I don't think a lot of people bother flashing non-stock based ROMs at the moment because it breaks the camera.. Once Sony fixes this problem I think a lot of people will consider an AOSP based ROM, including myself.

Exactly the feeback I needed. Thank you mate
sent from a Sony Xperia Z1

I second that, unlocked my T and lost Bravia, didn't think much of it, however losing the camera is too much of a loss for now
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Premium HD app

Same for me, I'm dying to use AOSP roms but don't want to lose camera

Yea i'll be giving this a try, probably won't be bothering until the camera issue is fixed, I think thats a ludicrous problem to have, probably one of the phones best features breaks when you unlock the bootloader, they're hardly playing fair are they?
Running monx at the moment and all is well, but missing themes and extra buttons, CRT animations etc etc.
Phone is superb though, i can't fault it besides the odd reboot once a day maybe, apparently thats a sony thing too.

Don't you make a 4.2.2 for this phone??

Don't think so, this rom will be current with CM10 and similar rom's, so 4.3 and up i imagine.

Hope they will make a new of 4.3 now

I hope the sources will be released soon then the real developement can start.. Cant wait for paranoid 4 on the z1. Should be more than good

The only things that I will add to this rom is certain cherry picks, but I may consider adding to second post some of the mods so you can flash them after rom...
What I'm after doing is just supplying the basic rom so you guys can add what you want to it because not everyones taste is the same and you will all want different things.
Just go to ap030993's PACman thread like he's just mentioned and try the mods from there

Its kali's fix version. So unless the gapps now have it in (not sure cus i always flash 4.2) it has more options and works better than the normal 4.1

Welcome to HyperDroidAOXP (Android Open-Source Xtreme Project), a ROM developed for people who like to build up their own ROMs with a minimal, yet functional working base. The Android Open-Source Xtreme Project is an Android Aftermarket Firmware project that is built off the latest AOSP source as customized by the SlimRom Team.
Highlights:
Built from source based on AOSP SlimRom and CyanogenMod 10.1
Major Features from AOSP based SlimROM.
Some features from CM and AOKP are also included.
ROM Built using the stable Google Toolchain
Stweaks, EasyUMS and Superuser built-in with a Settings entry
OTA powered by goo.im
3rd party Apps that I find as essential are included (these are the ones I install after every fresh flash and are installed in data/app so you can easily uninstall them) e.g. Titanium Backup, Google Keep and Flipboard
Gapps by SlimRom built-in (including Google Now and Face Unlock)
Performance Features:
Sysctl enabled, auto zipalign for ALL apps, cron schedules enabled
Custom hosts file to block ads
Sysctl tweaks included for performance
Look, Feel, Fit & Finish:
Hybrid theme for the most professional look: Thanks to all 3 people!
Some Lucid PNG's by sonnysekhon
Black Exodus by Nitroz
AlloyWhite theme by xIC-MACIx
Themed Fastest Customizable Launcher (Apex Launcher)
Known issues (same as CM 10.1 and most AOSP based Firmware)
How to Install (If coming from another ROM):
Full Wipe
Download Latest Version
Gapps Inverted
Flash
Test and Enjoy!

pongster - ROM, kernel, theming, Source Maintenance
D.O.C. - ROM, input

The three main things stopping me from using this rom arent working yet! :crying: lol nice to see development really picking up for the z1 now since kitkat was released though just need that darn camera bug fixed! haven't really been using my camera lately so if you get bluetooth and mobile data working ill be testing this out on my z1 :good: also about to try omni on my XTZ flashing over cm11 :good:
still no fixes to
- Bluetooth
- Video Playback (HW decoder)
- Mobile Data
if this are fixed i really going to use this rom or at least the mobile data

How do you install this ROM given that the dual recovery is registering the device (Z1) as a Z Ultra?

only experimentals today
not working = fmradio
LTE and audio playback may be buggy. (normal music player and audio in calls are ok)
Can you implement TWRP recovery or use dual recovery cause I backup my phone using TWRP and CWM doesn't recognize the backups.

I hope I'm not the only one seeing the obvious solution here...
Any feedback on GPS? I would presume it's unusable, as it is with the other KitKat Roms,
but if it works I will give this a try : )

Hmm. I wonder what the obvious solution would be... This is AOKP, so I wouldn't be able to flash a kernel since most of them on here are 4.3 stock based. What are you getting at?

it would be awesome if there would be a list in the op about what works and what does not work at the moment.

nice rom. only thing I dislike is the tree/forest banner in settings which can't be changed by half of the themes.
Will you be updating it?
