Yes, it will remove root and unlock. But it'll fail depending on the mods you've done to it.
To reroot/unlock, do the same as zvb

I'll remove xposed then.
I try using freegee to unlock but it said my version was too new and i needed a special code. After i got it , it said something about storing download mode somewhere in my phone.
Next i tried using the teeny bins , it unlocked but it wouldn't let my phone boot after i would install a rom?

Not quite sure I understand what you did.
I think you need to do a factory reset. But you might lose your SD.

Sounds like a bad flash / corrupted system. I am inclined to agree that you need to do a factory reset first, however you will more then likely lose your SD contents. A very good rule of thumb is to remember if you are flashing a ROM based from stock and you are one / stock it's self, you should be good. Same works for CM based ROM's going from one to another tends to do pretty well, it's the crossing of the guards so to speak that tends to cause issues.
Personally if I could get in my phone I would back up everything and flash stock rom > factory reset > root/unlock > wipe everything in recovery except internal (SD) and then flash ROM/Gapps.
GL!

So I failed to update , now it can't update it says im lastest version but im still in ZVB?

What's actually new in zvc, currently running vectus, and knowing it's not going to be updated, well at least not by venom, in reluctant to update unless there is something worth it... i would like this annoying pop up gone tho lol.

Just flash a factory ZVB image (unmodified other than root & unlocked) through recovery. Follow the steps in the linked post below to update to ZVC (works with TWRP recovery) without too much hassle (uses Rootkeeper & Freegee). No computer needed and -worked great! Took under 10 mins during work break!, No loss of apps / data / sdcard.

Not much new. Here's a post about the update. Your root, and Freegee and the teeny bins all work.
ZVC bin added. Please thank tommyjoesanders here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2437284
My upload was bad, so I won't have another one til tomorrow.
Changes found so far:
Roaming popup still keeps showing up after being checked
less than 10 character texts work now
Avoid poor wifi connections is still messed up.
tommyjoesanders - They sure did fix auto brightness sensors, wifi and signal locks on better and they updated most the pre installed apps from google.
The modem/radio seems to be the same. But tommyjoe says they made improvements in other ways.

I'm just happy to have the under 10 Char message fixed. Those rejections sucked.

I've tried this and i get an error trying to update.

Just a quick follow up (after updating and going back to root/unlock). The biggest change I've noticed with the update is the radio performance. They've definitely improved in that area. I especially notice this when indoors at work where I RARELY (as in almost never) got a 4G connection. Now I get a solid 3 bars indoors. Same with at home where my connection period was spotty (apparently my house sits in a gray zone). Which is why I always just used WiFi at home. But just to check, disabled WiFi and now I get a steady 3G connection (I never ever got a 4G connection at home so I wasn't expecting to now).

My led notifications dont work for any mseed calls emails texts nothing , and ive tried everything using different apps deleting apps and reinstalling them.. this is big thing for me being I cant have my volume on at work so having led lets me know I missed call or have a new email / text
Also I cant send or get mms.. called sprint no towers or any known issues , also pulled battery put back in still dont work
Apps get deleted from my home pages and its different apps each time ....
Once in a while it will try to make a emergency call

Are you interested in trouble shooting or are you to the point that you're set to jump back to ICS?
If you are interested in trying to figure out your issues; we'd need to know which FK23 you used to start. You said you were stock/unrooted so I'd assume you used the .tar file with Odin, but I don't want to assume.
Like third son, I use Fk23 as my dd and have, so far, had a great experience to my delight. I used the intial .tar with pc Odin.
I would start from scratch. Sounds like you got a flacky install.
I guess I can try again... I followed the youtube video from qbking77 so whatever the video used is what I used lol
I mean I like this update but to buggy for me
So ill give it one more try. Any other way to try it would be great

+1 to this.
OP - Try this link. (I'm am not saying it's better than _dan's, Mattix's, garwynns / nor am I saying unrooted is better than rooted. I'm saying this is the build that's my DD and has been great for me.)
Be advised to backup everything important from your phone prior. Read everything and take your time. I know you were busy but don't rush.
If you have any questions, I'm sure there are a ton of people willing to answer.
The Tar is complete (Rom/kernel/modem)

LED flashes blue for me when I get notifications
mms works instantly
gps is a near instant lock (unless I am in a known dead zone)
I got 16hr of battery yesterday with over 3h of screen time and still had 32% left in my battery before I plugged it in.
I had some problems using AGATs recovery. I did an initial install of the TAR (which erased my internal SD) then I flashed the one click and AGAT ( when they were first posted.and had some screen brightness issues) I tried a nandroid with the recovery and it nuked all my apps. I went back to the TAR (with ODIN) and have rooted stock now with no problems. Used Titanium backup to rid myself of the Sprintware. Waiting for source to droppatiently waiting :crying:waiting....
Don't give up on FK23 yet...once it is installed correctly it hits on all cylinders......

