Hi guys, we are an Italian dev team, and we are here to present us first Kernel Cleaning. We make this script motivated by the need to have a script to clean situation before flash a new custom kernel.
If we miss to put something inside script let us to know and we will update script
ONLY FOR GALAXY S4 GT-I9505 TW/AOSP FW
- Why do you need? : when you change kernel, is always better do a more thorough cleaning than a easy and normale wipe cache e dalvik, so i thinked to put also inside:
automatic wipes cache + dalvik (removed because now with L reboot takes too much time to restart)
automatic removal of any apk (if provided) that kernel install during flash operation
automatic removal of any folders that the kernelsinstalled inside telephone (This is to ensure a base to start from as clean as possible to avoid possible conflicts by removing unnecessary files older kernel)
this this script does NOT delete any type of data you have on your phone, like foto, sms, app ecc
- FOR A CORRECT INSTALLATION:
1) have root and a custom recovery
2) download kernel cleaning and put inside INTERNAL SD of telephone
3) go inside recovery (volume up + power)
4) select zip of script and flash it
5) now you can flash your new custom kernel

Hello, i have a possibly stupid question..i was on kt kernel and then i changed to ausdim kernel before i got to know about this script cleaner...can i use this to clean phone just to make sure i don't have any leftovers from kt kernel without any issues with current kernel ausdim??

Yes you can use now script to clean, but after flash this script you must reflash kernel, to be sure to not have some issue

Like to see all work good i tested all very much times and never had some issues, only follow first post.
IMPORTANT: remember every time to flash a kernel after use script kernel cleaning

I just switched from Ausdim to KT kernel and used your script before. The KT kernel works like a charm but I noticed that the Ausdim Kernel Manager etc. was still installed. I had to uninstall them manually. Nonetheless - mille grazie and salve from sunny South Africa. LJ
So are these working with 4.3?
Just want to make sure.

hi buon giorno can you explain better? What is the place you see Ausdim manager? Can you check with one file manager where is placed this apk? To add removal strings inside script

I'm still on 4.2.2 and i have no tried /tested on 4.3 but i think you not have problem on 4.3 structure of script is the same for 4.2.2 and also for 4.3

I tried and it worked. I also switched from Ausdim to KT Kernel and for me the 2 apk´s from Ausdim which where mentioned before where still there.

Nope. They are here:
1) /res/app/AusdimKernelManager.apk
2) /res/app/AusdimKernelManagerDialogHelper.apk
Both were actually apps, I think Ausdim Kernel Manager & Script Manager in system/apps. They didn't cause any problems when booting up with new KT kernel. I check with ROM Tools and deleted them manually. No problema. Tutto molto bene. Ciao LJ

Hi all, after modded fantastic Galaxy S2 i am passed to create a ROM for the Galaxy Nexus, this is only my first ROM based on AOSP, help me to improve it, I hope you like it, well now you leave the ROM
1) Copy the ZIP file (not unzip) the Foxhound in the phone memory
3) Disconnect the USB stick and restart the phone in recovery mode
4) Select the "Wipe Data" then "wipe cache partition" just did a wipe select the "advanced" and "Wipe Dalvik Cache"
5) Now select "Install from sdcard zip" and install the ROM
7) After installation select "reboot system now"

Just a quick intro as to who I am and such, basically I started out on the HTC desire HD devices, working with various top developers and such until I worked up the courage to make my own ROM's from there I created the infamous (to HTC users in 2010/2011) honeyteam and thus honeysense ROMs, I then with the help of SEO and a few others such as CdTDroid I went on to become a porting expert in sense related porting and was among the first to port sense to other devices and force HTC to release sense 3.0 on their last year hardware after saying they wouldn't; since then I took a year or so out of developing and now i'm back to see if I can be as half as good as I used to be, but anyway here is my current setup.

This kernel has crazy battery life and runs way smoother then ktoonsez.

Well I didn't even look at his thread, I'll have a test and see if I see any difference, you can underclock and overclock(undervolt) ktoonsez' kernel.

Ausdim kernel is better. Its proofed and confirmed by almost anyone who used it.
Would be amazing if you change kernel with latest ausdim kernel.

