Friends , this is my first post, I hope you understand me and explain the problem presented .
I developed an application for a "Handheld " that uses the operating system Windows Mobile CE 6.5 , I need my application to run every time you boot the device , I mean , paste the shortcut of the application in the special forlder windows " StartUp " the problem is that if I have my files (database , file.exe , archivos.dll , among others ) in the device memory and copy the exe file and created a shortcut in the special folder , there problem, the program starts as we need , but if those files are on the storage card , and paste the shortcut in the folder " StartUp " the system shows me a message saying " -the file (filename ) can not be opened . Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate- " .
In short , I need to know that I set up to automatically run an application located on the storage card when the operating system Windows Mobile CE 6.5 starts.

That means the exe files are ment for the device, you must put them on the device in order to open them. Your supposed to open them on the device, to access your device goto my computer > mobile device > my documents, and paste the exe somewhere you know.... blah!
hell everyone I'm new to the forum I've been Reading around the forum lately and its very informative however i ran into a bit of a jam I'm the owner of a t-mobile WING and over the weekend i install theOMAPCLOCK and now I'm getting a message on my screen (cannot execute \windows\startup\omapclock.ink) I've tried to uninstall it but i keep coming up i don't know what I'm doing wrong r what i need to do
can someone please help me
i would manualy delete the file
\windows\startup\omapclock.ink
i did delete the omap file but the massage still comes up where can i find it on the phone i've tried looking everywhere do i need some type of reg edit to perform this

is the dir where shortcuts to programs which are ment to auto start
are placed even if the exe the shortcut is pointing at is gon
the shortcut is still there
and if the shortcut is pointing at something which is not there
it should give about that error
if you do need a reg editor
total commander is both a good filemanager to delete files from places like
\windows\startup
and to alter the registry too

connect your phone to activesync then open the windows folder and then open the startup folder. Right click on omapclock.lnk and select delete and your problems solved.
i guess i'm not lookin in the right place r not but i cant seem to find the windows folder that u guys r talkin about i connect the phone to my computer and use activesync open the file management and browes there is only 2 item storage and i guess the internal storage on the phone and search them all and find no windows folder

it was not a registry i believe but a shortcut file located in the \windows\startup dir of his pda

i have a question on window folder
i run BB v4.0 and i recently re-flashed the phone with the same rom
my problem is how to manage window folder from Pc
before flash in explorer of my pc there was the window folder and i was able to copy and move files
now with the new flash i cant see it from my computer and i dont understand what i did before to show it...can anyone help me? thx

I can see \Windows and copy files to and from there.
You need to have the "Hide Protected Operating System Files" option unticked in Windows
ok i have a excalibur and i have wm6 on it and im trying install apps on it it is unlocked but i have no clue what a cab file is or how to install it or how to run it is there anyone that can help me??? [email protected] THANK YOU
Generally, you install the cab file to your PC desktop, hook up your phone to your PC via Activesync, and after the sync operation, click the "Explore" icon in Activesync to open the folder with the contents of your phone, drag the cab file icon from your desktop into the new folder you've opened and it's on your phone. Then click on that program file in "File Explorer" on your phone and it will install onto your phone.

ok i have done that and it still wont install some sights say i need netcf 2.0 and i tried installing it and found out i have netcf 3.5 or something like that?

I tried to search about my issue , but no use at all.
at first of all i would like to mention that I`m a newbie (very newbie) so please try to help me with my problem.
my problem is that when i unzip any .cab file , i got the setup file in it as XML document , and when i transfer it to my storage card , it`s turn (the setup file) to a web page , so when i click it to setup the program , an opera page opened immediately with a browser address ( file:// localhost/storage%20card/core%20player/_SETUP.XML) in other programs it might be _setup.cab.xml at the end.
so can any one help me what to do to solve this problem , and can install a program in my mobi windows.

YOU install the .cab file ,don't extract the contents of it!
