How to remove nav Bar? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Hello! I have installed the ReVolt ROM and I can't hide the navigation bar. It works on other roms but not on this one for some reason. Can someone help me? Unfortunately I can't post on that thread. Or can someone tel me why I would want something like that to take up screen space when I have a physical button and two touch sensitive buttons that do the exact same thing? Thank you!

IIRC Revolt was an all in one rom, so because of that, you should have Paranoid Preferences and I think it was Interface>Nav Bar>slide it down to 0%. Sorry if I wasn't very clear!

[Q] Status bar behavior, AOKP 4.2.1

Hi,
when i pull down the status bar in AOKP MR1 (4.2.1) i see the quick settings panel if there are no notifications active, and not, as in stock 4.2, the notification drawer(or panel, don't know how to call it).
I'd like to have the stock behavior, so that i can pull down the status bar and ALWAYS see the notification drawer. Is it possible with a simple method? I tried looking in the settings but didn't find any option for this.
Thank you.

You will have to post this on the developers thread. You will not find an answer here most likely. I hope they can help you there!
go in rom control or status bar toggles and make sure you have some toggles enabled then they should show up, hope this helps

Thank you, but the point is I just want the status bar to show me either the notification panel OR the toggles panel when i pull it down (i'd rather to have always the notification panel). It's a bit confusing that you don't know what's going to be shown when you pull it down..

Eh, even though I'm quite flashaholic and spend a lot of time reading on xda, i seldomly post, and unfortunately i still have to reach the 10 posts limit to be able to post in dev threads.
On the other hand, I'm the living proof that xda search button actually works

You should try nova launcher. You can set it to open the taskbar when you swipe down on the home screen.

Curious about issue on the P6 !

Hello all- I am in the market for a new mobile and the P6 is carried by my local carrier and played with it today and must say I love it.
My only very small gripe is with the navigation bar on the bottom of the screen, I am not crazy about it but it is a minor issue, anyway I have seen photos of the P6 and some have the navigation bar and some do not !
Is this perhaps a firmware option or is there some way to make it appear/disappear ?
Any information would be appreciated !!!
Cheers, LL13- :victory:

Depends on firmware
It depends on firmware, from about 107 (I think) that little icon is no longer on the navigation bar, I can also confirm this with Firmware version 111.
But if you check this thread and follow it, you can remove the bar at the bottom.

Dear, it does not depend on firmware. This feature is present in all firmwares but is just hidden (dont know the reason )
You can enable it with a little trick, easier method by following this simple procedure in link :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2453926

Navigation bar

Been loving the Nexus 7 from the day i got it, but only one thing bothers me and that is the navigation bar.
Whie in portrait mode there's nothing wrong with it,m but once you are in landscape mode the bar moves to the bottom half of the screen.
Is there any mod available to make the nav bar go to the sides in landscape mode (like phones do)?
Been trying multiple roms and apps but none seem to have this feature.
Anyone knows a way to make this happen?
No one knows something that can help me?

GravityBox has an option to force the navbar to the bottom on landscape mode (obv. for phones). Seems like a request to the dev could yield the opposite option for tablets.

Possible to edit on screen buttons?

So just about any device I've had in the past there were mods to change the on screen home buttons around or even the device soft keys next to the home buttons.
Since we have root now and a TWRP stable enough to flash things.. are there any devs that would be interested in looking into switching the buttons around. I'd like to switch the back button and the recent app buttons with each other.
Wonder if this is an easy thing that can be flashed as just a separate mod?

Check in the mods section. There's a mod that enables nav bar tuner in system ui tuner.

I don't see anything in there about remapping the on screen buttons. Maybe I missed it
The nav bar tuner let's you move them around. Which is enabled by that mod.

[Q] Back button remover?

Hello,
I am just wondering if there is an option available, that would hide the back button while using the P (Pill) navigation on the Pie.. I'm asking mostly because of cosmetic standpoint.. For apps like Nova Launcher etc.. I love the functionality of the Pill, but because the back button always there, my OCD won't let me use anything else than stock launcher.
By the way, I saw the feature in some Pixel 3 XL ROM, on their forum (at least I think I did saw it..) That enables the Pill to swipe right to go back (as it should be by default by Google) If anyone has any idea or suggestions I would really appreciate it.
Maybe installing Nova Launcher as a system app would work?
I use custom navigation bar app to hide the nav bar all together and have it set up to only pop up when I swipe up on the navbar area. It then goes away a few seconds later.

I'm not sure if you can get rid of the back button but why don't you give the Fluid Navigation Gesture app a try. By using it you can completely get rid of the navigation bar and use only swipes from the bottom and/or edge of the screen to navigate. You can also set up all the actions you want to be present when you swipe up or swipe up and hold etc... Give it a try, a very useful app. ??
Thanks, I will try it!

My system is rooted and FNG has root access granted, but I think it should work without root as well. Give it a try. ?
Look at my screenshot. I have 2 back buttons with the pill. The symitry helps my cdo and having 2 back buttons is convenient.
If i remember correctly, it's done through adb shell. Let me try and find the thread...
Edit: this is the thread i used to give me the 2 back buttons.
