I'm trying to bring some AOSP roms to you guys and I need some testers since I don't have this device.
Please PM me (with email and I'll add you on hangouts):
You're available the MAJORITY of the afternoon/evening, as this is when I will be working on it.
You are on Eastern time or close to it.
You are not new to flashing, logcats, or adb.
First couple people that PM me will be testing.
I'll close this thread when I get enough testers

This is a wonderful place

This is a wonderful place, I have found, downloaded and tried many ROMs here.
This place also help me to improve my technology so well.
So, I can't wait to register.
But after I have some registered, I want to post a new replay in some threads to tell them some bugs of their ROM, like this one , I have been blocked.
So, I have a little bit upset, because I can't wait to discuss the issue with the thread holder.
Please help me to get ten post so that I can post my bug report as soon as possible.

You can PM the ROM dev to inform a bug report or a solution if its not already suggested in thread by some other user.. which will be the case usually..
otherwise you can go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2054 and help other users in Q & A section to get your 10 posts.. please dont create threads to get 10 posts though..

i have to agree with this, PM is the fastest way to inform a bug when you are not allow to post in the thread yet. I have this issue too, even though i have years of experiences in other forums. but rules are rules, have to follow it.:good:
My favourite rom development site
I have tried a few roms on this site (HTC One V). I have to say many thanks to developers working hard on those roms, because they are all great!

[Q] Posting a port

If I post a port on this primoc forum do i have to have permission from the original rom dev? even if the rom may be discontinued and the dev no longer active? Could I still post it and give them credit instead?

No you HAVE to ask. Unless they have stated otherwise, even if they have stated otherwise you MUST give credit.
In regards to shubham's cm9 kang bang rom. I would send a permissions request and give him fair time to reply. And then if no reply confer with the community about adding it with proper credits to shub for the original rom. I say this due to him no longer being online with the htc one v. If not online at all. I never could get in touch with shub after trying to contact via several methods. I do not think shub would mind as long as you gave him proper credit for his original work. To me its about continuing the community. A number of the older roms would still be very useful if bug problems were finally eliminated. Roms like Kang Bang have a lot of potential..they just need some bugs eliminated. In regard to what is best for the community,I say keeping the community active and viable to draw new development should come before certain permissions if the developer is no longer active in the community, not online at all any where and as long as they are credited for their work. Most developers would not mind seeing their work continue and fixed if possible as long as they are properly credited. Zakman I suggest private messaging the senior members of the htc development community like Simon,Llior and the current major rom developers and see how they feel about it. You might find they as a whole would be ok with it in the absence of shub as long as you did credit shub.
Well said, sir
Sent from my phone running a rom

Introducing: ModChecker

Hello. I have started a website called ModChecker. The idea is that, while the XDA Developer forums are the place to go to figure out how to modify your mobile device, there should be a place to go to simply check to see if a device can be modified. The site is simple and easy to use. My hope is that it will become the place where people start modding their devices, since it will be so easy to see where they need to go to root or unlock their phone or tablet.
Right now, the site is bare bones. I need help from the community making The List as comprehensive as it can be. If you have the time, please head to ModChecker.com and use the Submit page to add your device to The List. I will update The List each day as fast as I'm able and post to the Blog as often as I can.
If you have any suggestions on how to make ModChecker better, you can post about it in this thread. I sincerely hope that ModChecker can be a useful part of the development community by helping people who may not know where to begin have a place to start.
Thanks!
Scott from ModChecker

AOSP Camera Modification

Guys,
I own a Moto G (Well I used to, now it is bricked). I have a deprecated but kinda useful to some guys thread. The first camera doesn't work for the Google Pixel. Others work, as reported by my testers (I have testers in my SN-APPS ZIP too, but I always PM them). So here is the thread and you can post queries and suggestions here and not there.
Here is the link:
