For the problem with the camera, which in this application uses cm11? Try putting this gallery 4.3 or this camera 4.4:
Gallery + Camera 4.3 https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8XcczeFW1zUNzMzTGNOYUNRcGc/edit?pli=1

I found a little bug, I don't know if it is really related to the ROM itself, but it didn't happen with others: I can install Aldiko ebook reader from Play Store, it works normally, but it won't survive a reboot! Every time I reboot the phone, Aldiko vanishes and I have to reinstall it again!
I don't know if it happne also with other apps, that's the only one I spotted up to now.

Any change for the rom 20131115?

A lot... My opinion is that is much better.Try it...

Here is a list of ART compatible apps: http://www.androidruntime.com/list

I've installed the ROM 10 minutes ago, and my back button doesn't seem to work and my keyboard won't pop up when i enter a text field. Other than that everything else seems to work properly. The icon resolution in the app drawer seems pretty low but i guess it's a Kit Kat thing.
EDIT:
Tried to fix permissions - didn't fix the keyboard nor the back button.
Installed Swipe - it works and then my back button started working too.
Is the lock screen supposed to be this laggy?
I can't find the notification settings
Can't add more pages to the home screen.

@spanorg, how noticeable are graphic glitches you've said about? Can you provide few screenshots?
I'm seriously considering upgrading to your ROM, because I couldn't care less about BT, but I'd like to know how serious are other issues.

When you change the display orientation the picture gets distorted for a second. Some parts of some apps go black from time to time including the browser. IMHO it's better to use his other ROM CM10.2 JB 4.3.1

Graphical glitces are very few and you won't understand from screenshots. For me,it's very minor bug. By the way the best is to try by yourself

I just couldn't find screenshots at all, that's it. Would you considered using this build at daily basis yourself?

I use this ROM for daily use.

Okay, flashed it anyway. So far the only broken thing I didn't knew about is the flip-stripe-kind-of-thingy, this little stripe which flips the notification drawer as you swipe on it - it doesn't work, or maybe I'm doing something not right. Glitches are there, but they are not that noticeable, and I can live with them for some time.
Adding desktops is not an issue, it's just new logic of working in 4.4 - you just have to long-tap on any icon in main "Menu", and drag it - and then you can create a new screen. After that, you can long-tap on empty space of any screen and change screen's order by dragging them any way you like.
In summary, if there will be workaround to fix these glitches and @spanorg can fix this drawer-flipper-thingy, this really could be considered as ROM for daily use.
I can presume that these glitches have something to do with graphic acceleration, because I noticed picture tearing while changing screens, as if graphics output is not accelerated at all. Unfortunately, I'm no expert particularly in ROM building, but if someone can check this assumption - it'll be wonderful.

If you want to try the famous ART machine, flash this gapps and set the ART from developers options and reboot.
1) Wipe all
2) Install ROM
3) Flash gapps
4) Set ART from developer options
5) Reboot
6) Wait... and enjoy.

Rolling back to cm 10.2, too many crashes this day :S, waiting for new build

[ROM] VillainROM AOSP R2 (IML74K - 4.0.3) GSM ONLY [05 Jan] -incl Advanced Power Menu

Hasn't it been a while since I posted on here? As some of you know, I've been insanely busy with www.freeyourandroid.com (which is going immensely well, by the way), so haven't had much time to work on the custom ROM side of things. In addition, due to work obligations (conflicts of interest), I have been unable to work on certain handsets. Luckily, though, the Galaxy Nexus is my own, personal contract phone; and I am free to mod-away!
So, I present you with:
VillainROM-AOSP-R2
This is a ROM compiled directly from the Android source code repo (branch = android-4.0.3 (IML74K), with Google apps/permissions, etc added. It is of course not odexed, so first boot will take a while. Subsequent reboots will be much faster. Here are a few screenshots, as I know how many of you guys won't download a ROM unless there are screenshots in the OP :

To be honest, I have never used it. I assume so though, as I added all the missing NFC stuff.
Great to have a GS2 expert here!
Excellent, thanks for this
Is there any way to keep your data like just wiping everything but the data?
I tried a full wipe the other day and TiBackup didn't restore all my system settings like data usage n' stuff
Can't wait to try this out!!! Thanks

GREAT NEWS! Villain's ROM have always worked great, I've used it before on my GS2 and loved it.
There are plans to add a lot to this AOSP, so please feel free to post suggestions!
Any chance of a flashable ZIP for the APM? I like stock but do miss it so much!
Or just let me know which file(s) I need from this ROM to add to my handset?

I can't guarantee it'll work, but should just be android.policy.jar and framework-res.apk
Backup your ROM first as there's a good chance it'll bootloop.

