[Q] Allshare Cast/Push2TV problem - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I have a stock rooted ROM on my samusng galaxy s iii. I also have a PTV3000 netgear push2tv device. Whenever I try to connect to it, my phone will say its connected, and the screen on TV freezes. Its like this for about 15 seconds then my phone says current connection will now end, and the TV goes back to the ready screen. Please help. What do I do to get them to connect successfully?

Screen mirroring problem

I have a miracast dongle (Netgear PTV3000), which can connect with my mobile (LG 240S), however, for my Note 10.1 2014, it can find the PTV3000 and connect, but after certain seconds, a message "Screen mirroring stop".
I have updated the firmware of PTV3000 to the latesrt version already.
Can anyone tell what's happen?
Thanks.

For some reason, it will not connect by just clicking on it. Try it this way, go into settings-screen mirroring- push and hold onto Push2tv - wait till a window pops up- choose connect with code- then type in the code that you see on your tv. That's how I got mine to connect. I had to do the samething on my note 3.

[Q] screen mirroring not working, hardware problem?

Hello everyone, I just bought a Samsung smart tv with screen mirroring feature and my note 4, my wife old note tablet connects with no problems, but my note 10.1 2014 edition gives me "unable to connect because of an hardware problem" message. I am not rooted, I have the U.S wifi edition. patch did not help either.
does anybody have a solution please. going crazy. spent arm and a leg for a smart Samsung TV and can not do a simple task.
Have same problem connecting to Sony cinema system. S4 connects with screen mirrowing but note note 2014 with same Android version gives connecting error. If I find solution I will let you know.

Also having Mirroring issues
I also have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) that is having issues with mirroring. I have an older TV and purchased a Netgear Push2TV device PTV3000 for wireless mirroring. When I try to connect to the Netgear device the Tablet usually fails to connect and displays the "unable to connect because of a hardware problem". I have been able to get it to connect, however, if I reboot the tablet, but if you disconnect and try to reconnect it will display the same error message.
Even if you do get it to connect it will drop out like clockwork about every 3-5 minutes. I tried to stream a movie to it and locked up every 3-5 minutes all the way through over and over. The movie will just freeze and then the tablet It will display something like "lost connection to the server " and you can report or reconnect. It will reconnect and start back where it left off, but quit again in 3-5 minutes. Very frustrating for a brand new 600 dollar device.
This is most likely a software problem if you don't have any trouble with your wifi connection.
I do not have any reason to believe my WIFI has any issues. I can stream the movie to the Samsung Tablet without any problem, it's only when I try to use the mirroring that problems occur. Also, I was able to mirror using the exact same setup with an android phone I had laying around that's about 3 years old and was able to 1) connect to the Push2TV much more readily 2) stream the movie without it locking up every 3-5 minutes.
I just bought a brand new Samsung smart TV 7250 series. Exact same problem. P600, US, totally stock. Not even root.

I just got the ptv3000, updated the firmware, and can connect no problems, except for the fact that it only mirrors a corner of my screen (only 1080p out of 1600p of the tab). I just can't figure out what to do. Yet I also saw that others had got it working. Why is it difficult with this tab.

Hi There, No need to worry. Please read below the fix.
Alright, here is the Fix for this. Please spread the word if this works for you. Because it worked for me. I didn't discover this solution so I can't take credit for this. Here it goes:
1. On your Note Pro/Tab Pro find All Share Cast from Samsung and UnInstall all the updates. Then click Force Close, all of this should be done in Application Manager.
2. Restart your Note Pro/Tab Pro (Very Important)
3. Using two fingers pull down the main screen from top down to unveil the controls menu. Touch Screen Sharing while the Miracast or other screen sharing service (Wifi Direct etc) is activated on Your TV.
4. Let it auto find it and auto connect..........Viola!

So I contacted Samsung customer support regarding this problem.
The first contact, they required me to do a factory reset, so in order to go any farther, I did that.
Once that was done, and the problem still existed, even before doing any updates or anything, I contacted Samsung Support again.
This time, they told me that I would have to send it in for repair at my expense (because mine is out of warranty; which pisses me off, because it was less than 3 weeks out of warranty.) Mind you, they never could tell me what the cost would be.
So apparently, I'm just not going to be able to screen cast from my SAMSUNG tablet to my SAMSUNG TV... even though screencasting from my Moto X works perfectly fine...
I do have squaretrade, but I'm not sure I want to claim that warranty just because of some screen mirroring not working...

