4-way Reboot Menu For 4.3
Note: I am not responsible if you brick your phone or if something breaks. Make sure you make a nandroid backup first before attempting to flash this mod.
This is a 4-way Reboot menu using the files from the official 4.3 UVUEMJC Build
If the flashable zip doesnt work extract the files and manually copy android.policy.jar to /system/framework and change permissions to rw-r-r and reboot. Feel free to use it in your roms just make sure to give credit.

No, this is only for the T-mobile Galaxy S3 since they have different frameworks. Also, this is a really, really old thread and this should now be incorporated into nearly every rom for both the S3 and Note3.

Thanks for the update. I did a search because the T-Mobile Note 3 has Knox which will cause a voided warranty if tripped. If you flash a custom ROM you will trip the Knox counter, unless you use SafeStrap.
I found a 4.3 custom ROM that works through SafeStrap but the WiFi connectivity is awful.
I am just trying to find the 4-way boot menu because it's a pain in the neck to boot to recovery without it.
Thanks for the information.

I am not too sure about it since I don't have a note 3 but did you check out Xposed modules? The Wanam Xposed module has an option for the 4 way reboot menu and it was used on the S3 when the 4.3 update was released before a dev made the official mod for it. I am not sure if the mod works on the Note 3 or not but you can search for it and check out the op.

Thanks.
The exposed modules are exactly the reason I'm asking if I can find it in a flashable format?
Exposed modules don't seem to be very reliable and depending on what I install are causing any number of instabilities.
I'll take a look and search.
Very much appreciate the information.

Scott glad you got the att note 2 you did a lot to make the rezound a half way decent device. Seeing what you were able to do with an htc phone that wasnt fully unlocked in its infancy I am just waiting to see what you can do with this beast of a phone.
For some strange reason, this zip is not working with the latest version of TWRP (v2.3.1.2) as it finishes but it doesn't do anything at all.

Thank you for creating this mod.......however, the download link seems to be down.
EDIT!!!! My apologies!! The download is at http://www.scottsroms.com
I'm confused, to the people running CleanROM and using this patch, doesn't CleanROM already have "4 in Reboot Menu" or is it different in some way.

Samsung tab3 neo SM-T111 - Pre rooted,Deodexed T111XXUBNB2

Hello guys
Anyone here using Samsung Tab3 neo SM-T111 ?
Just I have purchased for my son and made Prerooted,Deodexed ROM from base T111XXUBNB2_T111ODDBNB2_INS. And working fine on multi DPI (tested 130/160)
You guys interested for this then I may start some development stuff.
Let me know.
Good Day !
I'm interested. How did you install recovery on it?
I have got recovery but still it have some issue and under testing (touch not working so not possible to use on aroma.)
So far I have created
-Pre rooted, Deodexed, debloated
-30-battery mods (change battery from 30 available module without rebooting device)
-Internet speed meter
-Hidden power menu (tap on clock to off screen, and long press clock for power menu)
-modded some app for multi DPI, here attached with 130 DPI (stock is 160) + app drawer 5 x 7 grid
-4way reboot menu
-8 Extra toggle in notification area
-Quick launch in notification
-Transparent weather widget
still will take time to finish, meanwile hoping fix for recovery. once everything ready then will post to dev sec.

Welcome to our little tab 3 community.
If your need to rotate recovery to fix touch orientation, have a look at THIS kernel commit. It is originally for the T210 kernel, but I used it when making recovery for the T110 since the board/cpu is the same.
Edit: then add this to init.rc
Code:
# Set touchscreen to landscape mode for recovery
write /sys/devices/virtual/sec/tsp/orientation 6
What I meant was, can I install recovery on the T111 like I would on the T110 (this guide), or is there some other procedure for it?

4.4.2 i317 DN3 (Ditto Note 3)

HI Everyone So i discovered something this morning ,
i just bought a mega and i have a note 2 (i317)
i decided to take a chance and install a N7100 rom on it to see if it worked (DN3 4.4.2)
and GUESS WHAT? it did lol
only problem. the modem/radio doesnt work.
to be specific this was the beta 2 rom from electron team http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2504016
Can any dev out there fix the modem issue? if so this could be a 1up for us i317 users.
everything works when the rom is flashed i even made a video which ill be posting on youtube soon
-wipe data, wipe both cache, & wipe system then flash it & walah.
can anyone help with this??? :good: :highfive:
Can't you flash the correct modem for the mega? I don't even know if its available as a flashable zip, but you could get another mega user to extract the modem using adb, then you could flash it with Odin3.

I have to say, as tempting as it would be to flash to stock 4.3 to take this update, I'm already on 4.3 bootloader and if this is knoxed and prevents me from going back to 4.3, it's definitely not worth trying to flash until the guys make it safe to do so.
Edit: I'm sure someone has already tried so let know how it goes.
Be careful here guys. If you read XDA I'd say there is a 90% chance that you DON'T want to flash this one or accept the OTA from Sprint. Wait for an update labeled "Root + deKnoxed" or similar.
Way to go CNexus for grabbing this so quick!
Give it a day or 2 and we'll have a Rooted stock deodexed. Can't wait thanks cnexus

Copy to SD Card (needs to be an external SD card if I recall), rename to update.zip, power down, reboot to (stock) recovery, choose install update.zip. This will not work from a custom recovery only stock.
Keep in mind, if you don't like what you see, you will most likely not be able to return to MK3.

Pretty sure Sprint won't have Wi-Fi calling for awhile, it doesn't benefit them and their major pull is unlimited data. You can always use a Wi-Fi calling app like "WiCall" or "PHONE for Google Voice" or "GrooveIP"

It's necessary. That's why it's listed as a requirement.
No kitkat touchwiz rom will boot on your device otherwise.
Love your work Cnexus but Im hoping you would provide a little clarification.
1) Since you say this requires installation of the stock Tar Im assuming this will still have Knox built in? specifically in the bootloader I know the apps can be deleted but the bootloader is separate.
2) If I flash the ND8 tar can I downgrade to a previous version ?
Never mind

Don't click it, wait for it to download when you get to the page that says "Downloading"

1) Yes. There's no way around it if you want to ever run 4.4 touchwiz.
2) You can flash any version rom, but not firmware

CNexus... i remember reading a post a couple days ago about a debloating tool that you were working on for ND8, and was wondering how that's coming along? happy to be on 4.4 but also looking forward to getting rid of some of the unnecessary crap app's!
