You must run that tool to full root your phone, if you don't, you will still have auto reboot if you want to use folder mount or link2sd.

So far this is the best ROOTING method EVER..
Thanks for sharing this !
I read somewhere it works on all android devices.. is it TRUE?

No, this method work just for android without master key bug patch, because this method use that bug to exploit the su binary and luckily sony not patch that bug.

strange when I tried to root, a dialog box appeared saying "Device not found". Any advice? thanks
Edit: I suspect I need to install the Sony companion software to get the drivers! My first sony phone
Edit 2: Yes, that was the problem! Thanks for the rooting tip!

This method has fully rooted my Xperia™ M Dual C2004.
I just used this Application and then used ES File Explorer to Mount R/W and viola! No reboot problem.
EDIT : THIS WILL NOT GIVE FULL ROOT. FOLDER MOUNT CAUSED REBOOT. BUT AFTER APPLYING THE PATCH FROM [NUT] EVERYTHING IS FINE.

Unroot
Is there also a method on how to unroot? For warranty concerns just in case

You can unroot, there is an option 'full unroot' on SuperSU settings.

Full Root
I just bought my Xperia M C1905 today, is this full root? Or not? Or will become full root after using Tool by Anto Kus? :highfive: One more thing, does it matter which FW version is installed? I currently have 15.1.A.1.9 but there is an update 15.1.C.2.3 and before I root this, I want to get that update. Please advise.

Update first, then root and use the tool
This message was brought to you from my Sony Xperia M C1905 using Tapatalk.

Hi, thank you very much for this tool, it really is the simplest.
I noticed that I get adverts in my apps now, but I have all the ad-blockers installed. I tried the update fix as well. Previously, I used V-root which definitely did give enough permission to block ads. Has anyone else experienced this i.e. some root issues?
I did try uninstalling everything and retrying a few times but it's still the same.

No, I didn't faced any such problem.
But ya this didn't gave me full root without usin the tool by [NUT].
So this method, as stated in the op itself, helps in rooting but isnt a complete root.

Edit: I want to try rooting using Framaroot, but since I followed this, is there anything I should do first before proceeding with framaroot?

[APP] One Click Root/UnRoot I9000 (Eclair and Froyo) Mac and PC

Team,
This One-Click Root process will copy over the rooted-update.zip or unroot-update.zip file then reboot your phone. Follow the instructions in the CMD prompt that launches.
Rooting adds the following to your 2.1 Eclair system and unrooting removes them:
/system/xbin/busybox (version 1.17.1)
/system/xbin/su
/system/app/Superuser.apk (version 2.3.1)
and links /system/bin/su to /system/xbin/su

Warning: I am not responsible for bricked phones, rooting can void your warranty....
Requirements: Dot Net Framework version 4: Click Here
Rooting Instructions:
1. Make sure your phone is on USB Debug mode: (MENU > Settings > Applications > Developement > USB debugging = Checked )
2. For Windows x86 and x64 systems make sure that the Samsung Drivers are installed. You can get them here.
3. Extract the contents of GalaxyS_I9000_One-Click_Root.rar to a folder.
4. Connect your phone to your PC via the USB cable and launch the file "Galaxy S I9000 One-Click Root" file.
5. Based on the version of the Operating System you are running, click the "One-Click Root 2.1" button for Eclair or "One-Click Root 2.2" for Froyo Warning: Not Both!!. This will launch a command prompt follow the instructions in the CMD window.
Done! You are rooted.
Mac Instructions:
Download the app: here, mirror.
It requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher.
Rooting Instructions:
1. Make sure your phone is on USB Debug mode: (MENU > Settings > Applications > Developement > USB debugging = Checked )
2. Connect the phone to your computer.
3. Eject both the internal and external SD card from your computer and turn off USB storage in the notification area.
4. Click one of the buttons depending on what you want to do.
5. After the phone has rebooted into recovery select "apply sdcard:update.zip" for I9000 and I9000M and choose "Reinstall Packages" for the US models using the volume keys and then press the home button for I9000 and I9000M and the power button on the right top side for US models to start the process.
=====================================================================
Done! You are rooted.
=====================================================================
UnRooting Instructions:
To UnRoot follow the same instructions except click on the Unroot button. If you rooted using another process you can use this process to unroot as long as you didnt load a rom that created links to busybox. I would suggest to restore you phone back to stock ROM before even needing to unroot and if you are on stock unroot all you want otherwise what is the point of unrooting.
=====================================================================
Getting Started with Android After Rooting:
Superuser app issue: Found out the issue with Superuser App crash. If you install new superuser 2.3.1 the app will crash if you click on the Info Tab. The first Time you One-Click Root you will need to run something as superuser which will add an item the superuser will track then the Info Tab will not Force Close and will display details of the tracked app requesting root access. New Superuser bug but easily ignored.