Nope however if it's something you want with the ROM i could have a look at making it an optional aroma style addon? I shall flash his kernel now.

I would love to see that option in aroma. When u use aroma yiu maybe can add more options as optional so people can choose whether they want it or not. Would be awesome!

Flashing it now, I got 22,000 with this on antutu (not that benchmarks mean much, I'll try that now) thank you.
Got 26,751 on this once followed by 24, 25 and 25 again. so it's averaging at 25,000 with this new kernel.

Yes you have a lot of interesting ideas, I've flashed the kernel now and shall report back how it goes, so far however it seems smoother..
Need to delete the ktweaker app as well when you flash another kernel, just in case it causes any problems.
Development goes insane. I love the options and mods that you offer in your ROM
Cant wait to test it when you change kernel to ausdim!

Use snapchat, it's free and easier than MMS; plus it can use WIFI also i haven't tested mms yet but sms works fine.

Flash through CWM / TWRP
You place the zip on the internal memory or external SD card.
- To boot into recovery, hold volume down when you restart
- Go to "install zip from sd card", depending on the type of recovery (CWM)
-> Or just install (in TWRP)
- look for the folder where you have placed the zip
- And flashes this now by clicking on yes in CMW or slide to the right with TWRP.
- Then reboot and kernel you got it.

I dont know how to realize. Its not a Rom. You flash it through your recovery. You have there no Internet connection or something else. Maybe i can split the files to TW Kernel and AOSP Kernel if you want. It makes the file a little lighter, but not too much. I know the files are big, but we have a lot of FWs there and not all kernel are working with each FW or Rom. So i must implement a lot of them.
Does the AROMA installer really work now? Coz the last time I checked, AROMA doesn't 0

Open ZIP with winrar/winzip or on device and check if there's boot.img
If you see that file, than that's kernel and you just have to flash zip in recovery...
You can also extract boot.img and flash it with fastboot
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Restart device to newly flashed recovery and then flash ROM to be 100% certain it will flash kernel properly...

Can't install Launcher Fix, also I cant provide you log files cause of missing launcher, could you upload a .ZIP with working launcher GE maybe?

PimpMyZ1 (yes, I know) sets Headphone Analog Gain +10 by default - in fact its +0, and the slider is bugged.
Too much Xposed modules with overriding functions, AROMA would be cool
HUGE Sync problem - I can only sync: App Data, Contacts and People details, what about calendar?

Has this on my phone a few days now, and I'm very impressed with it so far. No problems with the camera (but saying that I did flash the z2 camera files, but the camera didn't work but seemed to make the AOSP cam work better) this would be a keeper if there was some way to make the Sony camera work with this rom. Thank you and keep up the excellent work.

Installation
ROM Installation:
install (if you dont have) nevest PhilZ advanced recovery (i use 6.25.4)
download and copy Yoda_vx.x_KK_Kernel_D802.zip to you G2
reboot to recovery,
install Yoda_vx.x_KK_Kernel_D802.zip, and reboot...
enjoy Yoda KitKat Kernel on you G2 D802

fixed exFAT support and updated drivers - thx dorimanx,

rebuild compile script (nothing changes to you, but it is now faster to me build kernels )

i use screenshoot in power menu from xposed advanced power menu module and it is working

A category for Mod&Xposed Framwork :
- Jishnu Camera Mod (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471900)

An other category for Kernel choice :
- Stock Kernel

- DorimanX Kernel (When dorimanx make his Kernel for 4.4.2)

And last one for theme :

I too like your rom but I want a different kernel, different icons, gravity box, a different camera and generally a different theme, everything based on a different version. Actually I want a different rom. Please upload a different rom.
Edit: please upload the new rom to a different server. I know you said you made this for yourself only and just want to share it, but plz change everything about it first.

I thought it was obvious that I was being ironic in collecting all the requests you were getting into one single post. I'm happy with stock and I'm sure I'll be happy with this once i flashed it. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I am for stock rom. Xposed modules are one install away. The only accepted mode for me, would be no sound on photos.
