[Q] Take LG G PRO E988 or keep my Mega 6.3 i9200? Urgent! - LG Optimus G Pro

Mods please delete this.

Hey guys I will keep this simple.
I have been offered a straight up trade with an LG G PRO E988 for my Samsung Mega 6.3 i9200.
We all know the difference and I know in terms of screen estate is a huge downgrade(especially in videos/movies/games which is my primary use), but I think the 1080p LCD and the Snappy 600/Adreno 320 will make up for it a lot for that "smaller" screen.
I got used to the Mega now and even the Note 3 a friend has, feels a lot "smaller" than my Mega.
But I think the better specs as I said will make up for it. And I'm sure I will get used to the "smaller" screen over time.
I have to decide until tonight. Please I would love to hear your thoughts on this and especially from E988 owners.
P.S: One thing. I read somewhere that the Indian version E988 doesn't have FM Radio? Any confirmations?
Mods I'm not sure if this belongs to the Q&A/Help sub-forum or in the General thread, so please move accordingly if necessary.

Don't! Just don't downgrade from a 6.3" to a 5.7" of Note 3 or even a 5.5" of G Pro!
You will regret it due to the smaller screen!
Get the 6"'s HTC One Max!:good:

Lg Optimus G Pro STOCK Android

Hello,
I see a lot of work being done in Original Android Development and that is really exacting to see!
I'm planing to buy a new smartphone and I was waiting to see what the Note 3 has to bring to the table, and I don't think we need 3gb of ram in any near future, and Super Amoled on Note 3 is pentile.
So for me there are only 2 options Note II or G Pro. I really like the G Pro because of Full HD screen, 13mpx camera, and Snapdragon 600 processor.
No matter what phone will I buy I will install custom rom on it (Pure Android AOSP, cm10.1 / 2...)
Now I have one question for you and one request;
Do you believe that G Pro will get fully stable 4.3 rom, and as far as the roms are at the moment are they fluid, and fast? I would totally buy Nexus device but it has to small screen for me, so speed and fluidity is a factor for me. Note II has Exynos processor but we all know how is Samsung with the source release, they just don't release it so the Note II will newer get used to the full potential...
How is LG in that department?
And I have one request. Can someone make a video of any pure Android based rom running on G Pro, so i can see that phone in action?
Thank you from hope to be soon user of G Pro!
even when I'm typing this, we're already having SlimBean 4.3 Beta. that's we can stay pretty stable. But what version u gonna buy? that's the big question. Development is in quicker pace fro E980 version, but the pace is still very slow (or can I say no go) for other variants such as E988. So, check out which version is compatible with the carrier you're using, and how many custom roms available for that version of handset. just my 2 cents

Note 3 vs LG Optinus G Pro? Which is Best?

im thinking of getting the note 3.. but i also am checking out the LG optinus g pro which has a 5.5 inch screen.. which do u think is better?
Please compare phones in the dedicated sticky thread
Thanks

[Q] Which one is better, Gpad or Note8.0?

Gpad has better resolution, and Note 8.0 has S-pen...
well as you ask this in gpad's section i believe most will tell you that gpad is better. I really like samsung note 8 but it was more expensive than gpad
Now 8 is brighter and had. Spen. Everything else from speed weight screen resolution and price was better on this. Am a note 3 user so did not feel I wanted another so similar device. Also living the kit kat roms this

If only these noobs knew how to use the search button rather than reposting discussions that already exist.
This gpad has 1920x1200 resolution microsd with exfat support out of the box. Knock and qremote features are very useful. The price is much better than the note 8, if you want something for note taking buy the 10.1 2014.

LG G Pad or Tab Pro 8.4 ?

