[Q] Unable to make or receive calls

Hi,
Last night I rooted to Android Revolution HD™ 2.1.5 on my GSM Galxay Nexus, the procedure was the same as always nothing strange happened.
But since then I am unable to make or receive a call. I have tried going back to stock rom but still suffer from the same issue.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

did you wipe data/cache/dalvik when you flashed the stock rom? and did you try restoring factory images from google (includes recovery, kernel and radio).

Yeah I ran the super wipe as well as clearing the data/cache/dalvik.
I also restored the images from
code[dot]google[dot]com/android/nexus/images[dot]html

Did you actually flash the gsm version? Or did you flash the lte?

As far as I can tell it was the GSM.

Ok, have you tried a different rom?
Did you flash a different radio?
Have you reflashed the rom?

Re-flashed the rom after a complete wipe. No Effect
Flashed Gummy. No Effect
Flashed just radio-maguro-i9250xxkk1.img from ITL41F. No Effect
That is when I took it all the way back to ITL41F and let it update to ICL53F OTA.
But still no effect.
I really am at a loss.

Did you make a backup before flashing the rom?
Can you text from it? Or browse the internet without using wifi?

Yeah, I have tried to revert to the backup.
Also I can browse on 3G and also text. But as soon as I try and call it times out, and I never receive incoming calls.
EDIT: P.s. Thank for the on-going ideas.

If you go into settings and into about phone does your phone number show up?

Phone number is there, -67dBm 23 asu Signal Strength
Only thing that looks odd is Mobile network state - disconnected

Does your IMEI number show up?

Try manually selecting a mobile network in the settings. Or dial *#*#INFO#*#* in the dialer. Then click phone information. Press the : button (aka menu) to change the radio bands to USA. (or Auto)

I think it might be time to clean wipe to stock again and RMA.

I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus and just unlocked and rooted it Wugs toolkit. I flashed the Android Revolution 2.1.5 ROM following the developers directions however I am having the same problem as xxyondoxx. After flashing the ROM I have no cellular or data connection. Under "About Phone" my phone number does not show up, no network, no IMEI number. Wireless works.
I restored back to the nandroid back-up I created before flashing the Android Revolution ROM and everything is working fine.
How can I get a data connection after flashing the Android Revolution 2.1.5 ROM? Now that I am unlocked and rooted I would like to be able to further customize.

Did you flash the wrong version of the rom? gsm instead of cdma?

Yes, I just realized I did. I don't see a download for the CDMA version. Any idea where to find it?

Yeah make sure you try and only get stuff from the cdma android development side

so recently i installed slim rom 4.1.2, and im only getting edge speeds help? wont go to 3g/hspa+??

If you're in socal i can help you get it fixed! if not, google jtag! goodluck! btw your the 4th person today that lost there 4g data by flashing customs roms! I guess its a hit an miss! Trust me i know how u feel right now!! sucks ass!!!

You Probably lost Your IMEI number look in setting and then go to about phone and check the status of your IMEI. If its says 0 or nothing at all youve lost it..

forgot to ask you something. Is your imei still intact? or does it show 0 or 00? if it shows 0 or 00 you can still fix it! no need for jtag but if you still have your imei and you have no 4g data you will need to get it jtag!

Thats not always the case! You can still lose your 4g data and still have your imei intact! this happened to me and a few other members on here! In my opinion losing your 4g data and still having your imei intact is worse than losing your imei!!!

Everything still intact :/ would T-Mo take it back and give me a new one? if i return to stock and reset binary?

i tried on Slimbean, no dice. Later im going to try Stock Odin and go from there and see what happens. Also i didnt lose data after the flash of a rom, i lost it after i flashed couple toggles and status bar mods for FrostyICS.
EDIT: I Fixed it!!! I messed around with the mobile network settings and I got it back!

[Q] help! t989d 4.1.2 no signal!

hey guys, like the title says, ive flashed with odin fw 4.1.2 onto my t989d and everything went fine except for the fact that i dont have any signal now, it cuts in and out, when its on it shows no bars and quickly doesnt work again.... i flashed to 4.0.4 and that loaded fine with bars showing, but i really wanted jb for battery saving purposes. im a newb at this and any help would be greatly appreciated! i tried updating with kies from 4.0.4 and it said my firmware was not supported or something... build number is jzo54k.t989uvmc6
baseband is t989dtllg2. i also went into recovery mode, flashed cache and flashed the internal and still the same... please help guys! any help is greatly appreciated!

Try flashing back to an older radio. I I see you are on uvmc6 radio which is the newest.

there is no spoon.....

I think you need to manually set up your apn settings. I always have to on 4.1.2.
Also, I had to use the new T-Mobile radio, the Telus tlle4 didn't work for me. Hopefully when Telus puts the update out they'll have a new radio. The tlle4 had better reception. The new radio works OK tho.

sorry, but how would i go about flashing these radios to my phone? do i have to be root? i really dont want to root or put cwm or anything on my phone... i just want it to be clean t989d official firmware...

