Sorry I didn't see I was in a wrong forum

Hello guys. I flashed hyperdroid 7 androidmeda then been with it for a year till I decided to flashed to Cyanogenmod 10.2 yesterday but some problem popped up. My GS2 can't find any signal, IMEI disappeared from "About phone". I tried many ways to solve it but all had failed so I flashed again with 4.0.4 base rom (I9100DXLPF - Thailand) successfully and planning to flash it to ERobot version 24(android 4.0.4) since it's quite popular in my country and that leads to my question
1. Since I flashed 4.0.4 base rom does that mean my device got unrooted?
2. If it's unrooted then should i flash Siyah kernel 5.0.1 to get it root again?
3. Does Siyah kernel already has CWM? or do I have to flash CWM in later?
4. In the case that ERobot rom can't function like I expect it to and I might want to go back to hyperdroid 7 which has android version 2.3.6 can I just use "install zip from SDCard in CWM" because at the time I should have CWM in already and with Siyah kernel.
Thank you in advance

[Q] E4GT Flashing question

Hey this may sound like a silly question but seeing as i am a new comer to the world of the Epic 4g Touch (previously live in the world of the OG Evo) some of this is a little new to me.
current set up is as follows
baseband version s:d710.10 s.el29
kernal version: 2.6.35.14-rogue_et-1
4.1+
build number : calculins.e4gt.rom.v3.0
i was looking at installing the super galaxy rom but wanted to know if it is safe to flash a rom that is based off of ff11 when im currently on el29.
again only reason i ask is because i could not find mention of this in the op for that rom.
that and i never really had to worry about sow many different builds when i was on my OG Evo. any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to flash the el26 kernel then copy the rom to your internal or external sd then you are all set just flash the rom in cwm.

ah, thank you for the fast reply man.
and the kernal can also be flashed in cwm just like i used to do on the OG Evo? or would it have to be done through ODIN?
Yes it is safe. Youre baseband aka modem can be different from your kernal or rom base (super galaxy rom is based on FF11 stock rom). Just be extra careful flashing ICS roms so read up before doing anything.
And you don't need to go back to EL26 before you flash. Just use a custom recovery and flash Calk's Format All instead of wiping using the recovery. You don't need to do the extra work of going back to el26.

That's really not needed, but you still need to update your firmware/bootloader before installing a 4.2.2 AOSP ROM. If you read the CM10.1 thread, it was discovered that older (ICS) bootloaders do not play nice with JB 4.2 AOSP and will cause random reboots. CM10.1 (don't know about others) also won't install unless you're on a compatible bootloader.
To get the latest bootloader/firmware, you need to:
a) Odin to the latest AT&T JellyBean package
or
b) Download the I747 firmware package from here http://invisiblek.org/sgh-i747/ and flash it in recovery.
lol which part was uneeded thanks that is the EXACT answer i was looking for. i did find the smaller bootloader update package so i didnt have to install the full firmware..............and now i realize thats exactly what you linked to as well LMFAO sorry but thanks!!

[Q] Proper steps to getting back to stock kernel

Hey guys. So, I've been reading and reading and flashing and everything.
Got an S4. It was running 4.3 and I was having Wifi issues.
I had read it was a software issue and welp, I've always liked Cyanogen Mod so I installed that.
It installed the nightly build which was WAY too buggy (I use my camera a lot and it kept failing) edit: but the WiFi worked perfectly!
I got back to 4.2.2 now but now the WiFi is Totally not working now and i'm getting that message about
Kernel is not Seandroid enforcing
set warranty bit : kernel
and it takes forever to reboot.
Since I was on 4.3 do i need to flash that stock rom to get my stock kernel back?
Or can I install deoxed version??
I still need to put custom recovery too!
I know this is a lot of questions and i'm not much of a n00b.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

If you are using any Cyanogen/AOSP/AOKP/GE/KiKat roms then please ignore the following.
If you are using a M919 Tmobile Samsung S4 Jellybean Touchwiz 4.2.2 based rom then here is
the way to fix your wifi issue.
Here is the download link for Ktoonsez's custom kernel:
http://ktoonsez.jonathanjsimon.com/sgs4/TW/KT-SGS4-JB4.2-TW-TMO-12.12.2013.zip
Download it and flash it using cwm/twrp recovery and the wifi will work for you again.
Good luck!
I'm running the stock rom but it seems like somehow it didn't overwrite the Cyanogen kernel.

That means that this kernel is for you..... "IF you are really running the stock rom".
If your rom was REALLY stock, I mean if you "ODIN" flashed the stock rom using the
official Samsung M919 4.2.2 Jellybean Touchwiz firmware from http://SamMobile.com
or other sources then whatever kernel you had the stock rom would have over-written it.
If you are sure that it's not over written that means that you have NOT ODIN flashed the
official 4.2.2 M919 MDL firmware.
Good luck!

[Q] Flashing CM 10.2 over Gingerbread stock ROM?

Hey guys, I recently flashed my Ace II to CM 10.2 and it's working perfectly, but there is just one thing...I don't have any mobile connection which is kinda odd. I have searched to some previous threads and read a reply how I can't flash the CM 10.2 over my original Gingerbread. Is that right and could that be the cause of my network problem since the phone is not showing my phone number or anything that has to do with the SIM card. If that is the problem how do I fix it? Do I need a JB firmware, can I get one here and is any JB firmware for GT I8160 safe for my phone?
I hope someone can help me asap and thank you for reading
you cant flash CM over GB !! -> causes ur problem !!
flash JB first, then install CM.
Yes, always flash roms in order gb > jb > kk
You first have to upgrade to JB first

Looking for the latest CWM version available for Xperia Mini Pro 10

Hi folks, I would like to install the [KK_4.4.2] PHD rom on a Xperia Mini Pro 10 but I can't seem to find a link to download a compatible version of CWM , my device is on stock 4.0 ICS but it's rooted and I was able to install an older version of CWM on it only which gave me an error (error 7) when I tried to instal KK. I already asked on the ROM thread however the developer did not respond to it yet.
Any help finding the download link and instructions on how to install it is much appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi buddy, I checked the zip contents and couldn't find "boot.img" inside, wasn't that supposed to be the kernal containing CWM?
Thanks
Stop everything that you are doing.
You are in the wrong forum. Installing this ROM will brick your device for good. This forum has all the stuff for Xperia Arc phone, you don't have it so you shouldn't be here at all.
