[Q] Non AT&T Boot Animation + Boot Sound - LG Optimus G Pro

I'm looking for the Non AT&T or Non Branded Boot Animation. I'm coming from a Galaxy S4 and on that phone you can replace the boot animation and boot sound from the Intl Non Branded S4 Boot Animation. Looking for this since I'm not going to be using the phone with AT&T. Already remove all the AT&T apps just need this. Thanks in Advance.

Is there a way to disable the sound played at bootup and when the device is turned off ?

Here is where you find the boot up and power down sounds...I've changed them and disabled them. To disable I make a copy of them and store them on my SD CARD and delete the original.. so if I want to revert back to stock I have them...

You don't have to delete or move them, just change the .ogg to .bak

[Q] Custom Boot Animations on Epic?

Is it at all possible to install custom boot animations without having them already packaged in a ROM? I am tired of the blue flashing galaxy logo!
anybody???
I think there's a dev here that released a rom where he changed the boot, sound and ending splash animation with the one from i9000 galaxy s. You might want to check the thread and ask him how to make changes. Maybe once this info is out maybe it will get ball rolling to get custom boot and ending animations.
I saw an app on the market called boot animation changer or something to thateffect but I've never used it or know how for that matter

Its no secret really just some deleting, copying, and pasting from the i9000 rom to his. The problem i the boot animations are in sammy's special format.

Until we get a new rom/kernel that supports other, or standard, boot ani's we're stuck with boot animations that are in the Samsung proprietary format. If/when cm6 gets ported to the galaxy it'll be as easy as uploading any bootanimation.zip to the right place.
Heroic epic rom has custom boot animation support!
Sent from my Epic 4G
Heroic Epic is the best. Thank you for supporting custom boot animations Mammon88!!
yeah the kernel just needs to support looking for "bootanimation.zip" instead of sammys crap. once mammon throws down with his magic, everyone will get some love!
Yeah heroic epic rom works great and with root explorer all you have to do is get any bootanimation.zip that 800x480 on your sd card and then copy with root explorer to your /data/local folder and next time you boot you'll see your boot animation. You can get some boot animations from the evo thread!
ok so i just figured out how to root my epic POS last night and OBVIOUSLY lack the exp you guys have...i have cwm5.? and a one click root now...but i read somewhere that cwm makes you recovery screen green, but mine is still blue. i desperately want to switch around the theme and **** but need instruction...PLZ HELP! LOL if you guys could gtalk me thru it id appreciate [email protected]
If you have clockworkmod then, turn the phone off. When the phone is off, reboot holding down camera +vol down + power all at the same time. That will take you into the clockworkmod recovery.

Boot/shutdown animation & music from international galaxy s2 and shutdown

I managed to unzip an I9100 international rom to get the bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg i installed them in /system/media they work, Just wanted to let everyone know who dislikes the tmo animations. I did not do the shut.qmg but i did delete shut.apk & the video folder in /system/media/video to have a true aosp feel
Hope you guys enjoy this as this is my first post ever just want to get involved
Would you be able to upload it? I would appreciate it, as I really want to replace the T-Mobile boot animation.
Sorry
Im dumb here you go
damn the animation is nice with the S, how to get rid of the t-mobile start up music ?
Will this work for juggernaut? If not can you make one?

Can the OP post the shut down and sounds from the international? This boot up screen is nice. Thanks.
this might be a noob question but why can't i paste the new files in the system/media folder using root explorer it keeps telling me system files are read only ? what am i doing wrong
or how do you go about installing it thanks in advanced
Figured it out had to click the r/w on the top to switch it to re-writable pretty dumb but just in case any1 goes thru the same mistake lol

Deebo took your bike too?
Heres the shutdown qmg
My bad guys/gals here it is
After trying the ones posted, these are much better than the t-mobile ones. Why do carriers always feel the need to change something? Leave it the way the manufacture made it.
T-mobile is getting bad for bloat too.
Thanks, I really didn't like the boot animations on Juggernaut 2.0. This really did the trick (kept it silent, though).

