PROCEDURE HOW TO INSTALL NEW FIRMWARE 4.2.1 ON ZP810
How to upgrade with new firmware Zopo Zp810
I give you the procedure more 'easy to install and the new Rom that the recovery of CWM!
1) Unzip the firmware file to a folder eg. zp800 firmware v 4.2.1
2) Copy recovery.img and replace the files in the folder and the file lk.bin rom

3) Launch new Flashtool vers quad_core_exe_v3.1304 .0.119 and select all the files (Tick all) and flash all with the download button!
4) Then copy the sd card in a Superuser:

5) Enter mode 'recovery of CWM and select superuser ....
The game 'that you now have new rights of Roma and Root!
This in my opinion seems to be the procedure most 'fast!
THIS IS NEW PROCEDURE HOW TO ROOT and HOW upgrade the ZP810 with Firmware 4.2 Europe and together Right Root
And also 2.46 gb of space on the phone.
I give you the procedure more 'easy to install and the new Rom that the recovery of CWM!

NEW FIRMWARE 4.2.1 EUROPE VERSION 13.04.25:

2) Copy all the files in the follow folder in the folder of the firmware (describe up)
and replace ALL the files in that rom's folder.

3) Launch new Flashtool vers quad_core_exe_v3.1304 .0.119 and select all the files (Tick all) and flash all with firmware upgrade button!
You're done! Now you have the new Rom with Root rights and also 2.46 gb of space on the phone.!
This ,in my opinion seems one other to be the procedure most 'fast!
PROCEDURE HOW TO ROOT ZP810 ONLY ROM 4.1.(OLD)
1)-Download the following package:

2)-Copy the following package on the SD card that is inside the file that you downloaded earlier:

PROCEDURE
3) - Turn off the phone
4) - Install the drivers on the first page of the Forum for the recognition of the same!
5) - Not accedendere the phone .. NEVER connect it to a usb mail and try to see if it 'was recognized! (always phone in the off position)
6)-Launch flashtool.exe which is located inside the downloaded file.rar
7)-Select Menu 'file ---> open scatter loading file and go to select the file you scatter that is the folder!
8) At this point the program Flashtool clear voice only preloader and must remain selected only the voice of Recovery!
(you should always have had the phone off not connected)
9) Now from Flashtool click the Download button and go to connect the usb cable to the phone
10) you should see in a blink of an eye you are installing on the phone recovery (cwm).
11) just made everything close ... unplug the USB cable and remove the battery for a moment ......
12) Reconnect the battery and turn on the phone by holding down the POWER button + VOLUME button +
13) You should be entered in the Menu 'CWM Recovery
14) go to select zip file and select superuser!
15) Once done reboot and you will see that you have THE ROOT!
That 's it ... make operations easy!
DO NOT rush!

Hi all, Thanks Ghost 45 for opening this post. I've just ordered ZP810 and I hope in more updates like the others models of Zopophone. About 8 Mpx camera I knew that it is a omnivision branded CMOS (http://www.ovt.com/), but I also knew that this camera does not have the macro mode. I do not know if this is a hardware or software limit. You know something more about it?

I think the hardware in this phone is exactly the same to this other one except the size of the screen and sd included that is 8gB instead of 4

The root file is a zip one that I think should be installed from recovery, but I don't know if this phone has recovery menu implemented.
CAUTION: i have downloaded both firmwares and they are different, starting with the boot image, so although it may be useful for developers, I think IT SHOULD NOT BE USED IN ZOPO 810 OR ANY OF ITS CLONES
Anyway, if you see the videos on youtube for this mobile, the last app in the apps drawer is a green android robot named in chinese that I am quite sure is a super user app, so I guess it comes pre rooted

Linfocita what do you meen camera modes??the minimal distance with best focus is around 5-6 cm..
kuroyume_cl its not rooted yet..yes it has play store and the camera i think its great!!the resolution of the photos i took are 4096*3072..
friedrich420 for the gps....the gps is fantastic!!!i did not expected so good results...with a-gps and wifi closed it locked in 10-15 seconds 12/12 satelites!!i think its really good..
i ll try for pictures tomorow..

CAUTION: USE THIS ROM AS YOUR OWN RISK.......Be sure you have the official rom in case it is not working for you. It appears that even though you have the same tablet Reference, depending on when you buy it, hardware might be a bit different and most likely you will take the risk of having a unusable Touch screen or wifi...

