked bootloaders.
I apologize for such a long wait time + post! I wish you good luck again! :good:
P.S. You should include your current software version in your OP (Android 6.0 - V20c-SEA) so people more knowledgeable than I may be able to help you even more.

If nothing works, you could subscribe to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/rooting-h815-v20c-sea-xx-t3371107

:good:
P.S. You should include your current software version in your OP (Android 6.0 - V20c-SEA) so people more knowledgeable than I may be able to help you even more.

i think i find the problem- the adb is not working
i followed to unlock bootloader of lg, { https://developer.lge.com/resource/mobile/RetrieveBootloader.dev?categoryTypeCode=ANRS }
and when do this step:
"Enter your phone’s unique Device ID. You can view the Device ID by connecting your phone to the PC using a USB cable and entering "adb reboot bootloader" in DOS command window of the folder you created in previous step (for example: C:\tools). Your phone will reboot into the fastboot mode. Enter "fastboot oem device-id" in DOS command window."
it says failed to start daemon - error cannot connect to daemon.....
and i cant trace lg id.
any sugestion?

Alright, so I guess it does have something to do with your adb. First off, check your Firewall, make sure you allow adb through and out your Firewall, also maybe temporarily disable your Antivirus whilst using adb, or allow a connection through it if you can. Try turning off USB Tethering through your G4. Try going to Task Manager and ending the adb process tree, it should then try to restart itself. Don't use a wireless adb connection.. if you were trying that, although I didn't think you were.
In "short" order,
1. I would firstly suggest allowing access through your firewall/antivirus, or really I would disable both for now just in case
2. Then try killing the adb process tree in Task Manager
3. Try the adb commands: "kill-server", "start-server"
4. Install any device driver you would possibly need
5. Reinstall adb and fastboot, maybe just install entire SDK-Tools package if you don't have it already
-- If adb is not recognizing your device, which is why you can't track your id, then you can simply enter "adb devices" and it will list your device whenever your error is fixed.
That's all I can think of ATM, I'll post this now but I'll still be thinking of other options. Let me know what happens. Fingers crossed.
(You are starting the command window in your adb directory right?)

We're working on H815 SEA though.
Edit: Your guide is for EU v20d, she's on v20c on the SEA, do they use the same exact software? Is there a pending update for her?

Trust me, I understand your frustration, I'm going to make a guide for you in the next 6 hours or so.
Try a different computer if you can, I haven't had adb fail but many other tools sometimes work
on different computers for me. I've also heard "Dell PC Suite" should be uninstalled as it could cause adb hang ups,
if you have it. @htr5's guide might work for you if you have a software update available, I'm not sure though since it's not specifically for your device.
Regardless, I'm sure you will need to use adb soon, so we have to fix that.
I will try to make that guide asap, I obviously can only do so much, again, since I don't have your device, hopefully it will help though. I highly suggest trying on a fresh/different computer though.
Edit: Try USB 2.0 if you were using a 3.0 port (3.0 ports have the SS along with the usb "logo")
USB 2.0 is on the right:
"H815 SEA Root/General Guide"
@mikmikush
It does seem that you can treat your SEA device very similarly to the EU common version, in ways such as flashing KDZ's and rooting.
I cannot confirm this, but mentions in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/safe-root-h815-v10b-sea-variant-t3184152 make it seem like it should be okay.
Aoi_sora9x said:
I'm a SEA variant holder here.
It's fine, you can use the Low Effort Root method. You can also flash the EU open KDZ without any problem.
You lose VoLTE, but to me it doesn't matter so I don't really care.
I'm running the latest 10E ATM, and it's much much better than 10B, so flash away.

Yes, that post is for v10b, but it should also work for v20d/v20c. (Not the Low Effort Root method) - You will be working with EU software v20d.. while you are with SEA v20c,
so it's up to you if you want to try this, but it's the closest I can come right now. Thank @htr5 because I believe he has all of this in his guide, and I'll probably send you to his guide halfway through.
You may lose some features or brick your device by flashing firmware/software made for other devices. Trust your instinct!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Install adb setup from here this includes necessary adb drivers, adb itself, and fastboot.
2. Install LG Mobile Driver
3. Download LGUP tool from here (This is for restoring your device to stock if you softbrick via KDZ)
Follow this thread if/when you need to.
4. Here contains a KDZ for EU v20C, which I'm 99.9% sure will match your current software, even though it says for EU.
5. Here contains every partition including the KDZ for 20d by @autoprime, which will be necessary if you decide to root from @htr5's guide (v20d Root Method)
6. Once again, try to unlock the bootloader officially through LG, if you are successful, you can follow @htr5's 20d Root Guide here
7. Be careful and let me know how it goes
@autoprime Mentions that there is "NO anti-rollback qfuse used in this update" (20d) so if you flash the 20d KDZ and it works, I believe you should then be able to downgrade successfully to an earlier firmware version - without worrying about qfuse - and root using a Lollipop (5.0/5.1) method if you can't get anywhere on Marshmallow (6.0). - This I'm not 100% positive about, again, but it is my thinking.
Please thank anyone I mentioned and anyone who's link I provided, they all deserve it!