I'm a bit of a newb so I just want to know if I did this correctly.
When I turn on my phone I get: Samsung logo, the Tmo screen with loading bar and then finally the SGS2's boot up animation.
Is this how it should be?

That's how it is for me too. I think that's how it is for everybody.
Thanks everyone
/system/media/video/shutdown/shutdown.qmg
/system/etc/PowerOn.wav
/system/media/audio/ui/poweroff.wav
the locations works, but i found it weird the original files were not there, so it made me wonder where are the actual files from Tmo customizations?
on the hand, i forgot the location for the bootanimation.zip
was it /system/media/bootanimation.zip ???
because that did not work, it still shows the Tmo customized boot animation

Allgamer, if I'm not wrong our phone doesn't work with boot.animation.zip. You have to unzip and manually copy and paste bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg to system/media.

thank you for pointing that out... that's what happens when you flash too much Custom ROMs, you get used to all the easy and simple stuff and forgets the stock methods
What's the default boot/shutdown animations and sounds for the telus one or whatever one you have Allgamer? Are they the stock international ones?

[Q] Stock Galaxy Ace start up logo

My Galaxy Ace uses
bootsamsungloop.qmg
bootsamsung.qmg
I need the stock files to replace the O2 ones that are on my phone.
I also need the shutdown logos and a bit of help where to find those to replace them with the stock ones.
Bootanimation.zip never worked for me. I simply copy it from my SD card to system/media on the phone and reboot. My file manager recognizes that I have root access on my phone so i am prompted if I want to use RW access and accept.
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks

I had already deleted the old shutdownq.qmg file and the phone was shutting down with a blank logo and no sound. I copied the extracted shutdown.qmg to the location you said, which is the same location i originally deleted the file from but it is still shutting down with a blank logo, even though I tried it a few times .. any idea?
Thanks!

my bad!! they totally work... not sure what happened the first try.
Where can I also find the stock audio? Mine has been replaced by my carrier.
I know that this thread is old but, right now, I'm trying to change my Movistar startup animation. I've changed the shutdown.qmg and it's ok. The problem is that, after changing bootsamsung and bootsamsungloop, the device starts up well but the anim is like a corrupted video, with squares and lines with vivid colours.
Has another one got this? Are the originals files for a S5830i-2.3.6?

[Request]Stock AT&T bootanimation

Playing around with stock the past few hours. flashed ktoonz newest kernel and upon boot my AT&T bootanimation was replaced with the android default animation. would anyone happen to have the AT&T animation? or point me in a direction where i could get it. tryed google but only came up with htc one x AT&T animation which was way off...thanks for any help

I'm struggling to imagine anyone wanting that boot animation.
Getting rid of the incredibly irritating AT&T startup sound is one of my main motivations for running a custom ROM.
Good luck, though.

Don't need a custom ROM just to get rid of the bootup sound; only need to be rooted so you can delete /system/audio/ui/PowerOn.ogg

How to install custom boot animations?

I looked on YouTube on how to install custom animations and installed one myself but it didn't work when I did. Is it different for Samsung devices? Thanks!

Was it a zip animation? If so then it won't work.
I belive Samsung use qmg files for animations. It's the same presses but different type of files

Don't have a video but I do know the steps.
1) First get your animation file or files, for tab S it's qmg. Try to get one with the same resolution as your tablet, it would look better.
2) go into system/media and paste your animation files or file.
3) reboot and watch the magic
Not much more to it. If nothing pops out at reboot then it wasn't placed property. Just back up the original qmg files before u do this. Not sure if you can get boot loop because of this but sure hope not
Same presses for most Galaxy phones not sure about 5, I don't own it.
Gosh yeah I saw those qmg files. One was like a boot up and one was like a shutdown file. I don't know of I'm gonna risk it. I heard if it doesn't work you will either get the same boot up or just get a black one.
this will help you out
