I can not reproduce at all the action...
How do you manage it without a launcher ?
When I click icon hold it down , I have only two options : delete or get information about the app.
But no way to edit or delete the name: (

oh it worked with settings icon on main screen
maybe it just works with the stock icons was
just a test ..

i was on a rom also that could have been why
it dont work on stock though maybe theres a
hack for it out there

If nothing else works you can also install Desktop Visualizer, add a 1x1 or 1x1S widget and assign an app without using a name for the widget :good:

Google Maps Panel (auto load version)

hi,
I have made a simple panel that opens up google maps (only tested on uk rom) But i have only been able to run the program after u press on a button to start up.
Does anyone know the code (html) to make a program autostart on open up?
I have attached the panel for anyone who wants it
ps. this panel should be able to run any software on the phone as long as u have the path to the exe (change code in the source file)
Also is there a way to have a option menu in the panel manager for panels made with the html generator?
Added V2 with autoload
Nice...I'll try it...give you some feedback...care for a screenshot?
Thanks
added pics
the panel manager screen capture did not get the whole screen but u can see it top middle
Great contribution !!
Adding to the panels library
Keep up the good stuff !!
Maybe it will be useful when it can autostart. As it is now, I'd rather have a shortcut to start the program than a panel.

<body onLoad="extended://app:start?app=Program Files/GoogleMaps/GoogleMaps.exe">
Edit:
Well, that didn't work at all, so I guess the HTML Panel thingy doesn't support that parameter.
Tried <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="5;url=blah blah"> too, but no go. I'm out of ideas I'm afraid.
yh, i tried lots of different code lines (even tried to add flash code as the new panel manager works with flash in panels) but did not work.
but there must be a way as the over panels auto load.
I have a cab extracter software and going to see it i have extract the panels software and then add my own code to it.
but im not very good with the development side of things
Couldnt you just ask the guys that made the youtube or navigation panel?
Or maybe look at what the code says

How to change shortcut on startscreen icons?

Mates,
KE2 with OC KDD kernel; TW4.
How do I change the default apps by pressing Contacts or SMS?
I want to use 3rd party Contacts and SMS app; but still want to use TW4...
Open applications menu. Click menu button and choose edit. For message program change: Drag message icon out into the application area. The drag gosms onto the apps/icons bar. Hope this is clear.

Ahhh; sorry mate; didnt explain clear enough. Got a customized theme; and because of this the icons are according to the theme; but if I change the SMS icon with the Go SMS; then I loose the customized icons.....
But thanx for the tip though :=)
Ahh OK. So to keep the icons the same change the shortcut link different I suppose another option, rather than change the shortcut link, would be to change the icon/shortcut and then change its icon to the your theme.
I have no idea which is easier and how to do it unfortunately so just putting it out there in case it helps. I guess for both these things you may need to root your phone and get a more powerful file browser.

Need Help creating a music widget

Hi everyone! @kwerdenker I'm hoping for your response
I'm at the first attempt at using using Zooper and I'm trying to create a music widget using this guide: http://webermatters.com/everything-zooper/creating-a-zooper-media-widget-with-media-utilities/
The problem is that the widget isn't displaying next,play/pause,previous buttons, coverarts and infos about artist etc.. Buttons work though, in fact I can play music though the widget.
This is my Media Utilities configuration and my widget.
Thanks in advance for the support!

Please post your Zooper template. With only the screenshot to go on I can't say much. Also which media app do you use? In case of problems you should always use Google Play Music to check, since it's known to be the one with the best success rate.

Thanks for the support! The attachment was in my autosave folder, is it what you're looking for to help?
My first guess is that you're not specifying where the image is for the play/pause/whatever buttons.

In fact I'm not In the guide I linked if the first post it's not specified and I don't know how to do that.. However, when setting the coverart the screen in that guide show a path for the image in the advanced parameters, but it seems that I can't add the path. So, where do I have to put the coverarts? Also, how can I match every coverart with its respective song? I thought it was automatic as I bought a pack of widget that works well by default..
Sorry for all the questions but I'm really new to Zooper!

Ok, so here are two things:
1. You have to keep the case of the tags! #tmu_track# won't work, only #TMU_TRACK# will. You can see this throughout the whole tutorial.
2. The wording of the paragraph concerning the buttons can be misinterpreted which I assume you did. Assigning an action to a bitmap module does not automatically apply an bitmap appropriate for that action. You have to assign the play, pause, previous, next graphics yourself.