I am not sure how you flash a radio if you aren't rooted with cmw or twrp recovery.
You would probably have new radio if you installed stock 4.1.2 and more than likely need to still set up your apn settings manually ....did for Telus anyway.
Just Google "jelly bean add apn settings Telus" or koodo, whatever you're on. The settings after installing stock are wrong.
Sorry, yes you said you have new radio. So should just need the correct apn settings.

its not an apn issue, its a radio issue... even when theres no sim i should be get emergency calls only with bars, but i just get a circle with a line across indicating no signal whatsoever.... im trying to flash radios now

tmobile has a number of good radios in .zip format
if u don't want to root, try flashing with odin
there is a thread with links to tmo radios.

one more thing when using odin check Phone not PDA, since u gonna be flashing a modem(radio) file

Need AT&T Value Pack Modem.

Is the Modem thats on the value pack the same as the Orginal Modem from the Orginal E980 Rom? If not can someone extract the value pack modem ? Just the modem I can make my own flashable zip.
Its just ANY rom I run besides the AT&T E980 rom after flashing the Modem from the first AT&T Rom my Service in low service areas is really bad! -105 ish to -111 running AT&T stock rom its -90 ish to -100.
I perfer to run the Telcel E980H rom to remove all the AT&T junk and its runs a lot smoother but service sucks! Out in town and cities its fine and normal. Its not a bad service area as the other phones work fine and when flashing mine back to stock it starts to work a lot better

The value pack modem will cause you serious battery drain.

Well Id rather have battery drain than hardly able to use my phone due to service problems.
But Have figured out its not the modem causing the signal problems, Its the rom. Any idea as to why I get better and no problem service in a low service area on the stock AT&T rom but anything else I have issues with service but still only in one location.

If you're going to update to the value pack, I suggest using Freegee AFTER THE UPDATE, install CWM(if you want to use twrp instead you'll need HKFriends' Kernel or you'll have touch issues in twrp). Flash the stock modem(the original one), and you should be good to go. The value pack modem causes some major wakelocks.

Honestly I have no clue why that's happening. I do know some things changed with the new modem to give better service but maybe it's the RIL files in the Rom? How about your APNs that you are using?

I DONT want to run the Value rom lol. Thats the whole point of this post haha.
NO modem gives me better service I just thought I`d try it but i did and its the same issues.
Its not the APN im using the phone and pta but its not data issues the signal issues happen when the APN is removed with voice calls.
One thing left what are the RIL files? Where Are they located? That I am not educated on.

Yes it does, FreeGee has NOTHING to do with the modem, This is for flashing the modem you download from a link using CWM which is installed by freegee.

Unknown imei Moto g6 play.

Hello I was rooting my Moto g6 play and made the awful mistake of not backing up efs partition ( I know Dumb). I got it all done and booted up and now unknown imei. I was wondering if there where any tech savvy people on here that would know how to fix this problem. I know the Imei and if I fastboot getvar I can see the iemi. Plzz help thanks.

Just flash stock firmware. thats a pretty big mistake to make lol I'm pretty sure I made it quite clear in my guide to backup at least 2 or 3 times. But just flash stock firmware using the commands at the bottom of my guide. Even if the bootloader is locked the commands will work to reflash it still. The need links for stock firmware is also in the guide. And I will say this. If you took the newest update before rooting then you will have to wait for that firmware to be uploaded because its not uploaded yet.

The newest build is only a few days old so it will be nearly impossible to find online. And it has a different baseband and radio than the previous build. But the October update is OCP27.91-150
As long as the imei isn't zero you should be able to get service back. I had the same issue when I flashed an older firmware like a moron. But when I took the update again, I got service back. I don't recommend it because I may have just been lucky, but no matter what don't flash the gpt, asdspo(?) And bootloader with the older firmware. It'll mess your life up.

Try taking the update again over WiFi if you can. You shouldn't have an issue as long as you're back to stock. But the update is only 3 days old so you may have a chance.

Idk man i try to update and says its upto date i have the xti922-9 says im on OCP27.91-62

At this point no it's gonna need a full reflash of the firmware. I was having issues with my service and went and flashed the OEM file from the 2nd update through fastboot and did the erase carrier command and got my service fixed. Could try that.

If you have the xt1922-9 then that means you have the att version if I'm not mistaken. If so just go to the links in my guide for stock firmware in the att folder. It has both the firmware your on plus the updated firmware from September which is ocp27.91-62-3 plus my guide will help you achieve root. Just please read it all

I flashed bout those firmwares and still nothing i dont understand whats going on or if im messing something up somewhere in the process. It flashes an everything seems to be ok other than the Imei unknown which causes the phone not to read my sim card if im not mistaken. Thanks for taking the time to try and help.

Baseband is software. Radio is a piece of hardware. The piece of hardware that gets your carrier's signal. It can't be upgraded without physically altering the phone. Even then it would need to be the same exact radio because the stock drives probably wouldn't work, and the chances of a dev making a version for 1 person with a different hardware would be slim to none.

If you want him to have your Imei number, you could but thats not a good idea.

Try flashing stock firmware. If that doesn't work there are other options still.

Thanks I flashed every rom for my model and still nothing. Driving me crazy have to use an old junker phone till I find a solution lol

You were flashing a gsi not a rom. Even then a rom and even less so a gsi, doesn't contain all the same data as what stock does.
