Unlock After Credo Flash? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Hey guys. I'm just checking this out for a friend of mine who has one we think is the Sprint version of the Galaxy S III. This phone has been flashed for use with the Credo carrier instead of Sprint. She's wanting to switch carriers to Ting, but those guys told her you cannot reflash a phone once its been set up for use on Credo.
I've found the instructions here for unlocking the Sprint version of the Galaxy S III so it can be used with any carrier.
Can anyone tell me if that procedure will work if the device's radio is flashed for Credo as opposed to Sprint? It seems like the procedure would be identical, but I haven't messed with this sort of thing before.

Sure didn't My friend with the phone that is "locked" to Credo is getting a new phone and then the phone that needs the flash will become her backup device, and then she's OK with me messing with it. I'll post my results over here once I have some...

HTC Touch PRO2 CDMA USCC, please help

I've got this touch pro2 cdma on US Cellular.
please advice if I can sim unlock this and if I could do some custom ROMs.
I've tried to read some stuff but it's hard to figure out all this.
There was a version of USCC to unlock some stuff but it said (not recommended)
pls advice
thank you
A SIM unlock will not allow you to flash a custom ROM. You need a HardSPL unlock to do that.

Don't know anything about USCC, but HardSPL will void your warranty and done wrong can brick your phone.

Miami: I believe USCC is an abbreviation for US Cellular. I'm not sure what the other "C" stands for, though.
gotttijr: If I understand you correctly, you're saying that you asked US Cellular about putting a Hard SPL on your device. If that's the case, then OF COURSE they would tell you not to do it! Changing the ROM of your device VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY. You are doing this at your own risk. You don't have to tell them about doing it, though. There are tools to get it back to its stock conditions if you ever have to send it in for a warranty repair/exchange.
Hard SPL DOES NOT unlock your device to another service. If you want to do that, then ask your carrier for the unlock code. Tell them you need the code to be able to use it in another country, and they will normally give it to you with no problem. Hard SPL allows you to flash custom ROMs and other radios.
This is as far as I take you, grasshopper. Search and read. The answers will come to you.

Are you saying you haven't seen the sub-forum clearly labeled Touch Pro2 CDMA and Touch Pro2, Tilt2 Android Developement?
Both of your questions are seriously the very first thread of each of them.

Android isn't stable on any phone not designed for it. Most of the people running it on a dual-boot setup have to live without some functionality and/or other quirks.

I got a USCC TP2 unlocked working with T-Mobile. Just follow all of the instructions given by the letter. Go over here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/cdma-tp2-upgrades/
Read the sticky threads. After unlocking and everything you can choose a new ROM that runs better than stock. USCC TP2 stick with CDMA ROMs and radios. Never install a GSM ROM or Radio.
Thanks again guys. So what rom would u recommend? There was the thread with radio unloc where it says for us celular not recommended. Can anyone advice on that one?
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App

If I had a nickel for every time a new member asked "What ROM should I choose?" I'd be a very wealthy man.
Either flash a ROM or don't. Either way, only YOU can recommend a ROM for yourself. There are several for you to try. Just keep flashing ROMs until you find one you like.
No one can give you advice on an unlock thread without seeing it. Post a link to whatever you're talking about or move on.

Broken carrier, which ROM?

This is pretty basic, but I can't find a answer anywhere, I'm sure I'm just not searching it right, but anyway I bought a rooted SGH-I317 with t-mobile as my carrier, with Android 4.1.2, on Clean ROM 3.3. I've done a cwm back up, but when I pick a new ROM will I choose a t-mobile version ROM since I'm on their network or a SGH-I317 ROM? And thnx in advance for any help you can give

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Please wait while I connect your question to this forum (where your device experts can be found):
> AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II > AT&T Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Note that to respond to replies, you will need to create an XDA account.
Also, I am confident that flashing a T-Mobile ROM on an AT&T device (since the model numbers are quite different) will have dire consequences.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
Hello I sent that question last night before I made a account here so I'm putting a name with this question so if you can help, and maybe even offer up some suggestions of which ROMS run cross platforms it would be greatly appreciated. Thnx again
You can use ROMs for T889 (T-Mobile), I317 (ATT), or N7105 (international?) do NOT flash a ROM if it has a modem with it that isn't what your specific device is (I317). Majority of the ROMs already have the modems stripped out so they can be universal for the three devices just read the details of the thread by the poster of the ROM.
Thnx for your help! I read in another post that if you install a new ROM with a updated boot loader you can't revert back, that won't affect me re-installing my cwm back up if I were to flash either dn4, cyanide, resurrection remix and something went wrong? I currently have I317ucalJ2 boot loader. Once again thnx for anyone's help they can offer me.

Please i need your help to find a specific rom version 4.1.1

Hi guys !
First: Sorry if this is not te area to post my thread, Mods please feel free to move it where it may belong.
Second: I have a Samsung GT-N7105 according to XDA Forum, SGH-I317M writed on the Back of my phone or T0lte on te CyanogenMod forum (lot of names) the problem is that the phone its "Unlocked" for any company but last week my Data Plan ends, i pay the renovation but they give me another CHIP, from other company and put my data plan on it. When i put it on, the rest of the day it was working with out any problem, but in the night just stops working and asks for a Unlocked Sim Code... there's the problem. I look for the solution here on XDA and with the 4.1.1 version i can get on to "Service Mode" and use the options to unlock it for any carrier. I looked on the past threads, and other links and forums. But i can get that specific version of android. So i wonder if please someone from here have it? ad can share it to make testes to unlock my phone.
Thank you in advance and hope somebody can help. looking forward to any answer.
Which phone do you have according to the imei?

I don't know who needs this,... But here goes nothing. Samsung a505u rooted firmware

Hi I found my old password for this account just so I could talk to you! What is this file exactly? I'm trying to root my a505u VRZ. I'm well aware of the problem of the bootloader being totally locked for these phones. The only solution I've seen was to pay for individual device specific unlocks from sampwnd.com from a senior member on this site. But the site no longer exists. Can you explain exactly what this file you posted I and can it be used to my a505u? I'm super excited to see someone posting this on the day I did 12 hours of research on it!