Have / Could you add the custom light levels to your ROM?
The Power Controll Widget in the Taskbar, like in the SGS2 ROMS would be nice
Is it possible to modify the process priorities for the UI to give them a higher level?
Thanks
Fantastic news that this ROM has been released!
welcome and thank you!
A few of requests please:
1. % Battery Mod
2. and also the search button mod alongside the home button
3. Disable vibration on slide to unlock feature
4. View dBm option in status bar
I know some of these are available as add-ons but I am having problems in them causing the phone to freeze etc
thank you so much in advance!
Another vote for custom brightness levels, the standard ones are just too dim. The fix Paul @modaco has done works great, so something along those lines.

1. Shen keeps asking for this, so I think I will add the percentage mod and 100 images.
2. I don't personally like it, but it's a very easy mod, so I can make it a flashable option in the future!
3. Could be a good addition... will look into it
4. Don't like this one again personally, but will look into making it a flashable option
used to use a GingerVillain ROM on my Desire .... produced by RichardTrip ?
Are you part of the same developer group ? If so the GV ROM was superb and Im glad to see you on board with the Galaxy Nexus
if you could modify volume levels so we didnt need to use volume+ that would be great

We don't see much of Richard Trip any more, but yes. I set up VillainROM with Pulser in 2009.
On another note, I'll investigate the brightness mod (not actually looked into it yet), and look at adding it to the next release.

This ROM is based directly on the source code straight from Google themselves, the way Android is meant to be. This ROM is produced by a collaboration of many different people, with the main development being done by Onecosmic himself. We strive to bring releases as often as possible and provide a stable AOSP ROM. As this is a work in progress, bugs are to be expected! Please check the known issue's before posting/reporting bugs.
Source code can be found here
If you can, please donate a small amount via paypal, we do this for fun and this is optional but it is greatly appreciated and it is a way for you to contribute. If you want us to support another Galaxy S type phone and you have an extra of it, we may consider supporting the phone if you donated it to us to work on. If you think you have a phone that we could support, PM me or any other Team ICSSGS members and we will discuss the possibility of us supporting it.
We do not support anything that is not produced by us!

[26 Dec 2011] (Ice Cream sandwich 4.0.2) [ICS MOD CM9 NOVA] BETA 6

Welcome to ICS MOD
ICS MOD is a rom based on Tytung's ASOP ICS rom Beta7 (Credits Tytung) with the CM9 framework merged and various fixes/tweaks included
from the ICS for Desire rom (Credits Sandvold & dk_zero-cool) and Dorimanx.
I have put alot of time in this creating a personal build and share it with you now as its running smooth and fast.
This is beta 1 so bugs could persist, tell me and we will work it out.
My meaning now is to open the rom and create one together with you (the community).
We will solve rom problems together and add/delete stuff that you want in the stock rom.
If you want to thank for this rom, go to their thread and please do because without them this rom would not exist.
Please stop requesting Tytung to include non AOSP material in his rom, you can ask here and we will see what advantages it will have on our rom and i will include it in future updates.
Keep his thread clean.
For now i included :
BASE ROM (tytung) :
Phone
Audio (firesnatch and texasice)
SMS
Data
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
GPS and AGPS (tytung and qwerty_7564)
Touchscreen
Vibration
Charging

It's nice to see a fellow Viking putting something together like this
I'll just wait untill the camera is fixed, because that's something I really use a lot.
By the way, your link to the petition doesn't work

No, camera drivers for ics dont exist yet
Not to be a pain but the USB fix is a hack.
Other then that: great work. Been waiting for something like this! Will swap from van Tytungs build to this since I like the (though limited) functions of CM.
Regarding CLK:
I think you just need to flash the Magldr version and after that just flash Tytungs CLK kernel and your done.

Glad to see more ICS love is spreading, I'm looking forward to try this but will be very busy all week at work, definitely will check it out this weekend, not sure what's inside the rom as of now , but you should check out the Nova Launcher for ICS if you haven't which I'm sure you've seen it and maybe add it as a default launcher, it's a customized version of the stock ICS launcher with many other customizable settings, and scrolling wallpaper, it's on the Nexus Prime forum check it out .

interesting!
backing up tytung b7 right now so I can try this one. Glad to see the notification drawer settings and power menu.
I'm on cLK, so I will try this ROM with tytung's cLK update.
I have one request for this rom, some data / apps 2 ext /sd option integrated. I'm using this one succesfully on tytungs: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20329543&postcount=2116
will report how it works on this ROM
Many CM stuff still doesn't work but, other than that, all smooth and nice.
Just one issue: it's seems that there's less internal space available than with Tytung's ROM
Succesfully implemented nova launcher, ics rom gui is faaaaaaaaaaaast
compiling beta 2 !
Nice. Thanks for a great ROM. I think this is slightly faster than Tytung`s rom. Internal storage is getting low when installing applications. I use 40ad2sdx-a2 to "extend" internal storage. I installed several apps, and now i have 974MB of internal storage left

