Fix for titanium restore issues - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Found on the international side, worked for me, but my buddy deeznutz already told me and I wasn't paying attention. Sorry Deez!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46026078
For those that don't want to read... restore your apps and then open terminal command and type the following:
su
restorecon -r -v /data/data
This has to be done after each restore to stop force closes.

Dude. Thank you so much.
For anyone worried, "each restore" doesn't mean "each app."

Omfg yes. I thought I had to rearrange my apps again.

Hah. I've had to deal with SELinux issues like this for years while running desktop linux, and even disabled it in the early days, but now that it's matured I barely noticed that it's there anymore (in "ENFORCING" mode). And now, SELinux comes to android, and the headaches return. I thought SELinux was supposed to remain in PASSIVE mode for a while longer before being toggled on? Or maybe that was just a Cyanogenmod decision and Samsung enabled it earlier for their KNOX stuff.
I don't have my phone yet; would someone mind posting the terminal output of running "sestatus" and "ls -lZ /" here? Thanks.

I'll try when I get home from work tonight if nobody else does

ro.product.model=GT-I9300
Do the same with line ro.product.device

For the purpose of disclosure on what was modified, and for those that wish to make the changes manually, you can use apktool to decode the apk, then edit smali/com/vlingo/sdk/internal/deviceinfo/PhoneInfo.smali and modify:
"method public getModel()" and "method public getDeviceID()". Right before the return at the bottom of each function, put: const-string v1, "GT-I9300" (replace v1 with the value the return uses, v0 for getModel, v1 for getDeviceID.

Thanks for posting this... I'm wondering a couple of things:
- why did it work for a good 13 or 14 hours with no problem, through a few reboots, and never once give a network error -- and then suddenly start showing this, to me and to several other folks round the same time?
- if I modify build.prop as described, what's the potential impact on other operations on my Galaxy Nexus? Will other software get screwed up, thinking it's on a phone that's different than what it's really on?
Thinking about the first question brings me back to my earlier speculation that perhaps Samsung or Vlingo was filtering communication based on the S Voice unique ID -- but that was pretty much disproved. Now I'm wondering whether Vlingo is filtering traffic for this app based on device type, and is restricting it - for the moment - to S3 devices...

So far, I've gone thru all of the apps on my device and haven't had any FC's. I'm currently downloading a few from market to see if there's any issues with that.
Hopefully, Sammie doesn't start filtering based on something else.

If you are getting FCs after making the the build.prop changes and rebooting just reinstall the apk and that should fix everything.

System ui crash

This has become really annoying. First I was getting it with cna so I switched to pa now I'm getting it here as well. I've done clean flashes I've went completely stock and back and still getting it on both cna and pa. Not sure if its happening in other ROMs and don't really feel like testing others because I don't want to us anything other than these two ROMs.
Here is a screen shot

Yea I know. But I have no idea how to capture a log cat on this. Its completely random. Happens only about once a day. I can't keep my phone connected to a computer all day in hopes of capturing this. I work too much. It doesn't prevent me from using the phone. Its only down for a few seconds then comes back and is fine till the next day

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Some suggested that I had a memory problem. So I checked my running processes and amount of memory available and this is shocking.
As you can see I don't have an extreme amount of apps running. Only a few besides from the system apps. My memory free sometimes gets below 100 and I'll have nothing running. I'll close Facebook and other random apps but it still decreases till the system UI crashes. This is not normal. Out of all my devices this is the only one I have this problem with. What could be the issue?
Edit: downloaded memory manager from the play store and after killing every task then checking free memory it was at 32%. I then took a shower and checked again and it was back down to 14%. Didn't touch the phone and checked running task and the only thing running that was an app I downloaded was Facebook. I uninstalled that app and closed everything again. Back to around 32%. Drove to work and when I got here I'm back down to around 14%...

I wasn't doing much today, now that the semester is over. So I felt like experimenting with our great phone. I think we all notice that the international models offer MUCH more currently active support. So I wanted to find out how much some of the mods and such were compatible. I flashed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2721839, and surprisingly, so far, everything is working out ok. I would highly advise to backup a current nandroid just in case. Obviously this isnt my work, nor am I publishing this mod as in a specific ROM other than the creators. Completely on my time and my risk.
So tell me what you guys think.
