NFC requires a chip. Our phone doesn't have it.

General consensus is vendor.img contains hardware drivers.
logically speaking it would make more sense for Carrier specific data to reside in radio and modem img.

Sure you can. But it doesn't make sense you'd post this in here. This phone is running android as are 95% phones on this website. Wouldn't it be more logical to ask in the general forum or an android forum give you'll get more views and answers?