The instructions didn't help chief. My tablet doesn't even have all share cast installed. Thanks for the idea though.

stock rom should have it. are you using a custom rom?
Nope, fully stock. Not even rooted. Is there some other name for it?

That's strange. try flashing latest stock rom for your device via odin. You can download it from sammobile

If I had the time I'd be happy to try, but I need this tablet for work right now, and I finally just got everything set back up from when I had to factory reset over the weekend. Maybe when I have the time in the future.
Thanks
All Share Cast replaced by Samsung Link

All Share Cast has been replaced by Samsung Link. Screen Mirror works in Chromecast app on S5 and Note 10.1 (2014) but uses the network so has some lag. Screen Mirror works with Microsoft Display Adapter on S5 without network or lag but get the hardware error on stock Note 10.1 (2014). Tried the All Share Cast Patch and that did not work either. Still looking.

[Q] AllShare Cast disconnects

Hello,
I own Galaxy note 8.0 N5110 WiFi and Samsung UE32F5500 Smart TV, both compatible for screen mirroring.
Unfortunately when I want to run AllShare Cast it connects to the TV, TV screen turns black to get ready for showing tablet screen, but then on tablet I got popup saying "Current AllShare Cast connection will end" and it won't work then TV swith back to HDMI source where I have TV decoder plugged in.
I'm running stock XXBMD1 4.1.2 rom, rooted with TWRP, all services running, etc. And I don't use AllShare Cast Dongle as it is not required for this tablet. Or is it?
I downloaded Triangle Away, tap reset counter then it reboots to counter removal screen, then i flashed stock firmware with stock kernel and recovery, did a full wipe and still nothing.
Weird thing thou, immediatedly after triangle away procedure when in download mode i have seen Flash count 1 and binary original, but after flashing stock firmware and trying to run allshare with no luck i had to restore my nand backup via TWRP and then before flashing TWRP in download mode i had both flash counter and binary set to CUSTOM. What tha hell?
How to make this work?
Althouh, other apps from Play Store work like showing TV screen on tablet or sharing pictures and video on TV, but those use own interface and it is not what it should be. I want it like through MHL where I can see tablet screen on TV EXACTLY, use apps I want to preview pictures or video.
What is the chance it will work with Allshare Cast Dongle or Miracast Dongle? Or it won't work either?

ok, try resetting the tv and hav nothing connected on its hdmi ports. once reset try a connection with the tablet.
depending on what you stream to the tv, some apps will not allow content to play when miracast is enabled. HBO go and FX app will break connection when enabled. So far bbc iplayer, xfinity tv, hulu and netflix will operate. some apps may allow streaming only after you start the video playback, by pausing and then start the mracast stream.

Cannot get Screen Mirroring or Wifi Direct to work

I want to cast my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 SM-T800 screen to my Sony 2015 XBR55X850C TV. When trying the mirror ing method the scanning on the tablet does not pickup the TV but when using the Wifi Direct the scan does see the TV and it shows on the TV that the Samsung is being registered. Afterwards the TV just goes back to the previous screen that gives directions for mirroring or to find if your device is supported (which is out dated). Am I not doing something afterwards. I am stuck? Never done this before and I sometimes I have a tendency to over-think things or become impatient and expect things to happen quicker than they normally do.
hello, wifi direct is for file transfer, is it possivle to have the tv updated? im using a samsung 55' smart tv and casting videos via smartmanager/youtube is just a click away however, initial pairing is done through your home wifi

Please Help, Screen Cast / wireless display is not working.

I am currently on Pixel Experience last Oreo ROM.
When i go in setting and then into cast it detects my tv and when i click on it to connect my tv it says it's connecting but did not connect.
Sometimes it connects but discounts automatically within 2 seconds.
Does anyone have any solution???
Or suggest me any other rom with working wireless Display.
Thanks