Coverart is the only one of these that will be auto-loaded for you with the advanced parameters. For all others you have to find your own button bitmaps and assign them manually to the Bitmap module via the Bitmap option directly under the OnTap one

Ok thank you very much! I got almost everything sorted out, only the play/pause button is missing together with the overlapping text. I'll see what I can do and I'll ask here for help or to show the final result :good:
@kwerdenker
I can't get the play/pause button right. I have the images for the bitmaps but I can't find a way to get the play button switch to pause when the music is playing and viceversa.. Can I use the media utilities action to put the commands in only one bitmap? TIA

If you are using bitmaps for the buttons, the simplest solution is the following: use two bitmap modules (one for play, one for pause), apply the bitmaps and the appropriate OnTap action and position them where you want them to be. Then add this as an advanced parameter to your play bitmap
Code:
$#TMU_ISPLAYING#=1?[ox]9000[/ox]$
and this to your pause bitmap
Code:
$#TMU_ISPLAYING#=0?[ox]9000[/ox]$
This will effectively move the bitmap "off screen" when the condition is true (I think ISPLAYING is pretty self-explanatory )
Thanks for your answers @kwerdenker, here is the final result! I'm proud of my first complete home I think I'll refine it..

[Q] Hide/Show Zooper notification widget

How do I make it so my Zooper Widget hides when I have zero missed calls and shows only when it has one or more missed calls?
Did a bit of browsing and found I would need Tasker for this, and that's where I stopped since its a lot to take in.
--------
Edit - After more browsing it seems I didn't actually need tasker. So instead Ill ask for help on how to hide an entire widget only when I have 1+ missed calls and hide when I have none. Didn't know about the advanced parameter section.
----------
Edit - At the moment I'm using a " $#SUSMS#<1?[oy]999[/oy]$ " to "hide" at the moment. Is there a better way to hide widgets than this? I need to still.be able to widget click them when hidden.

Is the module you are using to display the notification a Text/Rich text module or a bitmap module?

Text. I have one for calls.and sms notifications. Here's an attachment to show what I have so far. The call widget is adjacent to the sms one and hidden correctly. I'm asking if there's a better way to hide the widgets. Maybe change the opacity instead of the x, y positions?

Yes, use Advanced Parameters for color with Text, and write 00ffffff for example ( 00 is alpha level ).

Yes, controlling the opacity is the other possibility. For (Rich) Text and Rect modules you can control the color via the [c][/c] tags in advanced parameters. The color is defined via a 8 character string where the first two control the opacity of the color. So the modified version of the conditional you posted could look like this:
$#SUSMS#<1?[c]00ffffff[/c]$
Hmmm, It didn't work. Is there a issue with this? I have put it in advanced parameters and in the text area.
$#SUSMS#<1?[c]00ffffff[/c]$ <-- This shows this ---> [c]00ffffff[/c] in the preview window below. And the with nothing in the widget.

This conditional only controls the color of the module and should be put in the Advanced Parameter option. You then have to put the actual content of the module (i.e. #SUSMS#) into the Text option so there is anything on which the opacity can be controlled.

[Q] Help - cannot move app icons or create folders on Home Screen.

Help - cannot move app icons or create folders on Home Screen.
I have had my Tab S 10.5 for 2 weeks now and realised that I cannot seem to move icons on the home screen or create folders on the home screen. When I hold-drag an icon on the home screen it says 'Tap Edit to rearrange widgets, shortcuts, or create folders' but I cannot find where the menu is for Edit etc. When I hold-drag on an empty part of the home screen I get the home screen highlighted with Wallpapers and Widgests at the bottom.
I can create folders in the app list and move to the home screen but get the same message when I hold-drag an icon to move into the folder.
Please can someone help me with this?
Thanks.

Yes I will be returning it this week to the JB Hifi I purchased it from. I will make sure I test for this issue before installing any updates.
Issue Resolved!
I have just found out how to create folders for the Home Screen and rearrange app icons on the Home Screen.
I was searching videos on YouTube and came across video tutorials for the S5 which helped me, to create folders you go to the apps screen then hold down an icon and drag it to the top left where 'create folder' should be and let go, then a folder will appear which you can name and after you save it the folder appears on the Home Screen, before you save you can also press on a + symbolto add more apps to the new folder.
To rearrange icons I don't know how I missed this, press the Home button to make sure you are on the Home Screen, then down the bottom right corner next to the Apps icon there is a pencil icon for Edit Page from here you can move app icons around and into existing folders.
I contacted Samsung live chat twice about this issue and they did not know how to resolve it and I was about to take my Tabs S back for a replacement!
Thanks for the replies to my post it is appreciated.