From the title: (Eclair and Froyo)
So I guess its for 2.2 also.
Will this work on any build in 2.1? Does this have superuser + busybox?
Very nice.
Does ist work with JP1 / JP2 /JP3? Anyone have tested?
Other Kits go back to JP2 to root and after back to JP3.
Ive finished updating the OP.
I got the root for 2.2 from hani1980's post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=737817
The root for 2.1 and 2.2 contains busybox, su and Superuser.apk.

You are correct. I haven't tested this yet, but with the latest JP3 you can not get root by simply applying update.zip. You need to switch back to JP2 kernel and then copy over busybox and su. Then flash JP3 when done again. I do not think this tool does that... I can't see how all of that can be automated.

Everything you need is in OP
No SDK needed. adb is included in the download.
Just need Drivers installed and .net framework4.
Look at requirements above. then follow the steps.
Hope this helps.
Cheers for that! That was simple.
Thanks You!!!
How did you manage to automate the method when rooting JP3? I can not see how this can be automated.

Use the method described here, it will root JP3: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showpost.php?p=47625300&postcount=979
Root for jp2, am I wrong?
I'd say wait for CM6. Then flash it from rom manager when its out should not be much longer. But I do know and love the adventurous.

Read the OP again, maybe even the whole thread (it's only two pages after all) - he says it's not tested with JP3 and that it's not automated for it either...
Oh, and while I'm being facetious, you may as well learn to use the "Edit" button rather than double post

Sorry about the double post.
If you read through the thread you will find out that the OP replied to a guy who apparently wanted to get it working on JP3. Therefore I also asked the OP how he made it or if work for JP3. He has not replied to that, so I suspect he is only using the "flashing update.zip" method - which will not work with JP3. So, I did read the OP, you just misunderstood the problem

Requirements:
Flashtool 0.9.13 by @Androxyde
XZDualRecovery 2.7.76 BETA or newer.
Current rooted FW version: 10.4.B.0.569, Maybe others too, let me know!.
Special features:
SuperSU integrated in system, FULL ROOT!
XZDualRecovery 2.7.86 BETA (CWM & PhilZ Touch & TWRP) pre-installed;
init.d support (read how to enable)
For both locked and unlocked bootloaders!
In the following guide I suggest you use an external SDCard but that's just good practice, you can use your internal storage or even an USB OTG storage device in TWRP if you like to install, that's no problem!... If you are modding and the likes, best is to have an external sdcard, just for safeties sake.
If you are unable to download torrent files directly, have http://zbigz.com/ do it for you!
How to update to 10.4.1.B.0.101:
Files:
For C6503: Download C6503_10.4.1.B.0.101.flashable.zip (Bittorrent: 823MB) and C6503_10.4.1.B.0.101_Stripped.ftf (17MB)
Save them somewhere you remember;
Put 'C65XX_10.4.1.B.0.101.flashable.zip' on (the external) SDcard1;
Put 'C65XX_10.4.1.B.0.101_Stripped.ftf' inside the Flashtool/firmwares folder;
Create a backup of your phone in TWRP and don't forget to backup the contents of 'SDCard' (the internal storage!);
Flash 'C65XX_10.4.1.B.0.101.flashable.zip' in TWRP;
NOTE: do not reboot but go back to the main menu, then go to reboot->power off;
Flash everything in 'C65XX_10.4.1.B.0.101_Stripped.ftf' using flashtool;
Reboot to system.
The first boot will be slow and after some time at the boot animation you will see Android start optimizing the apps on your phone.
Enjoy! :laugh:
Known XZDualRecovery Issues:
Busybox Updater/Installer: If you have XZDualRecovery installed, un-install any Busybox updating app/tool as most if not all of them will install a version of busybox which does not support the lzma compression applets XZDualRecovery depends on. The version installed together with XZDualRecovery is very stable and I have yet to hear anyone complain about it's stability.
How to report errors:
Please, before shouting out "It doesn't work!!1!" or "I lost root!" or even "My phone reboots when remounting /system RW!!" try the following:
Restore any JB 4.2.2 FTF using any means you are familiar with so you can try again.
Root it using any means you are familiar with.
Install XZDualRecovery;
Update to 10.4.B.0.569;
Then try to update again using TWRP.
If it still fails something from there on: LOGS!!.
NOTE: The important ones can be found in /cache/recovery and in /sdcard1/XZDualRecovery, pack them up and send them to me or attach them to your bug report.
Thank you
Tips and Tricks
Easy switching between locked and unlocked bootloader states!
NOTE: USE TWRP ONLY for this guide.
NOTE 2: You NEED to have XZDualRecovery 2.7.43 or higher to make this work.
Create a backup, including the Trim Area (TA!)
Unlock your bootloader
Restore backup without TA
Create a new backup of your UNLOCKED TA
Restore the previous TA backup to relock your phone.
Done :good:
Now you can switch between locked and unlocked bootloaders quick and painless: no more system wipes and you can basically do whatever you want
How to enable init.d support:
Open a filemanager app and navigate to the location where the XZDualRecovery folder is located and go in to it. Open XZDR.prop as a text file and set dr.initd.active to true.
NOTE: For this guide ROM it means the init.d script called 99SuperSUDaemon will kick in to action, so it's best to disable (by setting chmod 644) /system/etc/install-recovery.sh for the time being or to clear it's contents.
Done
And i'll have this one too, just to be sure.
sir how to update if i came from fw 569 with root,xzdr and deodex(LB)?just update it?no need to wipe?

