There's an Overclocked Kernel In the Development section, I remember seeing it.
EDIT: Okay, found it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1430677

The best thing about this unlock from HTC is we have a whole new bunch of people ready and willing to help others now that they've been helped.
Cheers to yourself, Gloris, etc.

Hi,
From Faux123's thread (simple but clear):
What is a Kernel? The Kernel is the Foundation in which everything else builds upon in any software system.
[Car Analogy]: Kernel is like the Engine, Electrical system and the Transmission to a car. The Library, Framework and the Apps [AKA ROM] are the body frame and the rest of the Car.

For those kind of questions Google is your best friend
Don't know if you have a cdma/gsm/Sprint Gnex but here are a few kernels:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1508068
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1586508
And,please,do not ask which one is best:there's already a bunch of questions like that here or in the general section.
Read the last feedbacks in each thread of each kernel and test by yourself...
The dev section and the search fonction are awesome!
And it's KERNEL not KERNAL...

you can make a kernel with init.d support by yourself. you can get the full instruction in mikstev's post about droidwall.

best is very relative. if you need high performance you sacrifice battery life. if you need a lot of features you sacrifice free memory. if you don't know what you want, my advice stick to stock kernel. or just make little modification like kurotsugi says.
@leodasal2
a lot of custom rom have modified boot.img with stock kernel and init.d. you can use that

thank you bro
one more thing
is this rom compatible with my lt18a and is it better than the stcok android 4
i dont have an idea of the rom u have linked up, but if you want any recommended rom in XDA dev section go for JJ hybrid or Xperia pureness rom or jelly sandwich its becuase its supported here and you can find all support you need int respective rom threads.
speaking of diffrences from your stock rom these are higly tweaked more fast and stable roms . just go through the OP of each rom for thier features and you will know what im saying.
and if your bootloader is unlocked use LUpus or Archnight kernels with these roms to tweak battery and performance or ur arc s.
:good:

Mooded rom is a bit old... and there is no support, cause the developer is currently banned from xda.
