Samsung Galaxy Smart Dock Multimedia Hub - Galaxy S 4 Mini Accessories

Hi,
I see that our S4 Mini i9195 is not listed as being compatible with this official Samsung dock:

There are generic clones available for much less but they also say that the i9195 is not compatible with it.
Link here
And here
And here
Cannot understand why, guessing it is something to do with the micro USB -> HDMI connection inside the dock being different. Anyone?
Has anyone tried the official or a clone?
Can you confirm it is not compatible?
Alternatives?
Thanks in advance!

The S4 mini does not have USB Host capability. USB-OTG and MHL is not supported

for all those still interested: there is a dongle and a dock for the S4 mini...
The Samsung EDD-D200 supports the S4 mini and the dongle is the Samsung EAD-T10E- both have the S4 mini listed (just search on samsung.com)

[Verizon] desk top cradle charger

Found this on amazon while looking for a new battery door. It doesn't specify whether or not it uses the pogo pins. Maybe some here will be interested in this. I will be ordering next week and I will post up a full review.
Check this out on AMZN:

Read the Amazon reviews first...
Overprices USB cable, no pogo pins.
I have it, it sucks, does its job but sucks. I should of got a generic portrait dock instead.

Hey just need some help/ HDMI output issue

Hello there.
I had a Samsung Galaxy Note 1 that has been stolen. I have inserted a photo of the cable i use for HDMI output from the phone. It would work on my original galaxy note.
I have replaced my phone with a Galaxy Note 2. I have tried to use this same cable put it would not work for me. Do i need to download a app or something to get the output from the phone on to my HDMI monitor or TV.
Thanks for any help , I appreciate your responses
Kind Regards Nethir Osman

Unfortunately it won't work. This cable is not compactibile with Note2. I had the same problem and situation as you described. You have to buy HDMI for S3 which also works with Note2.
Dan
Thanks for the response. I will probaly order one from ebay.

Slimport

Anyone get a good slimport adapter?
Going to be at a hotel this week would love since mhl love
Bump
Hey,
I had a play with my SlimPort adaptor today, works a treat with the G4. Nice refresh rate too. I have the Kanex one. You can get it from amazon, ebay and from Kanex themselves at KanexLive.com.
Nice slim form factor too. Works without external power but also has a micro USB port for charging as well. My only unknown is whether it will support USB OTG as well using that port - I don't think Slimport supports that so probably a no, but I'll have a play later and let you know.
Cheers,
NJ
UPDATE: USB OTG doesn't work, if you wanna use it as a workstation you'll need a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse
I have bought 2 on eBay, didn't have problems with either but the sellers no longer have them. Items 181322353837 and 311183296532.

Or you can buy a prebuild Y OTG CONNECTOR thats looks like this. Just google for "angled OTG " . I got myself a few for dead cheap
I use this one.

Works flawless. Some ROMS and kernels have disenabled OTG.
It can be fixed by putting boost converter 3.8 to 5 volts inside android.
Y type otg
