Prevention Information Messages - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I was able to root the N3 using Chainfire's CF-Auto-Root, and ran Titanium Backup to restore all my apps (ported over from my soon to be retired Relay 4G). Titanium reports that it has root, and completes the restore process with no issues, but when I try to run almost any app that was restored, I get a force close and a notification:
Prevention Information
An application has been forced to stop for an unauthorized attempt to access system in your device
I tried to restore individual apps, and I am getting the same error. I used the same process int he past to restore apps on Galaxy Nexus, N7, the Relay I am replacing and several other devices, and never had any issue. I assume this is related to Knox or SELinux (which is set to 'Enforcing' with no way to change the setting), but I was unable to figure out a way to turn this security check off. Any ideas?

Knox. I froze it, but it still doesn't work for me. I just don't receive those notifications when restoring. Apps are still force closing on me.

Same problem than you guys, think we have to wait for a patch to remove this.

When I replied to this post, I hadn't gotten the message yet:

This seems to be a problem a lot of people are having know. No one can pin point the cause however. Hitting the ok button only brings you to the App manager. It doesn't tell you what's causing the error.

Next time it happens, do a logcat (before the buffer scrolls away), and you'll probably find the info you're looking for.

Spam/Virus alert! Bouncer not picking this up!

So im having issues with my android market... Apparently when i select "My Apps", it doesnt recognize that i have any apps loaded. So i downloaded "MARKET FIZ-ROOTED" by Potente. This app added 3 apps that can not be removed! I even tried reflashing new roms with no luck. The added apps are "GWANG-JU SUBWAY"by Hyun min cho, "KAROGES" by Creative factory and "Lovely Sky live wallpaper" by Creative factory. I reported all 4 apps to Googles reporting link. Funny thing is when you try to warn people on the ratings tab, it never shows up in ratings! I need some ideas to get me out of this mess. Im afraid of using my phone for any sensitive information for now.
Try this. Format your internal SD card and external from Astros or something similar. Then in recovery wipe everything and flash "Calkulin's format all zip". Then flash a fresh ROM.
Sent from self nominated "B" team member's phone.
Google has the ability to remotely remove apps from a persons phone if I recall correctly. I hope that they remove them for you upon your report of them being malicious apps.

I sure hope so. I wonder how an app can block my rating and quote? I didnt think that was possible.

You might even try to contact Google, and explain what all is going on, and ask them to assist you in removal of the apps.

This single app is the culprit. This app can be deleted but the other 3 cannot.
Hopefully google will get back to me.
Common sense is still the best antivirus.
Why would you even install that app? Look at the reviews. There's 8 and half of them are bad. It doesn't even claim to fix the problem that you are describing.
Did you even ask xda for help before installing the app?
Did OP try using titanium backup to force remove offending apps? Needs root iirc. They'll likely be listed as system apps.

Gwan ju has the same system name as com.samsung, thatswhy it shows up in your apps but its not actually installed. Google will have to remove it from the market or you have to uninstall com.samsung to get rid of the app appearing in your downloads.
If you uninstall com.samsung you will not be able to update your profile or PRL, but besides that there are no other side effects.

Reboot your phone and see if it still is happening (I'm assuming you've already done that).
After a bit more research, the original error is relatively common and has a simple solution (see post #4. All you have to do is remove your google account (in settings), then open the play store (it'll give you errors about no account on the phone). Then you can go back and re-add your account. This should clear the original error code.
The second error code probably is due to the fact that you're on 3G. According to other users, sometimes the play store has connectivity issues over 3G (especially is the service is spotty). And apparently it's a known issue on the entire continent of Australia (look at "Downloading, installing and updating apps" and "[#7041453] Australian users: errors 927 and 495"). Others have reported that this error goes away when connected to wifi.
Hope this helps.

How to enable KNOX on Tab S ?

Hi all, I just swapped my Tab pro with Tab S, but on the Tab S, I couldn't find the app, searching on Samsung apps doesn't help, google doesn't help either unless I missed it, hence I am asking here.
Thanks
Try going to Settings> applications> all. There is a Knox installation wizard there.

Hi
I have already tried that, and there isn't any knox in there. Also tried the knox apk posted somewhere in this forum and i doesn't work. I think I will be returning mine and get the Tab Pro back.
Odd, it doesn't show up on my app drawer but in settings when I slide all the way over it does. If you need Knox and can't find it, going back to the TabPRO is best for you.

Yup, I have returned the Tab S and got a Tab Pro which is faster IMO, and has less bloat.
Looks like Samsung has pulled the plug on Knox.
I too am unable to install/activate Knox on my Tab S. Under Settings>Applications>Application manager> ALL I see KNOX 0.00B, Knox Notification Manager 28.00KB and KNOX SetupWizardClient 44.00KB but can find no way to activate/run them.
So no one else has this option? or it just doesn't do anything?

No matter what I did, nothing worked, I couldn't even find it in Administrator tab, but it is in Apps... so it looks like Samsung did not include the container, and there is a 6 month trial on Samsung website. I already returned my Tab S and got another Tab pro 8.4. I am not planning to root this device, until maybe it becomes a necessity.

You need to enable it from the KNOX EMM Admin Portal. Then Add Device and it will download an installation app and allow you to install KNOX EMM.
KNOX is available on Galaxy Tab S
There is an app on Google Playstore by SAMSUNG by the name
"Samsung My KNOX"
DOWNLOAD it and you will have your secret vault.

If you go in to system updates through the settings and check for the update, you have 3 options, No Thanks, Download Later, and Download Now.
If you click No Thanks, the alert goes away. It will even state in the system update app that the last update (on June 30th, 2105) failed.
Download later allows you to choose a time that better suits you.
And of course Download Now, starts the process right now.
Hope this helps.

Yes, waiting to d/load it later today.
From Droid-Life:
An update is rolling out for the LG G4 on Verizon, bringing a few features to owners, but nothing all that special. The software version is labeled as VS98611A.
Included is an enhanced Folio display while a call is taking place, an updated consistency for displaying contacts and non-contacts in the Dialer app, and an enhanced Advanced Calling feature. That’s it.

Its your keyboard-app. I bet you are using TouchPal.
It was the same for me. Touchpal is one of the greatest keyboard-apps IMHO, but lately they changed in the wrong direction with unwanted ads like 'Daily Summary' or 'Charging Lock Screen' or 'AppLock'.
I uninstalled it because of that.
Or the ES File Explorer app that recently admitted to presenting Ads in the lock screen.

Just curious because I haven't read up on what apps caused this annoying problem but who kept the photo editor app installed?
I liked that app and it really sucks t nuts that I had to uninstall it.
If I remember correctly, there was an option to simply turn off that lock screen adware, right?
But mainly, who kept the app(s) causing this issue? It'd be nice to know if anyone did and if this was a serious issue (which I doubt) or should i have read this entire thread plus the article before posting this?
