Battery: same dimensions more mAh? - Nexus 5 Accessories

I was wondering if another battery with the same dimension but with more mAh is on sale.
is the battery of LG G2 of the same dimensions than the N5 battery?
I've seen the photo of the batteries but it's not clear

No, there are never any batteries with same size as stock but larger capacity. Stock batteries for high end phones are as good as it gets.
Sure, you often see cheap replacement batteries claiming higher capacity, but they simply lie about the capacity...

Feipusi 2200mah high capacity battery for samsung galaxy nexus i9250

Has anyone tried this one? They claim its the same size as the original battery but yet it delivers 2200mAh.

thanx
I would bet that it has about the same charge capacity or less than the stock battery.
Every review of these after market battery that are the same size as the stock battery just have sub par performance.
I ordered an official Samsung extended battery after seeing all the reviews of the aftermarket ones. Its pricy for sure but it is actually an extended battery as opposed to a lesser spare battery which these normally turn out to be.

For the record, ALL eBay batteries that claim over the standard capacity in the same size as stock are 10-20% less capacity than the stock battery. Even mugen despite a large fan base have been proven to be the same or a bit less than the stock battery capacity (excluding the ones that require a new back cover). If you're looking for more capacity I suggest either the official Samsung one or one of the much larger 3800 mah batteries from eBay or mugen.

Galaxy S3 Larger Capacity Battery

Hi,
I am looked several hours for a response to my question, but have not found any answers. I have recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 and I am looking for a higher capacity battery, but one that is the same size as the original. I am not looking for the extended batteries that have new backs that come with the sale. The battery should be able to slide right into the phone and attach the original cover. I am perfectly alright with spending a decent amount of money for the improved battery.
Thanks.
Unless someone can prove me wrong, I think all of those listings with higher mah are bs. You're best with just buying a few OEM Samsung batteries. You can also buy the external charger(+phone dock) from Samsung, or a 3rd party one from ebay (charging on ebay one is extremely slow)
i am testing the hyperion battery 4000mah right now, final verdict will be on saturday. doing the charging as per instruction.
Yeah bigger battery but fits under the same back is a myth. Mugen claims to have a 2300 but I am not sure if it is for real.

they have quality battery in the past. i own 2-3 of their battery and you get what you pay for.
yea the only way would be able to is if they make some modified Chemical for their Cells.
Or (more likely) they just dont follow the same expansion tolerances that OEM manufactures do so they can cram fatter Cells with slightly higher capacity into the same opening in the phone back.
I wouldn't just dimiss the Mugen battery, they're the only one so far that has 3.8v spec on their batt, which from little research is different chem from 3.7v.
And if the phone is regulating the charge, then charging these 3rd party 3.7v batteries with our built in charger will kill these batteries in a hurry.
without NFC and less regulated (less safer) packaging i can see extra 200mAh possible. but not worth $45 IMO>

Are there any differences between how the phone charge and how these 3rd party devices charge? Won't they all stop when the batteries reach 4.2v? The HTC rezound comes with either a 3.7v or 3.8v battery and I've not seen any indication that swapping batteries is a problem.

Better Regular Sized Batteries

I have VZW GN and wondered if there were any batteries out there that are the same physical size as the standard OR extended batteries, but perform better?
Such as "2450mAh High Capacity Replacement Gold Battery For SAMSUNG GALAXY NEXUS i9250" on ebay
Anker has a 2200mAh one, i have their 2000mAh which is barely different, but I just needed a slim battery for an external charger to switch out when I'm low on juice

I dont see why other battery companies dont jump on this and make larger capacity thin batteries...
If you do some research you'll find that *most* aftermarket batteries do not put out the full mah ratings that they claim to have.
Stock batteries are the most reliable in meeting their actual mah ratings. I had a good experience with Anker in the past in my Sensation but other than that, every other aftermarket battery I have bought has not lived up to the qualify of stock.

They can label it as a 3000mah battery but that doesn't mean you'll actually get that, these cheap battery manufacturers can't cram more capacity into the same size as samsung does, why can't people understand this?

3250mAh Battery

Anyone heard of or tested this?

Wait does that need a new back or is it the same size as the OEM battery? There are some good comments under his feedback for this battery.

Its the same size at the original.. but seems fake idk
hmm has 4.35v vs 3.8 oem and has plenty of positive reviews, tempted to buy it
4.35V just the max charge, same with OEM battery. 3.8V is the nominal charge...just another fake battery

Why would voltage dictate capacity? They have nothing to do with each other.
So who's gonna be the brave soldier and buy this?

they don't. wtfmateim65 implied in his post that 3.8V and 4.35V made a difference, i was trying to clear up that misconception.
since the battery is the same size as OEM, there's no way that this battery is 3250mAh as claimed. also, if you look at the back of the battery it says 4.2V...just another fake like i said.
this seller is also implying in his auction that these batteries have short life, and to ignore it because of a "memory effect" that li-ion chemistry batteries do not have.
all in all, would not trust the rating, but it may certainly be a good replacement for the stock battery -- sans NFC and the extra mAh claimed.
Damn wouldn't that be a nice deal

I´ve checked the negative feedback for the last months of that ebay-shop and other which offer stock size monster battery´s, and some sounds like this: "misrepresented strength of battery", "Bad battery no difference between the original one and this battery very poor", so it seems like clear fake mAh strength. :crying:
I think Samsung itself would equip their flagship with a thin stock-sized 3000 mAh battery if it would be technically possible, but i think it is not and all the ebay items are fake. There are a few other battery’s on ebay with similar strength (2850, 2950 mah), and there are also negative feedback about their real battery performance, except the good feedback for fast shipping or something unimportant.
I bought two weeks ago a Polarcell 2400 mAh battery and I´m not disappointed, but also not really happy, there is almost no noticeable difference in life perfomance between the stock 2100mAh and polarcell 2400mAh (+15%), but i think their 2400mAh is real, because the Polarcell is noticeable heavier and like in all corners 1mm bigger than the Samsung stock.

[Q] Battery For Galaxy S2

It has been more than 2 years since I'm using my Good Old trustworthy Galaxy S2.I think it's time to change my battery.
So here's my question: What battery shall I use? I know samsung batteries are the best, but I don't want to buy the stock 1650 Mah battery. Also,I don't want the 2000 Mah battery from samsung, because it needs a bigger Battery cover, and most of the cases/covers become unusable this way.
What battery should I buy from eBay? (This is where I will buy,and my budget is max 10$).I want an extended battery, which has a better battery life
and it is good and trustworthy.

No batteries the same size will give you more than real 1700 mah. when they write 2300 mah, they are lying, if you open them you will see the same cells as a regular 1650 mah from samsung.
Just get a good quality one.
I'm also in same boat like OP and was planning to get original Samsung 2000mah one but cant find it anywhere in India
Hey same here I am also want a original new 2000mah battery in India for my galaxy s2

I've received the battery suggested on this thread

about two months ago, and I'm not disappointed
It gives me a little better battery life than with the original battery for only 3 $ :good::good:

fake 1850-2450 mah battery usually contain only 1250-1450 mah power , you lucky if you got a 1650 mah one
Does anyone have any ideas about the batteries being sold on Flipkart. reviews seem to be good.

Why not the 2k from samsung? The back plate is as thick as the bottom part of the phone. So you won't really feel a difference.
and the camera will be protected better.

Well, if it runs better on your htc than the stock battery, then get one. The chance is high that the S2 Anker is also good then.
