32GB vs 64GB internal storage - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

OK, just to be clear, this poll/thread is talking about:
INTERNAL STORAGE (32G or 64G);
not your external sd card capacity.
----
T-Mobile has had close to zero 64GB Note3's available in-store or on-line, so this poll will be heavily 32GB biased for a while, but it'll still be interesting to see 64G inch up to maybe... 3%(?) over time. AFAIK, the 64GB version is currently only available to pre-order for corporate customers (still waiting on mine via proxy) or if you ask nicely at a corp store (vs an authorized retailer), but should eventually show up regularly.
I asked about the 64GB Note3 at a mall in NYC earlier today, and they said they could have it in 24 to 48 hours if I pre-ordered it from them (but I bought elsewhere).

If you don't mind me asking where did you get the 64GB from NYC?
Is it a T-Mobile edition?

I bought it from a highly-rated ebayer (tmob corp client) in California who pre-ordered for me, but I won't be able to get my hands on it for another week or so, which is fine with me since Spigen still hasn't shipped my cases anyway, and the recovery bootloop issue still hasn't been ironed out either. And, yeah, it's the SM-N900T modelnum. $708 for 64GB isn't bad (after a 10% "sorry you have to wait a bit longer than I promised" discount)

I'm tempted to return mine and wait for the 64GB edition. I wish they'd just release both versions at the same time

22gb free on a phone is more than enough for me. I wouldn't pay more for a 64 cuz I know I will never end up using it. I like to keep as much stuff possible on my ext sd.

Couldnt have put it better, I would be happy with 32gb but willing to wait for the 64gb to future proof the phone also so I might not have to buy the note 4 so soon(unless it comes with 128gb internal storage + expandable sdcard)

You are welcome, I had to hit the switch for a 32g myself that's a crazy price.
I haven't seen it that low yet.
To add to it they are coming from Amazon instead of 3rd party so it should be a legit card instead of counterfeit...
Yeah and if buying from Amazon directly, you can use Amazon gift cards (I got a $100 gift card for Christmas ) which makes it easier.
Nice find. SanDisk cards are the best.. I have a 16 GB myself and love it.

There is almost always deals like this on amazon or other websites. Fyi its only a class 4 sd card so it will transfer data rather slowly. Its a good fair price for what it iz though

Except SanDisk tends to underrate their cards.. so their class 4 is equivalent (in speed) to a lot of class 6 cards out there.
On the other hand you have Patriot, they tend to overrate their cards and they are generally not of good quality.

How good would a 32g sd work??

Ok so im thinking of buying a 32g sd for this phone cuz i really wanna put all my music on my phone and i have like 10g of music, wondering how well it would work, Ive bought an 8g and 16g sandisk at walmart and both have worked great, anybody using a 32g on their s2?? What kind? Thanks

I'm using one... the speed isn't great but for music and videos and also for nandroid backups and such, speed isn't so much of an issue. I got it on sale from Newegg (I think the brand was A-Data or something like that) for $40, but I got it a while ago.
I have a Samsung class 4 32gb and I only have like 3gbs left on it. I have used it for the last few months in my T989 with zero issues
Just bought an 32gb Class 10 Samsung micro SD from Amazon for $50. Swapped it into my phone this morning. No problems, speeds are class 10 or better (see pic using SD tools app).
i have both the 32 GB and currently using the 64 GB as my daily driver
they both runs great
the speed of the SD is not determined by size, but by its quality and Write Speed
there is a sticky with benchmarks you can see which cards performs better

SDXC allows for much faster data transfer when used with the appropriate devices. For our phones and anything that cannot handle them yet, they will just be much higher capacity and have about the same class 10 speeds of a normal micro sd card.

Yeah, it looks like SanDisk has switched over to labeling their Class 2 cards (which always performed at Class 4+ level) as Class 4, and also their Class 6 cards as Class 10 now. There still are only two tiers of SanDisk cards.
So now SanDisk cards are rated approximately correctly according to the standards, combating the Class inflation in advertising which has seemed to occur in other manufacturer's cards, while still cashing in on the general consensus that up to this point, SanDisk cards have always performed above spec. Better than buying a Class 4 which performs at Class 2 levels, but not as good as the little thrill of buying a SanDisk Class 2 and finding that it smokes the Class 6 from another manufacturer you already had.

I'm telling everyone everywhere I go these next two things:
Double your 4g speeds without installing anything, will post how if anyone wants to know...
And...
Ever have to factory reset due to a "whoops!"? Hijack the Sprint Installer and fill it with your must have apps so you never have to do a tedious apps reinstall again!
The preloader has 300M of space.. and I just tested a factory reset. Sure enough my apps are loaded in.

I totally agree that I'd have liked to see a 32GB option and/or a slot for a microSDXC card, like the Galaxy SIII has. I don't want to depend on cloud storage for my music files. And I'd rather use my own music app rather than the Google Play music player. A 64GB microSDXC card in the GN would be perfect.
As it is, I bought a 64GB flash drive that I mount on my GN via USB OTG and Stickmount. Not ideal, but it works.

Would of?
What the hell does that mean?
Would've, while sounding like "would of" is in fact short for "would have"
Together the two words show timing and intent, but could be used apart:
I would buy.
I have bought.
But the same is not true of your use of the word "of."
I of bought.
Simple mistake based on tricks our ears play on us.

Well states wise, how much they would have sold, if Google had a unified launch of launch product. as i remember the release date from Verizon was foggy at best. Then they offered no way buying in the stateside besides Ebay/Amazon, till whatever exclusivity deal expired with Verizon. Then Google finally offered directly and Sprint got the phone.
I could only imgine that this phone would have sold well, if it had any amount of marketing, and unified launch besides one carrier in the states

You really think it would have sold any more units with 32GB storage? I find that hard to believe. If you choose your phone based on 16GB vs 32GB storage, and are willing to give up having a Nexus because of it, you clearly don't get it. I still have yet to understand why anyone would need that much storage.
And MicroSD sucks. Partitions and UMS are just a pain in the ass. Don't expect Google to ever use them again in a Nexus device.

Gotta love how most Amazon retailers won't ship to Canada.

In my case they won't ship to Indonesia. Too bad...
I find it funny that I click on the buy it now for $43 and it changed to $60... That bites....
Thanks for the post. I broke down and purchased one. I was going to wait a few days while to think about it, but I knew Amazon prices change daily.

Good thing this thread isn't about scandisks. This is for a sandisk card.

Quick question : does samsung offer their 64gb microsd with all the water resitant / ton resistant yet ? I read somewhere that samsung's has higher transfer and read/write is higher even though they are the same class? Also i didnt bite on this because i, too, sent my sandisk back 2 years ago for a warranty.

Asking anyone who ordered a 64 GB (or 32) Sandisk micro SD card from Amazon? Did it come in a standard retail blister pack or just the plastic card holder without a blister pack? Thanks.
EDIT: Never mind. It looks like I ordered the "Frustration Fee Packaging" version of the product by mistake. Don't like it. Seems like a fancy term for selling used merchandise that's missing original packaging.
Seen the 64gb Samsung pro series running at 80mbps read on bestbuy online for $ 264.00 and the 32GB for $99.00. Those prices are outrageous!