No, you don't have to reflash ICS. When you get home and if you have questions before hand, just ask.
Everything you mentioned works fine for me. Except apps disappearing from homepage, I got that too. Unless you move them to the internal sd it will keep happening. Hopefully that's fixed with FL04.. I have way too much apps and need as much on external as possible.

If you have the modem flashed already, don't worry about that one. Look on "about phone" to find out. The rooted one click will give you both kernel and rom. Are you familiar with how to do that? Not being a wise guy....just asking....

No data connection after flashing a new ROM? Look here for fix.

I experienced the problem of no data connection after flashing a new rom on my Optimus G. The phone needs to be reprogrammed, updating your PRL and Profile will NOT help. You must dial ##72786# this will start the handsfree activation and your phone will reboot a few times. It may take a few seconds in between steps of the activation and it will seem like nothing is happening. Just be patient and wait for everything to complete. When it is finished your phone's data connection will be working properly.

Some history,
I've been running Imperium and stockishv1 and v2 for a few days. I've made a couple backups along the way. About an hour ago I lost data. The phone works and makes calls, but my data is dead.
I've tried update profile and prl, and all I get is" Network error" I've tried this many times throughout all these steps.
I've restored backups, pre-Imperium and Stockishv1 with the same results.
I tried the procedure in this thread and still nothing.
Anybody have any other ideas? Would LGNPST restore the phones modem?

I killed the connection optimizer while I was at work because I can't use work's wifi and listen to my icecast station I setup.
This killed my data connection and immediately put my phone into roaming. I rebooted like three times and finally my data came back (i also updated the PRL and the Profile, not sure which fixed it but something did)
From the things you guys speak of, I would guess the same issue is at hand.
ALSO: Stock rooted rom (non-deodex pure stock with bloatware frozen with titanium)

Try the G2 thread, I'm sure if you post in the exact same section over there you might have better results. General answer is that it is probably APN settings. Find an app, enter them, set it, and reboot (might not need to reboot).

[Q] system status :custom

I put original firmware back on my phone and used Triangle Away. My count was reset to zero and it says original Samsung. Phone works great again after rough few weeks. However it still says "System Status:Custom" Is there a way now to change this back to normal in case I need warranty service? Thank you.

It doesn't matter. But if your phone is already on you should just do out through settings. You haven't rooted again right.

Go into phone official recovery by power, home, and lower volume key together and wipe cache (and data too I think). It will clean out custom recovery footprint. (Hint: you have to be unrooted to go in official recovery). Hope that helps.

Test: Downgrade radio to ZV9 from ZVB

I wanted to see if we could downgrade our radio from the JB version to the ZV9. I got it to boot, and then the hands-free activation showed up (First time I've ever seen that on this phone) and automatically upgraded the radio to JB again...dammit.
Anyway, here's the steps I took, so that maybe someone can get the ZV9 radio to work for JB.
LGNPST to ZV9
Installed Root, FreeeGee, put a ZVB TWRP backup on SD. (The restore I used was an IAJB1.1.0.- so stock basically)
Rebooted to TWRP, wiped cache, dalvic, factory reset, and system
Restored backup
Rebooted and hands-free activation kicked in as soon as I got reception.
My thought is that we CAN get this to work on JB if we get rid of hands-free activation. I did have reception for about 3 seconds.
Is hands free activation an apk somewhere? Maybe removing it might work (or not since I don't know anything about this stuff)