It's testing and still WIP release so there still could be bugs.
This is compiled from sources (not ported binaries) version of CM 7.2 done by me using some of drapalyuk work.
In my opinion is much smoother and responsive than the 7.1 version (I did not tested ported 7.2 as I don't trust ported versions xd).
If you were using 7.1 version you dont need to make a wipe but it is advised - otherwise it is obligatory.
Rom is using mine kernel in version specifc for this ROM.
Please do not use any other kernel as it may cause problems with camera and video playback
Working
Almost everything including:
Bluetooth
USB thether with stock app
Haptic feedback (thanks to cjr123)
Camera preview & video
Headset button
Offline charging
Not working
Some problems with BT audio on phone call
Instalation:
Download zip to your phone
Get the Custom Recovery for p350
Reboot into recovery
Backup your whole phone (if you like risk you can ommit this step )
Wipe data, cache and dalivk cache (You dont need to if you are upgrading from previous release - but it may cause some bugs so it is advised anyway)
Choose Flash zip menu
Flash downloaded zip
Reboot and enjoy
Also you may need to install Google Apps to have Android Market & other google applictions from here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_Version/Google_Apps

Worked like a charm, thanks, I have been trying to get custom ROM on my ME for a long time!
wow, that's great. I'll wait until the fix 100%, and will definitely use it. thanks for CM7.2
wow
Wow! Cyanogen compiled from sources! Great.
Please make it free of Bugs . It will be the best ROM ever.
Thanks!
Whats next? Did you try compiling ICS?

OK Im waiting
I tried the P500 ported version on my girlfriends phone but it had a few problems I noticed:
1. the haptic feedback doesn't work on the bottom softkeys (menu, home, back, search)
2. when in-call pulling up the dialpad to input some numbers, the last line (with keys #0*) is not visible, which is a shame because she needs them to input pre-paid card codes.
Can anyone confirm if these things are or aren't working on this version?
Another question not directly related to this particular ROM - is it possible to get the stock LG keyboard? The reason she needs it is because it has 4x3 keyboard in portrait mode, which is useful on such a small screen, and all the other 4x3 keyboards I have tried from the market don't support language-specific symbols. I tried to find some .APK in the backups I made of the stock ROM, but no filename seemed to relate to a keyboard.
Thanks in advance, appreciate your work!
Im waiting too!!!!

for 1. do this:
Code:
1. open root explorer or another file browser
2. go to /system/usr/keylayout und mount with r/w
3. open the file qwerty.kl with texteditor
4. change the BACK, MENU, SEARCH, HOME values from WAKE_DROPPED or WAKE to VIRTUAL
5. save the file
6. restart your phone
7. don´t forget to activate haptic feedback in cyanogen settings
for 2. use this phone.apk:
mediafire.com/?6wreiul8c3s42rz
Thanks for the Haptic Feedback fix, I will try it and integrate in next release
For the keyboard - in this rom it should be okay - if it is not please let me know!
BTW: New release with BT and USB Tethering

Good luck my friend.
Now testing the new update.
So in theory, this should be smoother and better than the one ported from P500... Correct?
Sent from my Optimus Me using XDA App
Thanks for the solutions. Any ideas on where to look for the stock keyboard app (what to look for in the backup files)?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA App
There are 3 MENU values in kwerty.kl, whitch one to change? when i change all to VIRTUAL home button doesn't work at all....

yes, also there should be no problems with oversized GUI as this is made for LDPI.
The second thing is that CM 7.2 is still in progress and now compiling Nightly build is piece of cake and with port you should wait for the port build and then port it.
Also there could be bugs which cannot be solved without compiling native version
sweet...
re-downloading because the zip DL'ed directly to phone presented a problem and doesn't boot... its stuck in the tux screen.. can get into recovery, though...

E:Corrupt file:
system/app/Settings.apk
E:Verification failed

I cant wait to see ics on lg pecan *__*
Funny thing, copied (again and again) to the SDCard and the verification failure happens on Settings.apk and on system/xbin/irssi.
Again and again because I keep DL'ing once again and again and keeps failing on those two... (Been doing it 6 times now, going for the 7th)
Camera preview FIX
Hi pax0r, I've found the fix for the blank camera preview:
1. extract the file copybit.pecan.so from /system/lib/hw in vivek's 7.2ROM to your sd card.
2.Open root explorer in your P350 and go to /system/lib/hw and erase copybit.msm7.so (dont forget to mount r/w)
3.With root explorer, copy the copybit.pecan.so into /system/lib/hw and set permisions to rw-r-r
4,Now it is working !

hi guys
Can I shift from to cyanogenmod to this ROM? I'm running D802 asian[philippines] version? Thanks
I love stock ROMs with mod features like this. I prefer stability for daily use, not just for testing and changing ROM very often.
i cant install freedom app in this rom, all other apps still ok
