see to it that you dont have any android emulator like BlueStacks installed on your pc ... and see if all the drivers are installed correctly

I followed the instructions to the letter, making sure each phased completed correctly before proceeding to the next step.
The only thing I did differently was using the latest version of framaroot v1.6.1 (01-NOV-2013)
I was able to successfully install root access on my XPERIA C1905. (version number: 15.1.C.1.17)
You cmd terminal almost indicates you did not have busybox successfully installed on your XPERIA M before starting the PC adb root process.
If you run PC companion and/or flashtool,it prompts required drivers to be loaded on the PC.
Need debug and unkown services enabled on the phone too.

If Busybox loads to 100% and when you do a normal install, it should now say the /system/xbin install is the same as what you already have installed.
Indicating the busybox is OK.
Do you see a Super user app in your application library?

Yes it's being shown as u said and superuser also in apps library
Sent from my C1904 using xda app-developers app

And you did install Busybox in /system/xbin and not /system/bin???

Yes it's in /xbin
Sent from my C1904 using xda app-developers app

Which .bat file are you running? Superuser.bat or supersu.bat? Which root access app did you install? Did you grant root access in phone for the tool?
I can't see the image clearly on my phone I'll see when I get in from work
Sent from my C1905 using xda premium
---------- Post added at 04:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:37 PM ----------
Just seen the image clearly
What root access app did you install?
Unroot using framaroot then 're root with supersu app selected then check app drawer for supersu if it's not there do it again if it's still not there install via market then run supersu.bat grant root access on phone and try that
Sent from my C1905 using xda premium

So the problem was with super user.. I unrooted my phone then rerooted with super su and it worked

Hello (c)ollen!
Do you need the sdk for the Android drivers (for adb)
Or
Just the Motorola drivers?
He is yet to use superoneclick. He tried with z4 and had no success.

Z4 is just for the SGS isnt it?
Anyway, superoneclick is a one button press. Just need the motorola drivers, connect the phone in debug, open SOC and hit root.
Thank you good sir/madam!

Hi @ all
System apps like this Cineese SU App can be uninstalled with "root App Deleter".Found on market. You need root permissions too.
just install super su and update the binaries.. them it will promp to unistall the other ones.. it worked for me..
It works, but I have a small issue: I can't remove the Superuser application the rooting kit provides. I install SuperSu, it prompts me to update the binaries, I do, and it tells me "installation successful", but it doesn't ask me to remove the other superuser applications. So I am stuck with the Chinese/Korean Superuser application. Any thoughts on this?

Just wonder how it works... Somebody can explain that? I'm not so optimistic to tools like this.

Please, make an option to root with locked bootloader, mine says that's not allowed to unlock it Without root I'm like without hand...
Why apps don't ask for superSU permissions?
can not download kernel... downloading from site has been temp. disabled.
Even with unlocked bootloader, I can't use Link2SD ... Sony is what a pain in the ..ss
Mount2Folder is working ...
Can anyone host the boot.img onto a different site? Dropbox has temporarily disabled the link..

Security updates on 4.4 rooted

So has anyone applied the security update and maintained root? I ask this because the update says it will fix security flaws and malicious exploits (root falls here) so has anyone had problems with it and root??? Thanks

sir as u have rooted ur phone please do me a favour please make a debrick file and uplad it if u dont mind as i hardbricked my phone after 4.4 update thanks in advance
OK so I applied the update and root is fine so we are good there.... [saqib] I'm not entirely sure how to create a debrick image
In the how to debrick thread I posted a recovery flashable script you can use. Just flash in recovery and itll do the rest. Once done just upload the debrick.img it created on your sdcard.
If you cant find the script, let me know. Might be several pages back in the thread.

After updating SuperSU, it gave me options to disable KNOX, which disabled the annoying blocking of apps(I believe it did).
2.I installed busybox from the Play Store. I also installed Android Terminal Emulator from the Play Store.
3. I opened Android Terminal Emulator and entered these two lines, entering between them After entering the first, I granted root access, then ran the second line.
su
busybox dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/debrick.img bs=1M count=128
4. After those two lines were ran, the debrick.img file was on the root of either the external or internal sdcard. I copied that file to my desktop, and inserted my sd card into my computer(Using the MicroSD to SD Adapter).
5.Finally, I used Win32DiskImager to write the files to the Micro SDcard. After that, I pulled my battery and inserted the Micro SDCard into my phone and it was able to boot into recovery and download mode.

[Q] Is it possible to remove "Activation" dialog at startup?

I am using the device ONLY as a gaming device and have no plans to activate it through Verizon, however, everytime I turn it on, it asks me to activate on the network. I can simply close this and avoid it, but I would prefer to remove this entirely if possible. I tried to root the phone but no matter what rooting tool I use, it fails. Every time.
Can I please get some help? I am more of a Windows Phone person so I don't know much about Android rooting and modding.

If I recall correctly, the Verizon versions of the R800 (Might be the R800x) are somewhat locked down so I doubt you can do much at all 'easily' to be honest.
At the very least, without ROOT access you'll be unable to write to the SYSTEM partition which is what you will likely need to get access to in order to remove the activation message - it'll likely be an application that simply needs deleting. You can definitely get ROOT access on the R800x's though, I think it requires flashing different firmware using flashtool.
I would however stress to not let this particular device put a 'downer' on Android devices for you as a whole - there are only a small few devices locked down like this and the rest of the R800's aren't as restricted. You need an R800i lol.
I've tried to hunt down info to no avail on rooting this model. Every root too I've used has shown no results. The device does not change.

You can definitely root the R800x on 2.3.4. I've done it on 3 phones.
I posted this thread a while back to inform others of an easy root method using the Cydia Impactor Root tool .... ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=55573098 ). You won't see any visible changes after running the root tool (other than seeing su binary placed in system/xbin folder after rooting), but you can install Supersu to manage root applications after you inject the root with Cydia.
You may need to install an older version of Supersu after running Cydia Impactor Root, as I have not tested the newest version of Supersu from the Play Store. You can grab an older Supersu apk from here: ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53636923&postcount=2 ) which I believe would work if the newest Supersu doesn't work. ( Thanks goes to XDA member DocHoliday77 for the supersu apk and of course to Chainfire).
After you gain root, then check out post #7 in this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=55290171 ) to see how to easily install CWM / Clockwork Mod Recovery.
.... (FYI, there's actually another root method called Eroot that also works on the R800x on 2.3.4 and 2.3.3....it's discussed in the same thread above where I said to see how to install CWM .... but I prefer Cydia Impactor method instead).
I hope this helps.

Sorry, I had to.
So, I turned this phone on after about a year since this last post and I decided to give it another go. Finally got it using the Cydia Impact method. BusyBox refuses to work but file browsers are allowing root access to delete the bloatware apps so thats good. Thanks for the help!
