Yes they are releasing for the s4 google edition. You will see aosp builds built from source code too. Touchwiz will be 6-12 months from now.

This is my setup at the moment .

Inconceivable is correct, 4.1. 2 is the latest release for our TW based samsung devices. Those other 4.2 roms are gotten from other roms and customized for our phone. Samsung should eventually release 4.2 for our phones, just gotta be patient

Or they are just going to go directly to 5.0. 4.2.2 was not a big deal.
And they are not from other ROMs now. Built from AOSP.

SAMSUNG has proprietary rights to its software, framework, and applications. Any use other than that given by samsung (ie using Samsung proprietary items in cm) would results in c&d letters, and legal issues. This is why cyanogenmod only uses and reproduces open source work.

The SilmROM 4.2.2 is pretty damn stable, I've tried them all. I've been using it as a daily form the past few months now.
I used slim 4.2.2 on my s3 that was pretty stable for daily use and I was surprised that there was no official 4.2.2 from slim for this device.

There's probably no official Slim for Note2 as there's no official CM10 builds for it either.

These queries aren't well thought of on xda due to the comments the elicit.
Try ROMs and find one you like.

Masochist.
Pac man rom is very good. Try the 4.2.2 version. The 4.3 version has a bit of bugs to work out.

Works but the status bars are blue (built into framework), but they'll be white by KitKat. But yeah it works because Google has to include that feature in the S4 and the GPE is a mix of AOSP and TW.

Fully Kitkat themed jellybean

Hi guys I am thinking if making a 100% KitKat Themed JellyBean rom for our desire...
Do you think it will be good??
Do your best. Trying isn't worst thing. On the other hand you won't be able to post it on developers thread because of rules. I think. Personally I would love to see Rom like this. Good luck.

would be indeed cool to get the same look and feel of the kitkat build on a jb, but now with a few kitkat ports already underway, are you still sure you want to do it?
If people want it then why not...but yes there is beanstalk from chromium which seems very nice and also cm 11

Well, i flashed both BeansTalk and Evervolv today and didn't like either of them. I'm going with CM11 KitKang by spezi77
But yeah, sure, as long a people want to have this, go for it as far as your time permits. If these new KitKat builds continue to be as unstable as they are now (yes, even CM11 still has several glitches) i might ever revert to an older JB and try this myself!
For stability Gingerbread would be the best but at the same time it has some limitations getting to KK look.