So I'm on the verge to buy a 8 inches tablet and I've come down to a choice between the G Pad and the Samsung Tab Pro 8.4 and would like to have your opinions.
So of course, on paper, I should go with the Tab Pro. Better CPU&GPU, higher resolution, bigger battery, etc. But...the G Pad kinda looks better, has software buttons, has better Roms support (thank you GPE) and is also 150 € cheaper ! I also wonder if the GPE program will allow the G Pad to get updated longer than the Tab Pro.
So is the faster CPU/GPU really a huge leap of performance ? I'm not a huge gamer and will mostly browse the web and watch films.
What do you think ?

I have the GPE (V510), and I too wonder about the performance benefit of the Tab Pro's CPU. Test reports seem inconclusive on it.
As far as ROM support, it is nonexistent on the V510. And it's been about 3 weeks since Nexus devices and GPE phones received their 4.4.3/4 updates, and there's no trace of any update for our devices yet.
I would be interested in a hands on comparison from a forum member.
And please report back on your decision and impressions, whatever you decide to purchase.
Edit 1: 4.4.4 for V510 has been released today by Google.

Is it worth to switch to this phone?

Hello everybody, I'm looking for a new smartphone to fit my needs. I actually own a Lg G Flex 2, and I'm unhappy with it. You may ask "why?". Well, because I'm very addicted to modding and all of these things. The locked bootloader etc. on the G Flex 2 made me really sad about this phone. Do you think it's worth to switch from a G Flex 2 to a Zenfone 2 (+ 30€)? Let me know, please. And most of all, this is not a "which one is better" so please don't argue too much. Thank you all!

My Opinion
1) If you want to buy Zenfone 2 then I suggest you to buy 4GB Ram version Only.
2) If you are interested in latest android only then go for Nexus (e.g: Nexus 5X)
3) 4GB RAM versions are also available in Oppo,Vivo, etc. (Search for it)
4) In Sony you can get waterproof smartphone. (Search)
Some Mid Range Great Smartphones:-
1) Lenovo Vibe X3
2) Samsung Galaxy A8
3) Huawei Honor 7
4) Nexus 5X
5) Nexus 6
6) Sony Xperia M5 Dual
7) Sony Xperia Z3+
8) One Plus 2
9) VIVO X5 PRO
10) and of course ASUS Zenfone 2.
But do whatever you want to do...
The Zenfone 2 is not going to knock your socks off, and I don't think it was ever supposed to. The Zenfone 2 is a nice hardware package (not big time, but nice) and the price tag on it is LESS than my first car. The development community seems to love this phone and we were promised android 6 this quarter. Just make sure you get the 4GB model, and don't make the mistake of ordering one online that seems cheaper than everyone else is offering one for (a lot, and I mean A LOT of people got hosed thinking they were buying the WW version, and instead got a chinese model that someone flashed WW software on it and can't get LTE). I ordered three of these from ASUS and all three work great. I love mine and this is the first phone that my son or daughter have not complained about, and they complain about EVERYTHING

i'm in ur same position ...i have xperia sp with GREAT deve community ....but i need to move since it's very old now(2013 phone) though it runs 6.0.1 with no bugs at all
gonna buy zenfone 2 after a month (till my exams are finished ) and i searched alot like VERY VERY alot
screen : it's not brightest nor the best IPS display but for the price u can't complain
volume : as i saw it's not that great...it's somehow little loud but it's muffled and tiny
hardware : 4g ram and quad-core 2.3ghz equal to SD801 or SD805 with only 300$ ....u sure can't complain about that
and ofc it got a great deve community with great ROMs and good official cm13 base
In all honesty, there are better options, I would go with the nexus or opo, I'm sorry I purchased the ZenFone 2.
From the current user of Zenfone 2, don't waste your money for it, you buy it as it is, no one care after that, more update bring more bugs, Intel has abandoned Intel Atom mobile CPU so if we are lucky, Android 6.0 is the lastest android version we could have on our phone, and if we are not, we stucked with 5.0 forever :3
Still great value for the $. It's not perfect but it's very functional.

Just buy a phone with Qualcomm inside instead of intel inside.
Thank you all for the answers!
