I have here a samsung note 2 gt-n7100 from Globe telecom (philippines) which has the following software details:
Android 4.3
Baseband n7100xxuena1
Got this OTA from the time it was released..
The problem is i have tried flashing recovery both cwm and twrp but it doesnt seem to get installed, i flashed 6 times already by odin. And whenever i boot my fone to recovery I still get the stock recovery from samsung. Do you have any idea whether the phone is locked and prohibited from any flashing?
I am trying to root and install custom rom but still no lock. I am really stuck.
I already have installed a custom rom to sghi747 and i9305 before so im not a newbie to most procedures.
Can anyone help / enlighten me?
SOLVED guys
1. downloaded and installed stock from for n7100 (singapore) via Odin
2. flash Philz Recovery
3. Flash Mr.Luong custom rom.

However it says "Do not mix and match 4.3 firmware (bootloaders/modem) with the new NE4 ones. You will hard brick" I jsut did the 4.4 ota update will I be ok if I flash this? also what exactly does it mean do not mix? sorry for the noob question and thank you for anyone who answers.
Also Im rooted and installed Twrp.

But it does not work! every time I try it says error ....
Have also read that you should have stock recorvery, but it would work either.

You are welcome to come up with a detailed way to get Lollipop
for example.
1. UnRoot you phone
2. Flash .....
etc.

which ROM have you tried?
you need T0LTE ROMs and the newest TWRP recovery.
Just do a full wipe and flash ROM.
Make a backup first.
Every single ROM has detailed instruction in thread, usually 1st post.
hello
yesterday for the first time i mess with my phone.
i root it and install twrp recovery then i did a full backup from the recovery and today i notice that i have no signal and the imei null.
i google for this problem and decided to flash by odin the stock rom orange 4.4.2 (the latest for israel) and it solved the problem .
now i have signal and imei.
1- from this point what should i do next for get some costum rom ( say android 5.1 or somthing)?
2- how can i prevent the imei problems?
3- what should i backup if i need to?
4- by flashing the latest stock rom that i did today did it delete the root and the twrp recovery that i did yesterday?

Hi,
I had to flash a couple N7100's , and that was quickly done with DrKetan Multitool adv V6
(got that software after reading this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2531965).
After 2 phone's done and 3 days later I had to do a N7105. Did it also with this tool and that brought me in trouble.
Because this software is for the N7100 and not for the N7105.
When I try to flash a N7105 ROM it say's that that rom will not be able to install, because it is not N7100 software.
It is not rebooting into the actual ROM anymore. Stuck on the Samsung N7105 logo.
So I think I have swiched a setting that a part of the phone thinks it is a N7100 and there fore not running N7105 software anymore.
How can I undo that?
I have played with to many phones so I do not have backup anymore...
Just found out that there is a DrKetan Multitool for the N7105 too (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2446618)
Downloaded it an I did the same as what I did with the N7100 tool (rooting it and maybe installing the Busybox).
After getting the same error I installed a new kernell.
But I still get the same error when flashing the ROM what says it is a 3g device (the N7100):

Try starting over by flashing a stock rom using Odin, flash twrp, then a custom rom?
Rooting isn't required to flash a custom rom, only a custom recovery.

(and after that, I learned that Philz is no longer alife. After 2 day's trouble I installed TWRP and now running the right ROM)
