So I got the new android keyboard apk and version of Google now to work but could not get the 4.4 launcher to work properly. It just force closes. Anyone managed to get that apk to work properly on Xperia M

It seems the minimal requirement for the launcher is Jelly Bean 4.2.2

I have installed goole keyboard from play store. In app drawer has shown icon of keyboard. When i click on it, it asks if i want to diasble default keybord. Clickin on it yes and you have google keybord instead sony.

Can you give me a link to it as I can't find it. The apk I downloaded works fine. I just can't disable XPERIA keyboard from settings and the app doesn't ask me to disable it.

If you are typing something, a icon for "choose input method" appears in status bar, select the obe you want and go for it. This is most easiest and you can select any keyboard as per your need directly.

Use titanium backup to either freeze the keyboard app or remove it completely. If you remove it completely I reccomend you make Google keyboard a system app in case you need to do a factory reset.

No there is not anyway as far as i know but you could uninstall the keyboard though and if uninstall it the options won't be there .

yes it is possible to disable it but you can't uninstall it. go to settings > apps > all > xperia keyboard.
you won't find it in alphabetical order for word keyboard but word xperia will be in alphabetical order in the list

You can't actually disable it.
But I suppose you can make it a user app and then disable it.

I have downloaded the FTF file of the new 4.2.2 and if the 4.2.2 is like my Asus TF300 4.2 then it is not a bug. It is a new Android feature. Your developer option is simply hidden. You need to go to Settings >> About >>> and tap 7 times on your build #. The developer option will appear.
Again, I didn't upgrade to 4.2.2 but if it's like my tablet than this should work. :fingers-crossed:
I am not sure if this is an isolated issue, but my phone is suddenly using more ram than what is usually does. On 4.1 l, it hovers around 800-900mb free on my regular use, but now there's only 600-700 left. Not that it affects anything too much. I'm just bothered if when I play high end games

is it me or the camera quality is much better on JB firmware 307 than the new 4.2.2 423?
I feel a little glitch on this fw,,also the antutu score has decreased significantly... I've attached a screenshot of the same,, before I had a score of 20273... Now.its only 19575...also earlier I had a boot time of 37-38 seconds now it's 43 seconds.. I think the New fw us very heavy...does anyone face the same problem???

You get the developer Options, if you go to settings -> about... and tap the build number several times

Go settings>about phone>build number.. Several fast pressing on Build number and u will get developer option in settings..

Mine does not - The launcher is improved for me.
I am really digging the update so far. The launcher fludity is improved for me. I wouldn't worry about synethic benchmark scores.... Real world usage see's no difference in performance.
Also, Developer Options is still there - It's just hidden - Go to about phone under settings, and then tap the "Build Number" 7-8 times in a row to make the dev options come back. (This is with all 4.2.2 roms by default)
Mine lockscreen seems to get stuck while unlocking some times...

Album and Calender push it in system/app and set the permissions
Remember to Clear data, to avoid FC's

Um for some reason on my stock JB Acro, it says I cannot install clock app because of existing app with conflicting signature. I already cleared data before installing, but same problem pops up

What app not work at all???
Such as Walkman because if transparent Walkman is not good, theme of Walkman is more beautiful than transparent!
And Semcphone.apk is transparent too because Phonebook.apk is transparent. But when u make a call or someone call u the screen is white (or black) depend on your default theme of Semphone.apk => This is my purpose because transparent when u make a call or someone call u is not good, not beautiful because i have tested! :laugh:

Ok some app u must edit style.xml of app to get their theme belong to theme of framework!
But setting.apk work fine with me include Power management!
U want to use this to your Rom? If that => OK no problem!

Hey XM users, in this thread you can request me to theme apps for you, this thread is for people who don't how to decompile,recompile and sign a APK. If you don't know what I'm talking about for e.g. let's take the lock screen. You can ask me any apps like the SystemUI.apk.
I can theme it for you like change the hint, number of blind showed when you touch the screen so on.
The hint shown on the lock screen originally is "Swipe up or down to unlock":

Its possible to theme both of them.
Can you replace the status bar icons with the white ones from KitKat? The data activity indicators are broken when modded through xposed and gravity box. They should be in System UI

My bad. I forgot to attach the picture.
I have changed the icons with Gravity Box. As you can see the WiFi icon looks broken. So my request is: can you change the icons and reposition the arrows (or remove them) please?

Sorry man I can't do that as it is a modules that themed the status bar if you want it changed you have to talk to the modules creator.
Bro, can me make our statusbar like Xperia SP.

Hi theming cm11 so it looks like kk stock would be good like systemui settings home keyboard small apps and so on so basically xm & xl have a 4.4 somc debrand engine.

Sorry I wasn't using XM for awhile but now I'm back to using it I would get it done ASAP.

I was messing around a bit and renamed my default 4.3 systemui.apk to systemui.zip and then extracted it. I found some pretty weird stuff. Like this:

If you can see in the picture, the fourth picture from the top says quick settings. The name of that file is qs_coming_soon.png. Qs stands for quick settings i guess. Could we be getting something like this?
And to add the final nail in the coffin, i found actual pictures of things that are not used in our system. They were icons that were similar if not the same as the ones in the second picture.
What do you think this means?
Is it a message from sony?
Did i just find the holy grail?

Well I have seen these befor only but thought others too know about this.
I also have a feeling that if we can edit our systemui according to that of Z series we will get the extra quick settings.
I have got another set of icons.
Stock sony style.

We can change it back to aosp qs with that xperia flip settings module, and then we can add/remove icons with gravitybox etc.
Xda member xperiaz2 has already made z2 and z1 compact systemui for xm 4.3, and it works like a charm! Both has quick settings enabled..

Well we M Dual users don't have this choice.
I had used Xperia Flip module +GB in 4.2.2
It adds the quicksettings but the top bar still stays.
Quickpull done else down swipe option was necessary to vet to the tiles.
