yes i have factory cable in my box.. do u know any way?!

Get into Fastboot with whatever, uninstall Kindle drivers, reinstall, and do your own recovery stuff.

If by "cable in my box" you mean the one that came with the kindle, that is not a factory cable, I believe the full name is Motorola factory programming cable, I just call it a fastboot cable since you plug it in and the device goes straight into fastboot. You may not need one if the logo turns blue even if you don't have the recovery partition flashed, in my experience, once second boot loader is installed it acts a lot like the 8.9" boot loader in the way we can get it into fastboot without a fastboot cable. If your PC makes a connect and disconnect sound when you plug your kindle in and it powers on to the blue logo, check the device manager to make sure the device is not appearing as otter2 with an yellow triangle, if it is they to update the drivers with the ones in my signature. I suggest downloading and cding (from a command prompt) into kindle fire first aid's directory and running
Code:
fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product
with the device off and unplugged, once fastboot says waiting for device, plug the kindle in and let it power on and if all goes well it will go into fastboot, and from there I think kffa can reflash the partitions. If after attempting to get into fastboot with above method and failing you will need to order a fastboot cable.

i use your driver and can access to fastboot then i flash 10.2.3 with 3 file in fastboot to bootup my device... but when reboot my device cant boot and have tringle red logo and i dont have blue kindle fire logo... now what can i do to boot my device.. more time i do reset factory but dont change any thing and i have tringle red logo

Odd, sound alike you will need a fastboot cable this time around and you need to reflash the system image again I think, maybe the last one had a bad md5sum or something.

Did you flash the older 10.2.4 boot loader file. The newer bootloader has the hole fixed

You have to right click the jem device with an exclamation in the device manager, hit update drivers and point it to where you would have extracted my drivers(might have to uninstall the old ones first), but its very difficult to do because the kindle only broadcasts in fastboot for a few seconds, its way easier to just boot a Ubuntu 13.10 live cd and do it because its doesnt require any drivers, just the fastboot command.

[HELP] KFHD 8.9 Red Screen

Hi all,
First off, this is my first post :victory: and I need some help.
Last night I used this thread to successfully get root access on my Kindle Fire HD 8.9".
Then, wanting to install CyanogenMod 10.1 on the Kindle, I tried to install the second bootloader and TWRP Recovery. At this point, the Kindle began to reboot. When it turned on, the Kindle Fire logo appeared, shined a few times, then blank red covered the screen.
I can turn on/turn off the Kindle, but all I see is this red screen. Anything I can do?
I've looked at factory cables, hopefully there are some things I can try before I buy that...?
A factory cable won't work on the 8.9
Disconnect the USB cable
Turn the device completely off (hold power button for 10 seconds)
Enter: fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product
Reconnect the USB cable
As the device powers up, if your fastboot drivers are working properly, the device should boot into fastboot mode. Use it to restore your saved partition images.
Thanks for reply
Hi soupmagnet,
Where do I enter the command "fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product"?
In command prompt on the computer?
EDIT: Self-explanatory It worked perfectly - thanks!
HAVING SAME PROBLEM KFHD 8.9 2nd Gen RED BOOT.
I have the same problem. Can boot into fast mode with KFFA, but restoring stock settings seem to be Impossible. I have tried to restore with ADB, ADB (Fastboot), KFFA, and KF SRT. No matter what red boot screen will not go away and device can only fastboot. Any help?

Red screen is also considered a hard brick. Sometimes restore does not work.
Same happened here
Today I rooted my kindle fire 2nd gen10.4.8 using vroot I also installed a boot loader that as soon as I tried downloading shut my kindle fire down and when I tried unsuccessfully to turn it back on the red kindle fire symbol came for a second and then the careen was red
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46154263 follow this and you should all be away from that red screen

same here but worse
My kindle is rooted and when i flahsed a recovery it asked if i wanted to boot into recovery after i said yes then when it booted the kindle fire logo appeared for about 1 second then a red screen slid in from the side now it wont boot into recovery fastboot or normal mode and i have reinstalled kindle drivers several times as well as fastboot.exe and also adb.exe and nothing works the computer sees it for 3 seconds if i hold power volume down but then it goes to red screen
You need to run this on the computer: fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product
Once it says waiting for device, plug the kindle in while it is off, if the bootloader isn't too damaged it should kick into fastboot. Hopefully you also installed the fastboot drivers previously or your best bet might be a Linux live distro like Ubuntu.

fastboot doesn't recognize if there is a way to fix this or a way to keep the kindle connected for more then 3 seconds i would appreciate it
What does the kindle show up as for those 3 seconds? Because usually it shows up as a jem device (without the driver installed) or a adb device (with fastboot drivers installed) and in those 3 seconds that command gets it to go into fastboot mode so you can fix it. All that needs doing is the bootimg needs to be flashed or erased and fastboot should be more cooperative.

I ran the fastboot command like you said, and got my kindle to go into fastboot but i have no idea what to do next.
should i run certain files?if so please tell me where and how?
Use kindle fire first aid or system restore tool for the rest once it is in fastboot mode or flash a backup of your boot image with "fastboot -i 0x949 flash boot boot.img", that should fix a red screen/bad loop scenario where fastboot is not working well, etc.
thats the problem

i cant tell what it shows up as because by the time it shows up in the device manager the kindle disconnects
how do i flash a boot.img if the kindle is only connected for 3 seconds and fastboot isn't working
A ubuntu live os probably would do the trick
May I give up kindle fire hd 8.9 ?

