[Q] SDXC 64gb + 10.1 "fuse" Possible? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

First, I have to say I usually find answers in the forum so I do not usually post treads and therefore cannot ask questions in the other sub-forums besides the Q&A. I already posted a question tread for this question, but since i found new evidence I wanted to ask one more time....
The question is can I use my sd card 64gb sandisk sdxc with this cyanogenmod 10.1 and later releases without reformatting it?
I found this [http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/74513-why-doesnt-my-sdcard-work/] tread on the cyanogenmod forum that states it does trough fuse project. Where can I find such rom that has "fuse" in it?
Sorry if I missed out on any treads talking about this, yes I am a noob, and plz help! Sorry for bad English...

Afaik, you could always use the 64GB cards on CM/aosp roms, you just had to reformat it as fat32.
By default sdxc cards are formatted as exFat. Touchwiz has proprietary, closed source drivers for this which is why it works on TW roms, but not cm.

In addition to what Doc said, if you want, you can backup the data on the sdxc card to PC. A FAT32 formatted card is universally read on Touchwiz as well as CM.

hi and welcome to the forum!
as you guessed, there are hundreds of requests for sdhc support in this subforum and the BlueAngel accessories forum and unfortunately the answer is still no, there is absolutely no way to make it work.

There is a 4 GB non-SDHC card (Transcend), which works quite well. But nothing larger than this (AFAIK).

[Q] How to partition a new SDcard for ARHD 5.1.7 (ext4?)

Hello,
can someone explain me how to partition a (blank) new SDCard (32GB) for Android Revolution HD 5.1.7 and migrate the content of the old card to the new one?
The question is how to handle the new ext4 thing... and how to copy all relevant data to the right partitions without loosing something.
Thanks
Andreas

Hi Andreas,
Please do read the first post in the ARHD thread as well as the last few pages. Everywhere is clearly stated that the SD card isn't touched by the EXT4 formatting and should remain FAT32.
PLEASE READ for that is what a forum is about, and that is how I know the answer to your question....
Regards,
use PM partition SDcard
Thank you for your answer and sorry for my imprudent question.
I have to read that thread more carefully.

Dear adfree, thanks for your kindly reply. I use zcjk2 firmware for china, but it works well for most of zcjk2 users here. And if I changed a memory card, it will fix this problem. So I don't know what's wrong with sandisk card, and I tried to format ext2 with different software, different number of sectors per cluster, but is don't work.

Still only 9.72GB of storage after flashing GE Rom on 16GB Galaxy S4?

Pardon me if this has been asked I am a newb to android as I have been a heavy iPhone user for many years. Anyways I have an unlocked T-Mobile Galaxy S4 running on the Google Experience Stock Android Rom and it's showing that my storage is only 9.72GB. This is about the same amount when running the Stock T-Mobile Rom. My question is when I flashed to GE Rom wouldn't my Storage been a little bigger now that I don't have any of Samsungs bloatware or T-Mobile bloatware on there? I hear the Google Experience S4 has 12GB of storage left shouldn't I have about the same? If so, how do I get my storage to read more than the 9GB? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank You.

You don't get more storage. The GE version is partitioned differently. You don't want to mess with the internal storage partition.
Buy an external SD card. They are extremily cheap and will give you WAY more than the additional 3GB of extra storage you are looking for.
And please please please search before posting. There are a bagillion threads like this on the various S4 forums.
When you made this thread I promise you that XDA was suggesting at least 4 other threads that looked very similar to yours that it recomended you read before posting. (I know it did because it always does)
Please don't create duplicate threads withotu even attempting to search for your answers first.

Please don't make new thread for a simple question. That question is answered so many times in so many threads, but here is the answer. You need modified vold.fstab and you need to be root.

P.S:
If your config disappear after you restart the application(or restart phone),
Remenber to check "Backup config file" in setting.