It is. But I can't remember what it showed.
Just tried it again, but this time with a backup of Imperium 201. Same thing happened, but I hit cancel this time and I still got updated to JB radio.
There's no way it had time to download and install a new radio. So now I'm thinking that somehow our radio is backed up in TWRP? Somewhere...somehow.
I'm not sure what else to try, and like I said it couldn't have installed a new radio that fast. My reception is not that great.
edit..update. Since I canceled the Handsfree update I thought I'd try to update profile, prl, and firmware. All 3 say "Authentication error" yet my phone still works. And my EFS info is all good. This is getting weird-er.
edit #2 After powering down and turning it on again I got Hands-free activation again. (Which is called Self Service apk?) I let it do its thing and still have Authentication error.
edit #3 Installed TheShadow1 ZVB radio.zip. And all is back to normal.
hands free activation has nothing to do with radio. it updates your data profiles and phone number/msid only.
after being on ZVB and flashing my ZV9 radio zip... the baseband says it stays the same.. so I'm assuming this is a cosmetic issue only.. and that the baseband will always say the same thing no matter which modem is really there.
Not sure there's any reason to downgrade your radio from ZVB to ZV9 other than testing "for science!"
Recently my phones reception is actually gotten worse. Yet when I go back and run a zv9 ROM, it seems better. Prime example for me is when I run xda app on zvb, the app locks up, like it loses reception.
On zv9, no issues.
Mind sharing your zv9 radio zip?
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
Hopefully you can figure this out, or just fix the zvb radios to work a little better.
I just decided to downgrade to ZV9 all together through LGNPST because to many things I didn't like about ZVB. Camera flash control is great again before it was unusable (camera is the main reason for getting the phone and the quad core), facebook integration wasn't there in ZVB, Media player didn't have equalizer any more. Just way to many things were cut out when they made ZVB for no reason...highly dissapointing, much happier now. On a side note it downloaded ZVB after I went back to ZV9 and now reminds me all the time that it's ready to install. Is there any way to delete that file and the one that automatically downloads it?
Lgota apk is one. Omadmclient apk might be another. But if I remember right that omadm one also might control our prl and profile. Loki and Adri would know for sure.
Edit. I rooted, unlocked with FreeGee, deleted LG?OTA apk, and accepted the update. It failed and no more notifications. Like you, I'm back to ZV9. Reception with ZVB was getting unbarable.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
I just had to have my bean. I couldn't get the ZV9 radio to work with it, without killing Wifi
So I went with a completly stock ZVB and the radio seems to be doing better. I think that the build prop mods I had, Imperium and IAJB, just won't work well in my area. I know my Epic 4G didn't tolerate them either. Just something to try for those having reception issues on ZVB.

xboxfanj. I know autoprime has it in a flashable zip. I'm on zvb right now, but it I need to I'll go back to zv9. Or if I can do something with the bin file I will.

First flash it, then su and do dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/modem of=/sdcard/modemzv9.img
Then send me that IMG.

IOn a side note it downloaded ZVB after I went back to ZV9 and now reminds me all the time that it's ready to install. Is there any way to delete that file and the one that automatically downloads it?

Not sure where the file is stored but you can definitely delete it. Here is how to stop the phone from nagging you to update:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2098477
Well I downloaded Autorun Manager from the Market, went into basic mode then disabled "Update Device" and seems to be working, no more reminders popping up all the time
Also now for some reason this go around on ZV9 System Tuner seems to be working great, I activate all core at all time ( like in ZVB ) and it is as smooth as I would say ZVB is. My phone is complete I believe...with a well working camera flash!
Any luck with this? The new radio had messed up texts for me. People get multiple texts when I'm in low signal. Never had that issue in ics

Phone keeps rebooting (even in safe mode)

So this is exactly what I did before the problem started happening. I was on version 7/15 and I went to the recovery and flashed the 6/10 version and cleared dalvik and cache and then fix permissions. When I booted up, it acted normal for a few seconds and then it started happening. It would start freezing and then get that and shut off. I flashed 7/15 again and the problem still occurred. I cleared ktweaker data too...
Please help, I didn't backup my room (it's on my pc and I'm on vacation) I'm using my brothers phone.
I had to wipe everything and start over. Flashing ROM and everything.

I would return it to full stock and take it to a T-Mobile store or call T-Mobile from where you are so that when you get home you will be able to return it right away

It's not the phone. It's ROM and kernel related.

I'm on stock ROM and yeah I do believe it's kernel related but how do I fix it? Do I flash the stock t-mobile kernel? If so can you please link me to it!
Update : I took out my SD card and rebooted and now it's working fine! (I'm on my phone) I also put the SD card back in and nothing happened! So good news I think!

I think it sounds exactly like what was happening to me. I will try to do what you did and remove my SD card next time it happens. I only seem to get that issue when im updating the kernel on Touchwiz ROMS, and on first boot it works ok for like 5 minutes and then the crazy lag, freezing then reboot loops start. From there every boot gets the freezing and lag within a minute of booting up and its either completely freezing up or rebooting itself over and over. The only way i figured i could get over it was doing a full wipe and re install my ROM and everything all over again on a clean install if i wanted to update the kernel. Definately going to try pulling the SD Card and see if that solves my issues next time it happens.

Did you debloat at all? Like delete system apps? I feel there are system level apps that i deleted and the ROM is trying to utilize them but it can't so it reboots. Cause if you look at the last_kmsg there aren't any kernel panics in it.

Yeah that's exactly what happened to me! When my phone would freeze, it would get extremely hot and just stay on the screen/or the screen would turn off and I couldn't turn it back on
Not sure what the SD card has to do with anything but I removed it before I booted back up! If it happens again to you, then good luck I hope it fixes it!

I only disabled them, but that was a long time ago
I even disabled ktweaker last night and cleared the data to see if it would work and it didn't, so I'm not exactly sure what made it reboot