Sorry, I success flashed the the 101.flashable to my C6502 but I cannot flash the stripped.ftf via flashtool. There was a message "ERROR - Error flashing. Aborted". How to solve this problem?

Maybe you need to install flashmode driver for your phone.

I can confirm that Xposed Framwork (Xperia Test) won't work with this fw 101. After Install/Update and reboot, you got bootloop. Must go into TWRP to install Xposed-disabler.
I'm using xposed v2.4.1 with .101 work just fine.

I am not sure... Just only restart the flashtool. Also after flashing the ROM dan Off (not reboot), I just On my C6502, complete the setup, and reconnect to the flashtool in flashmode. That's all friend.
Works fine, thanks NUT!

Once again a beautiful and very well done job buddy. Everything working perfectly here, so far, so good.
Thanks for your continued support on out Xperias.
Best regards
already flash this 101 fw and Xposed Framework also work perfect. But it seem there is still a bug on the power button, just like in 569
I have a rooted (locked BL) 10.3.1.A.67.
Someone have any idea if this will work as well?

Requirements:
Flashtool 0.9.16 by @Androxyde
XZDualRecovery 2.7.90 BETA or newer.
Current rooted FW version: 10.4.1.B.0.101.
Special features:
SuperSU integrated in system, FULL ROOT!
XZDualRecovery 2.7.123 BETA (CWM & PhilZ Touch & TWRP) pre-installed;
init.d support (read how to enable)
For both locked and unlocked bootloaders!
In the following guide I suggest you use an external SDCard but that's just good practice, you can use your internal storage or even an USB OTG storage device in TWRP if you like to install, that's no problem!... If you are modding and the likes, best is to have an external sdcard, just for safeties sake.
If you are unable to download torrent files directly, have http://zbigz.com/ do it for you!
How to update to 10.5.A.0.230:
Files (Find them on the DevDB Download tab!):
For C6502: Download C6502_10.5.A.0.230.flashable.zip (890MB) and C6502_10.5.A.0.230_Stripped.ftf (17MB)
For C6503: Download C6503_10.5.A.0.230.flashable.zip (902MB) and C6503_10.5.A.0.230_Stripped.ftf (17MB)
For C6506: Download C6506_10.5.A.0.230.flashable.zip (903MB) and C6506_10.5.A.0.230_Stripped.ftf (17MB)
Save them somewhere you remember;
Put 'C65XX_10.5.A.0.230.flashable.zip' on (the external) SDcard1;
Put 'C65XX_10.5.A.0.230_Stripped.ftf' inside the Flashtool/firmwares folder;
Create a backup of your phone in TWRP and don't forget to backup the contents of 'SDCard' (the internal storage!);
Flash 'C65XX_10.5.A.0.230.flashable.zip' in TWRP (if you notice your phone reboot during the update process, update to the latest XZDualRecovery and try again);
NOTE: do not reboot but go back to the main menu, then go to reboot->power off;
Flash everything in 'C65XX_10.5.A.0.230_Stripped.ftf' using flashtool;
Install XZDualRecovery;
Update to 10.4.1.B.0.101;
Then try to update again using TWRP.
If it still fails something from there on: LOGS!!.
NOTE: The important ones can be found in /cache/recovery and in /sdcard1/XZDualRecovery, pack them up and send them to me or attach them to your bug report.
Thank you

