How would you pry it off if it was flush? Need a little nub to grab a hold of.
Nice find. Would come in handy for those of us without full-body armor cases that go to the beach or other dirty environments not-so-often.

Ok maybe not exactly flush but most of these things are made of rubber or something similar. You should be able to use your nail to pry it off.

I just found some clear ones but it's a 100 pack for 2.99 it says they are made out of wood though (clear wood)???

When I get mine and thanks to the OP btw I will cut off the mushroom tip of the 3.5mm cap then superglue the rubber part of my stylus to it.

Was looking around for a flip cover that was similar to the one the s3 has... couldn't find one, or it's for the other s2 variant. Does anyone know of one that's made for the t989?

Hey smart ass, I have googled. All that comes up are cases you attach to the back, or ones for a different model s2. I'm asking for ones that are covers plus the back case.

I'm asking a legitimate question and people decide to troll instead. Maybe it's a different name, or some foreign country might sell it so it wouldn't show their results or translate the name wrong.
Plus, they have it for the other s2 variant so maybe it could also be for ours.

Maybe we can gather more people and request a flip case from Nillkin or something. I like their design and not too expensive as well, and they make flip cases for a lot of phones, but not T989..

got it now they send a panel to put in the case to test it .

I wonder if anything not from factory would jeopardize the seal. Like the zerolemon 2300mah batt or an aftermarket back cover. Since the ZL adds a slight bump the the back of the phone.

That looks way better than I thought it would, much nicer than the fake eBay cases. It looks like they took the front off a seidio obex, and the back looks really cool. Wish the picture had a white phone in it. This might be enough to get me to sell my obex.

Looks a bit big - and I am not sure about a case that costs so much. I have a Vertex case and it seems to do the trick - though I do tend to avoid taking dips in water.

how would this deal with heat issues. since no air goes in and out if ones phone overheats and heat does not escape . would it mean its your screwed?

Well we all said that the Galaxy S4 would be out before this got out...
So that just goes to show that all of the Lifeproof cases on eBay are complete nonsense so far.
The interesting thing is that OtterBox owns Lifeproof. Yes folks who think I've lost my mind, they acquired them a few month ago. Press Release here.

They use the same design for their iPad cases.
They've also released a new iPhone 5 case on this design.

I'm wondering if all those Chinese cases were prototypes that got "taken" from the assembly line or they just released them since they have an actual case out now. The knockoffs had "patent pending" on them.

Or, more likely, someone got hold of the molds, or, there were a few 'after hours' production runs made at the factory.
Not unusual at all in the toy molding business, so I don't think that this would be any different.

The knockoffs look like the iPhone LifeProof. The real LifeProof is the nuud or however you spell it which is different and has no built in screen protector.

On a more serious note with the fact the buttons are covered too, it might stop my phone from locking/unlocking in my pocket like it does now from time to time if it makes them a bit stiffer.

Flip shells might be a bit problematic if you use the compass or google maps, apparently the magnet in the flip affects those