[Q] Stuck on blue logo after bad ROM... nothing seems to work!

Hi!
I recently got a second hand Kindle 2nd Generation already rooted with Cyanogenmod 10.1.3.otter2 on it. Google Play and some other apps where having issues, so I decided to downgrade. After testing a couple of different ROMs, I got stuck on the blue logo, an infinite booting screen. Funny enough, I think the mistake was to install a Fire first generation ROM into a 2nd generation.
Anyway, long story short, I've tried everything, SDK ADB will see the device but return a device unauthorized, and the Kindle First Aide seems that won't help because it seems that all the options need me to be in the desktop of the tablet and I can't get there... I'm running out of options and don't really know what to do : (
Any ideas guys??
If that's all you did you should be able to boot into recovery, not sure what button you hit on a kf2 though to do that. You can open the device manager and plug the kindle in while it's off and see if you see an otter2 device show up briefly, if it does try to right click it and hit update drivers and install the drivers in my signature. If instead you see a adb device briefly you should be able to run "fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product" and then plug the device in while it's off and it should go into fastboot. As a last resort your option is to get a fastboot cable.

To get to the recovery on a KF2 you click the power button while it's in the blue boot screen

[Q] KF stuck at "Kindle Fire" screen, details inside, pls help?

So here's what happened.
About a year ago, I rooted my Kindle and flashed CM 10.1. Everything worked out great.
Fast forward to a few days ago, I thought it'd be cool to give the KF an update. Total mistake. I wanted to flash CM 11, but figured it'd be important to install the latest version of TWRP as well. Before I knew it, my Kindle Fire was bricked. In the process of updating TWRP, I downloaded and flashed the most recent img file (using Flashify), and after the device rebooted automatically, it wouldn't move past the silver/orange "Kindle Fire" screen. I've since tried a number of things, including powering the device on and off, and holding the volume up button to boot into TWRP, but nothing seems to work. I always end up getting stuck at the same screen.
I've also tried using Kindle Fire Unbrick Utility, but I get a "device not found" message. My computer makes a noise, as if to recognize the KF when it powers on, but within seconds, loses communication.
Am I screwed?

Can you get into fastboot? Did you restore your backup?
Don't worry you must have flashed TWRP for the wrong kindle generation.
Connect your kindle to your pc with the normal cable that is provided with your kindle. Now turn your kindle off and type the following in your cmd
fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product
now it should show
< waiting for device >
then turn on your device
you should be in fastboot now.

I had a feeling that must've been the case.
I followed your directions, but can't get past the "<waiting for device> message in CMD. Turning the kindle on or off doesn't seem to make a difference. Am I doing something wrong? Are there other alternatives?
Did you follow the steps in the right order
Turn of Kindle
connect the wire
type command
when waiting for device is shown then only turn on your kindle

I have a similar problem. I try to give the "fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product" in windows cmd but it just gves an error. Do I need to install something to fix this
My guess is you don't have the right drivers installed. You have to install the driver while the device is attempting fastboot. If you have the device manager up you'll see it flash for a second when it boots. Right click when it flashes and install the driver.

When you used Fireflash, did you get TWRP and second bootloader installed? If you did, power your device off, then power back on. When you see the gold Kindle Fire logo, hold the volume up button until the logo turns blue, keep holding for 3 more seconds, then release and you should boot into TWRP. From there should be able to connect to computer and transfer files using ADB if needed.
I belive i did not. Everytime i do your method it just show the screen on but just black.
I even have a factory cable to fastboot it and it also dosent work /:
USB Drivers
You just need to change the drivers on windows to get it detected properly and access to fastboot
I posted a quick how to here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59900685&postcount=4
Install Android SDK, if you have not already.
Put the kindle in fastboot mode.
Download The Twrp files for kindle fire hd.
Flash The Files
Reboot Into Recovery
Try to see if you can boot into your os
If not, use adb to push a rom into your kindle.
Flash it
You should be good.

[Q] Kindle Fire HD 8.9 Forever Booting

I have been looking all over the web to find a solution for my problem. I have a Kindle Fire HD 8.9 which i attempted to flash with CM 11. I was able to recognize the device on my computer, and it installed twrp, however it had an issue that said it could not install the .zip file for cm. I reflashed what I thought was the newest twrp onto the device using the flashboot commands, and now it won't get past the kindle fire logo that is orange. it doesn't recognize anything on the device manager, and it doesn't make any noises after doing a restart and replugging it back in with the device powered off.
Have I just totally destroyed my Kindle Fire, or is there a way to save it? I have tried to run the commands on Linux, Mac, and Windows, and have not had any success. Please help! I really would love to turn this thing into an android device, but i can't get anything to work! :crying:
What happens when you reboot? Does it stay on the first boot logo? Can you put it into fastboot mode. Use this command:
fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product
Also, is it a bootloop or is it just staying on one logo