Hi,
Can I go straight from 4.2.2 FW .67 rooted or do I need to update first to 4.3 FW .101 ?
I didn't try it yet, downloading files first.
It works with locked bootloader, right?
Thx!

It should work, but as I have no ZL to play with nor did I test it on anything else then 101 I'd say: create a solid backup and just go for it. In theory it should work between any stock rom based on 4.2.2 and up.

Once more we must thank @Nut a lot for making it possible to have the latest Xperia FW with root. Thanks very much. Still I have one question. On .569 and .101 though I installed the SuperSU fix, after installing rom, I still had problems using Foldermount with remount/reboot issue.
Then I solved it again applying your Remount/Reboot fix tool kit.
Could you please tell me if the issue hapens again with 4.4.2, I will be able to fix with the same tool?
Best regards.

Did you do a full wipe or just update?
I don't get it to work. I'm always stuck on "formatting system" and screen flickers. Tried both updating and full wipe first... Any ideas?

Update xzdualrecovery to the latest version and try again, if it still fails...
I know this is going to sound odd but do it, for real:
Grab another external sdcard or use an USB otg device....

Foldermount really needs to get fixed somehow because the reboot remount fix is fully integrated in xzdualrecovery... It's probably even better in xzdualrecovery then in the fix... Foldermount probably does something which just sets all alarms off in the rom or screws about with something zygote goes mad about...

Root for T2 Ultra Dual

Ok. Finally, there is a way to root your phones without unlocking the bootloader.
Please download vroot from below link:
You need to have USB debugging switched ON in your phone.
http://www.mgyun.com/vroot
and run it from PC.
Note: I had to run this tool from PC twice to make it work. The same could happen with you. Its 100% working!
Thanks

Below are the steps to overcome your difficulty...
1) root using vroot, i suppose u have already done this.
2) install super su.
3) disable vroot by going to settings>apps>all apps. Find vroot, click and then disable it.
4) run super su. It will give a prompt to update su. Select yes and then select normal.
5) your phone might boot abnormally. If it does run super su again. And then again follow the previous step.
6) finally you will see that super su has become your main su app and then you can enable vroot.
7) run super su again and then it will show conflict between vroot and super su. If it does, uninstall vroot from within super su.
Thats all. Do give your feedback. Its very important to disable vroot app to make super su the default app.

Hi,
Please answer below questions:
1) Were you able to successfully root t2 ultra using vroot? Please install "root checker" app and then let me know.
2) If root was successful, did you disabled the vroot app from settings>>apps>>all apps>>vroot befor running SuperSU?
Thanks

I cannot understand the meaning of joy in backing up TA keys.
This method is very good for people who do not want to unlock the bootloader and still want root functionality.
The major issues that i was able to solve since yesterday in my rooted phone are:
1) Solved the low sound problem
2) Made Superior Auto camera mode work in full 13MP resolutions.
3) Install the latest Android L theme for rooted phones.
4) Install the Screen off animation.
5) Activated the in built call recorder in T2 Ultra.
Possibilities are endless. Will come up with more items. And yes, for now atleast I don't need to unlock the bootloader.
Thanks

First of all you need to root your phone.
1) Low sound problem was solved using Sound Mod which is available in CWM thread by doomLord.
2) Installed Xposed framework and then installed Cyber-shot xposed module to enable to 13MP in superior auto mode.
3) This is available in Gizmobolt.com homepage. For complete fun, rooting is required.
4) Xposed module named ScreenOffAnimations.
5) Again used Xposed module for the same.
Thanks

Yes ... u are correct. But atleast we have a root.
However, you are correct. Working as root without unlocking the bootloader seems a bit risky too. If something goes wrong for eg. bootloop etc. there might be no way to recover. Am I correct?
