Limited Access For New Members - About xda-developers.com

Hey there
so im new to the xda fourms, but i am NOT new to the programing and developing world, i made my account on xda for only one reason and that was to comment and give a bug report to 'Grarak' on his newest release of the android 4.4 kitkat rom. and because i am not a 'developer' by your standards i cannot do so.
i understand that new members shouldnt have the same abilities as people who have been part of the community for a long time but limiting new users access to discussing with developers and giving feedback on there work dosnt make sense to me.
so my question is, How do i gain access to talk on the developers forums

Simple straight forward answer ? Now your post count is 4 when you made 10 ( incidentally not a spam post) and after a few hours your 11th post on XDA can be done on the development forum. that's the answer to your question.
The MOD's will have NO choice but to Close this thread soon, as this has been addressed over and over again
I recently explained it here and you need to read this guide to understand it better.

That was helpful links. Thank you. Now lets feach that 10 post goal haha thanks again

You're not a special snowflake and don't deserve special treatment just because you feel you are better than other new users because of your experience. You need to follow the 10 post rule like everyone else. You've already got 7 so you are almost there anyway.

Sort thread by number of views

hey i was wondering how you sort threads by number of views, i like to do this and i guess its personal preference but it lets me know which threads are getting the most buzz so for example if one rom has more views then another rom i usually go with the one with more views because i think that more people are using it so it's got to be the best thanks for the help
agree
yeah the stats column sorts by replies, which can be good or bad, would much prefer it to sort by views.
sorry didnt look at the year, post was a year and 10 days old....not just 10 days like I thought
u can sort it according to your pref and ascending or descending .

Sorry to resurrect this thread but OP's question (and mine) isn't answered. How do you sort by views? Number of replies isn't always usefull.
I don't think you can at this point. You can request it here: (requests) From the Users to the Mods & Admins
The closest you can get is by clicking the circled section in the following pic.

It doesn't quite list them totally in order as to number of views, but it's close so it'll be roughly what you're after.

Yeah it does. It didn't notice that to start with, but its still a pretty accurate way of seeing threads with the most views.

People should stop posting wrong section and report directly to a mod.
Once the moderator does find out he/she then has to move the thread, and if there are "wrong section, stupid head" posts he/she has to delete them.
Less work makes for a happy mod.
I don't see why you guys waste your time posting if you don't know the answer to the question, Being able to edit settings in custom rom is important with out having to use pc. Is sad to see two post that don't provide anything
Well, they work for me on cm10...

And it's sad to see a post with such poor punctuation and grammar.
You know not to post in the development section for issues such as this, you've been a member for four years.
And my post wasn't even directed towards you.

Wow you failed to read the forum rules and have the nerve to tell people there wasting time... obviously you didn't graduate from school because if you knew how to read.. 1. You would have posted in the right section and 2. You would have knew how to use the search function because your question probably already has a post and answer.
I dont understand how hard that is to do. :silly:
If I learned one thing on XDA, it's this. Most people like to post in the wrong sections, because they know that they will get a faster answer and that more people will see it. They do it, despite the fact that they shouldn't. So, in theory, we should just ignore those that do it, because lets be honest...they know better and so should we. Now, I've also seen many members that know better, reply to these people and give them their answers, but they fail to see that, they are only feeding these people, to keep on doing it.

** Reddcoin | The Social Currency **

Hi there,
Let me introduce myself for starters. I'm a devoted Nexus & Android user and I'm using XDA for a couple of years now. One of the moderators (/u/rwest05 on Reddit) from this thread gave me permission to post this, so do not consider this as spam
Recently I started to develop my interest for crypto currency. Nowadays I'm involved in the Reddcoin team. Reddcoin is a coin (like bitcoin) mainly focussed on tipping. Reddcoin can be bought or mined using CPU, GPU or the more recent ASIC. Soon Reddcoin will switch to a new self developed system called PosV*. For all technical questions I want to refer to our FAQ* and if I got you attention be sure to also take a look at our website*.
What I'm trying to find out if the XDA community would like to implement (or for starters use) Reddcoin as their main crypto currency. We already have tip bots on Twitch*, Twitter, Reddit and soon IRC (#reddcoin on freenode). Reddcoin also has it's own API*.
So now you guys are wondering. What are the benefits for me in all of this. For starters Reddcoin has it’s own Broadcast* platform. So for instance if any of the XDA devs wants to announce something, they can use our platform for free to have maximum social reach. Second is that people can tip each other Reddcoins as appreciation for their work. And last but not least we have a light Reddcoin Android wallet (also available in the Play Store) that can be included in any custom rom.
Please let me know what you guys think. You can also PM me if you want to get either involved with Reddcoin, mining or both.
Cheers,
Lowww

No problem. Everyone is free to choose
I love the ReddCoin. I also hold many other coins, including Doge.
I created ReddAPI. If you have any questions, you can contact me about the API.
The API has an app competition going on right now.
The Reddit community will be voting on the winner. 1st place gets 5 million coins, that's [130.00] (now its 155 but when the value hits 7 sat, its 180.00) USD today, and hopefully much more later this year.
Big things are coming to ReddCoin. Keep a weather eye on the horizon.

Why would you put this in development section really!
You need to learn rules on posting in development section.

Hey there @HarvHouHacker -- sorry about the spam filter being a bit overzealous. I've manually marked your comments as "not spam" in order to hopefully train the auto moderation feature. I also adjusted the settings to make them slightly more relaxed. Hope this fixes the issue!
Thank you!