If anyone is interrested in J.B.4.2.2 for Memup SlidePad 704 CET (Only CET, I did not test on 704 CE.
I can post the rom image created... (I will post it later on tonight)

Content of the ROM
- Rom basically design for Manta13
- Your device will have MID13 as name (No more CET704)
- Jelly Bean 4.2.2
- Fast rom (Menu and all are way faster than 4.1.1 original firmware)
- CWM mod recovery working out of the box
- Root device with Play store.
This ROM come as east country language first, you need to go to setting icon, the language (Icon with a White A letter) and the first option will be language, select yours.
to check you table model, look on the back of the table, even if on the back it says 704CE, you need to look at the white sticker that will say if it is a CE or CET.
As usual, to flash the image, go to boot loader and use livesuite 1.7.
Procedure on the SP704CET with livesuit:
- completly turn off the tablet, unplug cable
- start livesuite and select the downloaded image file
- keep the VOL- button pressed and plug the usb cable
- without releasing the VOL- button press the Power button 6 times.
- You should hear windows sound saying a USB device has been plugged
- if windows request it, install the driver from Livesuitefolder\usbdriver
- Livesuite should automatically start the flashing process.
- when prompted, "Format device" press YEs. (It might take a minute)
- When it s 100% you tablet should reboot.

I managed to create an other rom:

Linked removed, this rom is bogus. Use the 1st one, i will try to update it again when i get back
Same version as the previous one with:
- Change to build.prop to match the tablet name 704CET (previous rom was detected as MANTA MID13, from the originial rom)
- Modified boot animation
- added some JellyBam tweak and application (if needed you can installed them from the apk files located in /system/app)
- Add Jellybam static and dynamic wall paper
- other small modifications
Let me know if you like it.
Small hick, you will need to reinstall firefox, the version I add to the rom is not working after first boot
go to /system/app and install jellybam launcher etc...
I hope you will like it, this is only my second rom cooking

CWM not working in the new model send from factort a week ago.

Arf, did you do the "format mode" in live suit? If not try it, latest rom may have a different nand mapping.

2 thing comes to my mind. First, try to restore with the original firmware first, make sure it, works. Then try to reapply the rom ( use the first one i post, i found out the second one is bogus and my tablet is restarting by herself from time to time.
From the screen shot it looks like your tablet doesnot have same nand mapping as mine. Try the first rom and letmme know. Cheers

You can read the first post of this thread, basically no problem, you can do it whenever as you have to switch to Bootloader mode.
It will replace your current rom and delete everything you have on the tablet.

you can use the Faaast JB custom rom with the correct driver
Hi, I cannot test this rom on 704CE as I do not have this tablet anymore. Also, this rom is for 704 CET so it will not work on CE. This is a driver issue... so the rom should install fine but you might have no TOuchscreen or no Wifi.....
If you know about replacing a driver in Android, you might want to try it (make sure you have the original rom just in case)
I manage to do this driver thing on my 704 CET tablet and it works well. you can help yourself with this thread:

you can even use this rom (Fast jelly bean custom rom) and download the needed driver... (For your information, I have tested this fast JB rom on my 704 CET with the appropriate driver and it works fine, and it is super fast) . If you want to know the driver use on your tablet, run a adb shell and type lsmod (You will have a list of loaded/used driver.)
My advice, if you dont know how to use adb command, do not try it.

I saw that in emui.com the B706 (4.4 / EMUI 3.0) version of P6-U06 firmware is released! It's under developer section, but I think soon it will be in stable section. But it doesent matter - if you want to try - go and try it! I'm just not sure which one is international release, but I guess it's the Unicom. Can someone confirm that?

It has all languages included - I mean all that B512 have. And alos I was on B512 and I have sucsessfuly upgrade to B706.
Doesen't include Google Apps, but it can be installed.

How do you install Gapps? through TWRP? I think I must return to stock recovery to install this ROM and chang again to TWRP to install gapps...

You must go in Huawei App Center , search for Google Play and install it. After that search for google play services and install them too. But there is another annoying thing - there is no google contact sync. To get this and the posibility to save contacts directly in google you must install google contact sync, which can be found again in Huaei App Center. When you write google, there it shows a picture / banner with google applications - click on it and it will take you to page with all google apps. There you must search for the app with the picture of blue/white buisnesscard. This is google contact sync. Install it and it will be ok again!
Another stupid thing is that weather is taking info from weather.com.cn and on current locations it show my city name with chinees symbols... But this is the chineese version...
Please, if you know tell me how to downgrade from B706 back to B512? I've tried to put B512 local update files in dload and push local update but it says it's FAILED and I can't retur to B512. I've just wanted to try this version but it's still developers and it's chineese... I want but it back when it's international official... Can I go back to B512?

