I've used Tasker but only for NFC actions. NFC actions work fine.
Also, you plug in a headphone/charger, not plugin.

Hmmm guessing I'd need some sort of adapter to run a wired one?

Just a USB-OTG (On The Go) adapter. They run ~$5 online. MicroUSB on one end, female full USB on the other.
Then plug in the controller, it flashes all four lights, and just works. You may need to set up the emulator to map the buttons and D-Pad. I've only used it on a N64 emulator.

Lots of games have built in support for controllers like that, but I don't believe Grand Theft Auto specifically does. Otherwise : if you root and use something like "sixaxis controller" from the Play store, you can have it even emulate touch events and work with any game, with a little setting up.

I don't have an android phone, but you need to find out what you can use to skip songs on Spotify, whether it be a third-party app or a gesture, and then set Tasker to do that task. Then use an NFC app that supports Tasker integration, and then when you scan the NFC tag, it will run the Tasker task.
Too bad you have to subscribe

Subscriptions can be free. Google is your friend.
Hope you figure this out OP, good luck.

I diasbeld standard music app with Root Unistaller then made a tagg in NFC Task Launcher: Media, Media Next
I put Spotify as Default music app in Default app manager lite dont Know if that had annything to do with it.
For the pause play i used tasker and NFC Task Launcher. in tasker: task, i named it Pause, media, media control, toggle pause
in NFC task: Tasker just the name Pause
dont forget Allow external access in tasker prefrences
with NFC task launcher it didint work because it just paused for a sec then played again.

Galaxy s4 IR Blaster Capability

Would it be possible to use the ir blaster to control a fan that has a built in ir receiver? P.s. the fan came with a remote that has an ir port

I'm curious to this as well. I'm wondering if it'll work with an AC. I have a feeling it won't though.

I have confirmed an app named smart remote for s4 working on controlling my mothers window air conditioner
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda premium
I would love to see a truly universal remote app, NO TV guide, no other bloated CRAP, just a app that lets you tell it what kind of IR device you want to control and it says "Ok" and then starts blasting IR commands, and THAT'S IT.
I had a universal touch screen learning remote 12 years ago...why can't my damn $600 smart phone do that now?

Smart remote works great and the are loads of devices that can be controlled... If yours isn't available, just contact the developer. The only thing the app can't do is "learn", but that is because of the hardware anyway.

There is one.....it's called Smart Remote for Galaxy S4
Does anyone know how to add devices to the app?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda app-developers app
The developer(s) behind Smart Remote work FAST! My TV wasn't supported (Sigmac brand) and literally two days after I e-mailed the developer(s) about it, they e-mailed me back saying they had added support. It also works with my Vizio soundbar. Haven't tried my fan yet, though.

[Q]

Hi
I personnaly use my moto 360 to develop application.
Is there a way to avoid having the charging screen displayed while in charge?
Because developping is heavy for the battery usage, and from now, I can not use the watch while charging
If someone does have a solution?
disable the Motorola app in the watch.