(this doesnt allow me to post URLs yet)
This post is in spanish but it's easy to follow. You need TWRP by the way.
if you don't want to try B704 by TWRP you can return to B512 easy...
The only trouble i found in B704 is mobile data, I had to configure APN manually (search in google how to configure it) I read that this trouble isn't for all countries, so maybe you'll be OK.
There are 3 files you have to download: ROM - SD fix - GAPPS and install them at once through TWRP. Let me know if you try it. I'm on this ROM since yesterday and I haven't complains (only the APN trobule), I have disabled some apps in Chinese and that's all, everithing it's OK. Google contact sync OK.
I had B513 before and made a backup of apps and configuration before change the ROM, maybe it helped a lot.

You need to install TWRP recovery, and download a TWRP ROM B512 and save into your SD card, the steps are easy:
- Wipe [system, data, dalvik-cache, cache, custom storage]
- Install (look for your SD card and select the .zip of B512)
- Reboot system
That's all... There's a Thread about how to install TWRP. After that you just need to find a B512 ROM for TWRP.

The firmware is chinese and contains some chinese apps but you can set the global language to english or whatever you like and most of the system will be up to the chosen language.

Has anyone installed this from b635 yet?
Update, managed to update fine from b635. Didn't reset and I have all Google apps, including contact sync!

Well... I gave it a go. Easy to install with no problems. Works fine, but even if I choose English language there are a lot of Chinese things in there.
I did't notice any difference in speed. Maybe in Antutu benchmarks (but I forgot to run it).
Finally I restored my previews backup only because of the Chinese that I cannot understand

To be honest it's really simple and I did not found any problem to install the custom rom.
Unfortunately - as already noticed by freco - still there's a lot of Chinese stuff (probably bloatware for the largest part). More importantly the virtual keyboard it quite different as it includes (obviously) Chinese I was really in trouble to use it....
After a couple of hours, I restored the recovery backup... and I'm waiting for lollipop update

I can not confirm your problems unfortunately. The Chinese programs can all be deleted. When the keyboard is Google doing. Also works without hesitation. Have the Mate switched to English, also because there is no Chinese characters.

Yes. My mate is LT09 and I confirm you can install it whithout problem.

Question: will gravitybox work with this ROM? Xposed modules can't override the stock theme on the stock ROM at all. If Xposed modules like gravitybox work well then I'll definitely install this ROM when I get a chance

I'm looking for the best combination of some key functionality:
Stability
Camera (activate/snap with button as on stock ROM), is this possible out of stock ROM at all?
BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) support but I guess that it is supported in newer ROM versions? Hardware should support it.
Most amount of memory/space available for apps, more than stock ROM possible?
Has to be Android 4.3 at least
Any suggestions of a good ROM which fulfills the above?

1. Choose version 6, it has more updates.
2. Nope, it doesn't apply to version 5.
3. You wouldn't find a complete guide in one place, but I can give You pointers here which will lead You to correct searches.
Rooting : use towelroot app. Not available on playstore, search for "towelroot by geohot". It will root Your phone.
Backup TA partition: backup Your TA partition using tool here.
Unlock bootloader : Link.
Then try following the guide from respective ROM thread to flash the ROM!

I am also in the exact same situation, before I start though I was wondering if there is a way to "easily" back up and restore sms messages & whatsapp messages (along with pictures, though I can copy all the pictures easily on the PC and restore them - but I am unsure if this places them back in the correct order etc) - the rest should be easy to backup and restore just not sure about these 2

You can backup Your sms using this app, I use it and it is the best so far. For WhatsApp, backup using the in app backup and copy the WhatsApp folder from internal storage of phone to PC. Then after flashing the new ROM, copy the WhatsApp folder back to internal storage, install WhatsApp and it will automatically restore it.
And yes, nAOSP 6.0 is still the preferred ROM as it is stable as of now and is receiving constant update. If You want extremely stable but above 4.3.1 ROM, then I would suggest last updated version of Carbon ROM(4.4.4). It is of KitKat version, but has many features and doesn't require re-partitioning of device.
